I took my place in the pilots seat. Rubbing my eyes to rid them of the groggy feeling. Nobody else was up yet and the cockpit was quite dark. Four other seats sat infront of other control panels. I looked at the control panel, our destination on Equis would be reached in approximately five minutes. Looking out the cockpit window I could see that the planet greatly resembled that of Earth. But the land masses were not the same and there seemed to be more land than bodies of water. According to intelligence made by scouting teams that we sent into the galaxy, and the various trade routes we used to have with them. The residences here were, ponies. Ruled by a princess known as Celestia and could speak our language fluently. I flicked a couple switches above my head and slowed us down a little. Getting back out of the seat I left the cockpit and walked down the plain white hallway of our small spaceship 'The Avenger' to the sleeping quarters, where the other four members of the crew slept. Opening the door I flipped a switch on my right side and it bathed the room in a bright white glow. Our quarters were pretty bland, to say the least. Five beds lined the white walls. All of them were occupied. Except for one. My bed. I was greeted with a multitude of groans and someone said, "Five more minutes."

"Wakey wakey everyone. Were approaching Equis, as always. We don't know what to expect, so get suited up." I was voted the defacto leader of the Five, being the lead engineer of our weapon. I turned back around and made my way across the hall to our little armoury. The residents of Equis were said to be non-hostile. But that's the same lie that was told to us by the Darkness.

Six minutes later and we were all sitting in our respective chairs in the cockpit. Jane, our navigator has sky blue eyes and blonde hair that reaches down to the small of her back. She was around the height of 5' 6". Her jumpsuit was a grass green. She is the most serious of our group, often scolding us for cracking jokes at the worst possible times. Her weapon of choice was one of our earlier weapons. A bow. It was black and had a blue trim around the edges. The string, which is actually condensed laser, light glowed blue to match the trim.

Brad, my co-pilot has brown eyes with short brown hair, he stood at a medium height and wore an all black jumpsuit. He is the fun one in our group. Always cracking jokes when we were supposed to be scared. He got alot of flak from Jane because of that. His weapon of choice was a rifle, it looked like an automatic rifle that the military on Earth so often used but it had white light running through tubes that lead from the clip and around the trigger.

Anise. Our weapons expert is probably the least bright of our group. Most of the conflicts we came across she would say the solution would be to blow stuff up. Or to shoot anything that moves. She had black hair that ran down to the tips of her ears and brown eyes that had specks of green. She was around 6 feet tall and her jumpsuit was a dark blue with a black breastplate. Her weapon of choice was a sword, that while it looked like a sword it wasn't. There was a opening on the handle where you could stuff anything in there, pull the trigger and it would become a deadly projectile. It was of Anise's own making. And finally. Cole. He was the shortest of the group and the most diplomatic. We would be nowhere without him, as most of the races we encountered were reluctant to give up their resources. He had blue eyes with blonde hair that was just growing back after being buzz cut. His jumpsuit was a grey and he wore a black cloak. His weapon of choice was a long range sniper. It had a sleek black look and a red light that traveled from the barrel to the clip of the gun.

Our ship. Which we named The Avenger. As we were on a mission to avenge the near extinction of our race was black and has a sleek look to it, good for camouflage while in space.

One minute later and we were gliding over the tips of trees, nearing our destination. "Is everyone ready to go?"

"Always am Nolan!"

"Oh yea! I am itching for another fight!"

"Anise, not everything is resolved by blowing shit up." I heard Cole remark. I smiled and shook my head. These two got at it all the time. I brought us in for a landing, we were located somewhere in a forest, and lowered the ramp. "We are just above our objective. So lets go!" We raced out of the cockpit and down walked around, looking for anything that would lead us underground. "Over here!" I heard Brad call and I jogged to his direction. There was a slight incline that lead down into a narrow ravine. "Ready?" I asked as I received nods from the four. We moved down the incline cautiously until we reached the bottom. The rock looked like it was cut away by the residents here, and was not at all natural. We proceeded deeper into the ravine, and soon it began to close up at the top. Only letting small rays of light in through the minuscule cracks in the rock, providing just enough light so we could see where we were stepping.

Five minutes later a blue light appeared ahead of us. As we walked toward it, the light began to take the form of a tree. I looked at my digital map. The tree was our objective. We kept moving forward until we were about a hundred yards from the tree. After a quick once over of the strange crystal tree. I came to a conclusion. "The gems are not here."

Twilight Sparkle stood on her balcony. Looking at the stars with her telescope. As she moved her view to the west and noticed something odd. There was a star, that was not present before in the sky. If it could even be called a star... It seemed to move through the sky, slowly growing larger. Shaking her head she rubbed her eyes. "Must just be my imagination. Its getting late anyway." She turned from her balcony and laid down. But she could not get to sleep. Not even the snoring of Spike. Her number one assistant could lull her into sleep. Twilight rolled over and stuffed her head into her pillow. "Why can I not stop thinking about that stupid star?" She groaned into her pillow.

After hours of trying to get to sleep the sun began to poke over the horizon. Spike, Twilight's number one assistant sat up from his bed, rubbing the sleep from his eyes. "Morning Twilight," He yawned before looking over to her bed, noticing she wasn't there, but her bed sheets were messed, showing that she was there at some point in the night. He walked down the stairs to the kitchen. Where he saw Twilight, in the reading room poring over books. "Uh, Twilight? You okay?" Spike asked, worried. Twilight looked up from her book, eyes bloodshot. "I saw something last night Spike, and its not anywhere in my books!" She gestured to a pile of over thirty books to her right. She did a quick once-over of the one she was on now before her horn flared a purple light and it went over to join the reject pile. She sighed... "Spike. Take a letter."

Princess Celestia arrived as soon as she could. "What was this anomaly you witness last night my faithful student?"

"I.... I don't know, Princess. It was weird. Not the same color as a shooting star, yet it almost seemed like one. I haven't been able to get it out of my head since." Princess Celestia, however didn't hear the rest of her story. 'Could it be? A shooting star, yet not really... If Twilight thinks it's some sort of anomaly. Then it must be them. They have come back... The Guardians have finally come back.'[/i
