The death of a Rainbow

The Crystal Empire comes into view within a matter of minutes. As the pegasi get closer they decrease their altitude to about twenty feet and then drop their partner. As soon as the first hoof touches the ground everything falls apart. "NOW!!" King Sombra yells from his castle as large black crystal monsters break away from the buildings and castle. Sombra starts summoning spikes through the ground that spear a couple soldier's. "Bring it on you crystal FREAKS!" Miki screams as he draws his sword with his magic and slices a monsters legs off.

The next few minutes of battle seem like hours to the soldiers as some are smashed into the ground or speared by crystals from the king. A crystal monster appears behind Miki, Rainbow notices just in time and zooms to the ground with sword in hoof and stabs it through the head. "You really need to watch your flank!" Rainbow yells to Miki. Miki turns just in time to see a crystal starting to grow behind Rainbow. "RAINBOW LOOK OUT!!" Miki jumps to knock him out of the way but is to late.

*Shunk* Rainbows eyes roll back in his head. Miki's eyes start to well up with tears. "NO!" Miki drops his sword and rushes to Rainbow. "RAINBOW NO PLEASE! DON'T YOU DIE ON ME DAMNIT DON'T YOU DIE!" Miki screams as he begins to cry. "M-Miki, looks like I wasn't watching my own flank huh?" Rainbow says with a smile,with some blood dripping out of his mouth. "Please Rainbow don't die on me PLEASE!" Miki picks up a sword and cuts off part of the crystal.

Miki slowly lowers Rainbows' dark blue body onto the black ground. "Rainbow please don't die!" "Miki I'll be *cough* fine." "If I do die on this battle field I want you to know, I love you like a brother." As he finished the sentence he closed his eyes and was gone. Miki then not caring anymore lifted Rainbow with his magic and walked from the battle. Towards home, ignoring the other deaths around him.
