The Mystery of the Night.

by Lexii
This story is written in the way of my OC's and how I proceive everything and how it would work if it was a show.

It was a dark and cold by the time Luna was showing her daughter Midnight Luna how to bring forth the night. It was only clear because Luna’s husband Electric Storm had cleared the clouds so Luna could teach their daughter about the night sky. Luna stood focusing her magic to pull the moon over the horizon; Midnight Luna who is only a filly wanted to help. Midnight felt the pull of the moon but couldn't lift it. Her mother was sad as she wanted her daughter to bring for the night like she had for a thousands of years. “Ready Midnight; this time we are going to bring in the stars. I will help at first but then I want you to decorate the night sky with the beautiful stars. I believe you can do it sweetie.” Luna said in nothing more than a whisper. The wind whipped Luna’s dark blue mane around as she than stood to her hoofs and a couple stars appeared. Midnight was focused as if she was decorating her room all over again, than one by one the stars appearing in the night sky, some forming beautiful constellations such as Ryan’s belt, which was one of her favorites because it was so easy. But this wasn't her calling, she didn't get her cutiemark for decorating the night sky. Little did she know this was never going to be her calling.

“Mommy one day I am going to grow up to be like you than make a constellation called Alicorn for all of us alicorns who look up at the night sky.” Midnight would say as she smiled. Luna chuckled as she looked down at her young filly.

“Whatever you say my silly filly.” Luna said. Midnight jumped all the way back to her room in the castle, she flew around to wear out her energy some than curled into her bed and her mother tucked her in and kissed her goodnight.

“Goodnight my little filly. I love you.” Luna started to sing her the lullaby she did every night when putting Midnight to sleep.. “Moonlight… Star light… Darkness falls, from the shadows owls call. All shall be yours one day, 'till than sleep. Dream the night away, lalu, lalu, crickets chirping in the vale, lalu, lalu hear the song of the nightingale, all of this shall be yours soon, 'till than sleep, we shall raise the moon.” Luna sang softly to the young filly, and then left when she fell asleep.
