Put One Hoof in Front of the Other
Moaning and groaning sounded throughout the darken depths of space. A planet rests in the background, covered in water and green land. Then the blissfulness of space and the planet was suddenly interrupted by the sight of a falling blue box. The box was falling at a meteor like speed, uncontrollably flailing about.
Inside was a man, a man in a blue suit, accompanied with his suit was a red tie, and red sneakers. He was a brown headed man, with brown eyes, and pale skin. The man was piloting this big blue box.
"Uhm, excuse me, NARRATOR! This isn't just any 'blue box' this is a MACHINE! It also happens to have a name! It's named the TARDIS, meaning Time And Relative Dimension In Space. If you could KINDLY refer to this beautiful machine with her proper name, then we will all be fine. THANK YOU!"
"Uhm... okay? I think we just broke the fourth wall, but whatever floats your boat, mysterious man..."
"I AM NOT MYSTERIOUS! Okay, well maybe to some.. I am The Doctor! I am a time traveler, I'm a Time Lord, from the planet Gallifrey, which sits in the constellation of Kasterbourous, that's basically all you need to know, reader! Oh, and do not worry about the fourth wall.. Walls can be plastered and re-painted." The Doctor spoke, giving a smirk.
"Alright, then... Where were we? Oh, yes! The TARDIS is falling to the planet below. Now if we can continue without any interruptions."
"Yes, please, THANK YOU!"
~
The Doctor was trying his damnedest to keep the TARDIS from crashing into the planet. He was piloting it like crazy, pressing about a million buttons, before throwing his foot upon the control panel, hitting even more buttons before being thrown back into the wide seated chair behind him. He jumped back to the control panel, smiling crazily, as if impressed and angry at the same time.
"Come on you beaut! I know you can do this! We are NOT going to crash! YOU GOT IT?!?" The Doctor yelled to the TARDIS, giving it a pep talk, and then it moaning back in response.
"I know, I know. You WILL LAND. Safely, you will NOT CRASH!" The Doctor yelled once more, before pressing another million buttons, sending the TARDIS into a frenzy, throwing him about the interior.
The Doctor pulled himself back to the controls, pressing one more button, before a large flash spreads, blinding The Doctor, making him faint. He lay at the door of the TARDIS, its flight becoming more and more steady as is pulls into the planet's gravity making it land more safely. When the TARDIS landed with a soft bang The Doctor's eyes slow fluttered open. His sight was blurred a little, before he became more aware that the TARDIS was much more calmer. He tried to stand, but he couldn't.
'Hmm, thats weird. Why can't I stand? Is something holding me down? No, no! Thats impossible!' He thought.
He looked up to see the TARDIS door, and he had realized when he was thrown into his state of blindness he must have been thrown all the way to the other side of the TARDIS entrance. He pushed the door open slowly, just as he was gaining back his strength. He stood up, and actually did this time, but he quickly fell face first into the ground below.
'Well, at least it was ground, and not space.. I wonder where the TARDIS has taken me this time..' He thought, spitting out a mouthful of dirt.
"Eugh, that is disgusting. But not as bad as pears. I hate pears. Why can't pears just die..." The Doctor stood back up, and then quickly grabbing the door of the TARDIS to gain balance.
"Maybe this earth is very 'tilty' because I cannot seem to keep my balance! This is most definitely an earth. There's no way possible that these, buildings were just put here when the planet was created.. I must find the inhabitance of this planet..." The Doctor then tried to take another step but then fell again, but on his back, to the ground.
"OW! For goodness sakes! Why do I keep falling?" The Doctor sat up, looking at the TARDIS, skimming it from bottom to top. Half way towards the top The Doctor quietly mumbles something under his breath.
"My goodness, TARDIS, you are so very..very....sexy.." The Doctor smirks and raises an eye brow as his eyes continued to the top. The TARDIS's perfection was absolutely marvelous. But something was different.. Why does the sign that says 'POLICE PUBLIC CALL BOX' now say 'PONY PUBLIC CALL BOX'. That's strange..
The Doctor looked around this strange world, where we was, was covered with trees, and benches aplenty. It was a park. And it was nice, and quaint. There seemed to be two lifeforms sitting on a distant bench. One being a very light blue, with a blue hair cut. Did-did the lifeform have a horn? Li-like a unicorn? That's strange.. The other lifeform next to the other one was a cream color, with a purple and pink mane. That one seemed pretty normal.. Nothing strange, really. Then he saw another lifeform. It was pink, and bouncing. It had a pink skin color, and a dark pink hair cut, and was very poofy, and curly. She was holding a basket.
He then looked around and then say an abundance of these lifeforms everywhere. Some with horns, some with wings, and some normal..The Doctor sat confused.
"How the hell did I end up here?! Surrounded by these, these, these, THINGS!" The Doctor put his hand to his forehead it a state of pain. 'My god, this headache! Why does it hurt so much.' He thought. Then he noticed something different about his hand... It wasn't a hand, it was a- A what? A-a-a-a hoof?
"BY THE NAME OF GALLIFREY--" The Doctor shouted, "WHY ARE MY HANDS, HOOVES? AND-AND-AND MY FEET! MY GOD! 'Did I regenerate? No, I couldn't possibly have. But how am I? What?!?!?!' He thought..
"My goodness, this is quite of a doozy.."
Then The Doctor raised his head slowly... His eyes were wide, and he had a strange look on his face.. He then slowly turned his head to see a curious gray coat, and blonde hair. Her eyes were yellow, and kind of -- all over the place. She had a mailman hat on her head, and a mailbag around her... shoulder? No, waist? Wait, no, stomach? Erm.. maybe all three?
"Uh.. excuse me, miss?"
"Oh, uh. Hi."
"Uhm.. Hello. Can I help you, with something?" The Doctor looked at her confusingly.
"Oh, uh, no! Sorry for staring. You just, I mean.. You just hopped out of a giant blue box that appeared out of no where. I had to see what this is all about."
"Oh, well. Okay then.. On the other hand...--"
"Hands? What are hands?" The figure asked.
"Uhm, hands, with palms, and fingers."
"What?" She looked confused.
"I don't really have time. Anyways, can you please help me?"
"Oh, uh, sure! With what, sir?"
"Well, for one thing, I don't know where the hell I am, I don't know WHAT I am, and I have no clue why I can't walk."
"Well, okay. Uhm.. First off you're in Ponyville. You are a pony. And I don't know, maybe you are paralyzed?"
"Ponyville? Pony? PARALYZED?!?! Wait, no. I can stand, so I'm not paralyzed. Why am I in Ponyville? And HOW THE HELL AM I A PONY!?!?"
"I don't know how or why you're here, and I'm pretty sure you're a pony because you were born that way..."
"Well, okay. I'M NOT SUPPOSED TO BE PONY, I SHOULD BE HUMAN!"
"Human? What's that?"
"Ugh." The Doctor face-palmed. Or in pony terms, face-hoofed.
"I KNOW WHAT A HUMAN IS!" shouted a voice in the background. Possibly the blue unicorn with the blue mane.
"Well, I'm Derpy. Derpy Hooves. I can help you, find who you are, I guess." The mare said with a bright smile.
"Wow.. Thank you, Derpy. I'm The Doctor."
"Oh, neato! A doctor in what?"
"Uhm.. Everything, I guess. I dabble a lot. And I'm very clever!" The Doctor said fixing his tie.
"Oh, I have a tie! Good, I always need that. Wait, if I have a tie, I must have my....... AH, YES! MY SONIC SCREWDRIVER!" The Doctor then hugged his screwdriver.
"Uhm.. Okay?"
"Oh, sorry, personal moment. Anyways! I need to find why I am here, and what will happen that is so bad it has callen for presence."
"Well. I think the first step to finding that out is trying to get you to stand up."
"Yes! I agree!" The Doctor said, trying to pull himself up.
"Derpy, help me out here, please." The Doctor said, holding out a hoof.
Derpy grabbed his hoof and tugged with her might to try and pull The Doctor on his four hooves.
"Uhm.. Doctor? I can call you Doctor, right? Why are you having trouble walking?"
"I don't know, I may just be getting used to this new body. And of course you can."
The Doctor was still holding Derpy's hoof to try and keep his balance, when all of sudden The Doctor fell, once more, bring Derpy down with him, falling right on top of him.
"OH MY GOODNESS! So sorry, Ms. Hooves! I didn't mean --"
"No, Doctor, it's fine, mistakes happen. No worries." Derpy said with a bashful smile.
"Wow. Thank you, Ms. Hooves."
Derpy flew up again, and pulled with her strength and got The Doctor up and on his own hooves again. Then Derpy let go of his hoof, and he put it down, and started walking.
"DERPY! DERPY, LOOK! I'M WALKING, I'M WALKING ON MY HOOVES!" The Doctor said, smiling brightly at his new found feeling of accomplishment. He looked at Derpy then walked over to her.
"Ms. Hooves, since you've told me what I am, where I am, and even helped me learn to walk, I choose YOU, as my temporary companion!"
"Wow, really! Wait, what do I do?"
"Nothing! It's really easy!"
"Wow, sounds like fun!" Derpy said, smiling.
"Indeed! Now, I have learned to walk, but I need to learn to run. Or gallop. Whichever."
"Oh? Galloping is easy! Shouldn't you have learned this has a colt? Ah, whatever! Its easy, all you do is put one hoof in front of the other--"
"Why does that remind me of a song....?" The Doctor said following Derpy's instructions...
