Decades after the Crystal Rebellion, Equestria and The Frozen North are in a tense truce, with the threat of war constantly hanging over everypony's heads. Its been this way for years now.

Dipole is a radio operator in the Equestrian Army's 'Electronic Warfare' department. It's his job to monitor, intercept, jam, and sometimes even decode radio signals picked up from across enemy lines the border. He is one of the few ponies in Equestria with some idea as to what happens inside the secretive and secluded Crystal Empire, a nation keen to keep its cards to its chest.

Scanning through the airwaves one day, he stumbles across something juicy: he'd found the frequency used by the Crystal Empire's own Electronic Warfare department. He started monitoring this signal in the hopes that he'd be able to decipher
what Equestrian intelligence they'd managed to pick up. He didn't, however, take into account the operator on the other end.

Just who is this mare, and why is she so talkative?
