Labor: Day 2 (Discord)

Blueblood was woken up because of the cold. He looked around the room for his blanket, and found it in a ball at the corner of the room.

How did it get there? He wondered before walking over and attempting to pick it up. Just before he reached it, it rolled out of his line of vision.

"Huh?" He reached out again, only for it to roll away... again.

This went on for a while, and it turned into a chase. Finally Blueblood charged at the blanket, hollering at the top of his voice.

"YAAAAARGHH!!"

... only for it to roll away, causing his horn to be stuck in the dusty bookshelf.

"My, my. Not a bright one, are you?"

The book in front of him grew a pair of mischievous yellow eyes. as he struggled to pull himself out. "Let me help you with that."

A loud 'POP' was heard before Blueblood fell onto his rump. His head feels... empty.

"*GASP* My HORN!" He exclaimed before he realised that the only pony... or rather, draconian... that could do this was-

"DISCORD!!!"

"Oh, you're finally awake." Discord appeared on the dusty bed.

"What did you do to my horn?" Blueblood screamed. "My beautiful horn!"

"Oh, nothing. This will last for a day." He then appeared next to him in a cowboy costume. "But you'll need to work for it."

"Wha-"

POP!

The Day Before...

Discord was summoned to Celestia's room.

"Discord. Please stop this." She placed her hoof on her chair and pushed it down onto the floor.

'Hm? Oh alright..." With a flick of his hand everything that was floating or crawling or spitting out leaves was returned to its original form and place. "Killjoy."

"My nephew... Blueblood. He needs a chore. Could you-"

"Oh, I know where this is going, Tia" He sang, doing a loop-de-loop and making a pencil go alive. "You want me to give him a good ol' chore, eh?"

"To Sweet Apple Acres!!!"

Discord then took a lasso from his horn, step through the circle in the middle, and disappeared along with the lasso itself.

Unknown to him, Celestia blushed and levitated the dancing pencil into a small doll's house.

"Oh, you..."

"-t do you mean?" Blueblood finished his sentence before he realised that he was no longer in the castle.

"Howdy partner!" An unfamiliar voice called out to him. He turned to see two ponies staring at him, a mare and a stallion.

"Now, mah name's Applejack, and mah brother Big Macintosh here will supervise ya and make sure that ya'll won't hurt yerself." The orange mare spoke enthusiastically. Her brother nodded.

"Eeyup."

Blueblood huffed, knowing where this is getting at. "So... you have Celestia's permission to work on your farm and blah... lets just get this over with."

"Alright, follow me." Applejack said before leading the two stallions to a stable nearby.

"Now, here's where tha Apples keep the animals like cows and pigs. We come here every day ta clean it, refill tha food and so on. Yer job is ta finish tha chore list pinned to that wall." She pointed to a small paper stuck to a wall with a pin on the far side of the barn. "Yer got that?"

Blueblood walked up to the list.

"Eh, Discord never told me that yer an Earth pony. First Earth pony royalty ah've seen 'round these places."

Blueblood scowled. "My HORN," he growled, "was TAKEN by a godly WANNABE!"

"O-kay then. Do yer chores, and by the time yall're done Celestia's sun will be takin' a nap!" With that happy note, Applejack walked away.

"Alright then, lets see..."

Chores for the day:

- Feed the pigs

- Milk the cows

- Feed the cows

- Shear the sheep

- Bathe the Pigs

- Let sheep out for grazing

- Put new bedding for Sheep, Pigs and Cows

Ugh, more chores...

And so Blueblood began.

Big Macintosh had to help him out on most occasions, and when he gets prissy, Big Mac gave off a very hostile atmosphere.

Like at the 'Shear the Sheep' Chore.

"No Way!" Blueblood protested. "I'm not shearing sheep! Can't their wool just... I don't know, fall off?"

Big mac walked up to him, and swung a massive hoof around his neck. He leaned in close and spat out the weed in his mouth.

"We won't wanna disappoint Celestia, would we?" He spoke in a dangerously calm voice.

Blueblood may be stupid, but he wasn't that stupid.

"Erm, yes, that's right. Won't want to disappoint her..."

Soon only one chore was left:

Chores for the day:

- Feed the pigs

- Milk the cows

- Feed the cows

- Shear the sheep

- Bathe the Pigs

- Let sheep out for grazing

- Put new bedding for Sheep, Pigs and Cows

Blueblood looked at the list and groaned.
