Chapters Berry Punch lay in her bed when she was awoken by a gentle nudging tickling her ribs. Cracking her eyes open she saw her daughter Ruby Pinch. Giving her a gentle smile, “What’s up honey? Did you wanna snuggle?”
Ruby blushed heavily and struggled into the bed, “Hey! Hey! Hey momma! Di-didja know … didja ya know that you are super sexy?”
“What?! Honey, Momma’s little love, are you drunk?” Berry asked.
“I luff it when ju call me honey, or your lil’ love, call me it again,” Ruby said leaning close to her mother’s muzzle.
Berry Punch backpedaled until her back was pressed against the headboard. Ruby tried seductively slinking up to her, but ended up drunkenly waddling instead to her mother’s general direction. Berry asked again, “Ho - Pinchy, are you drunk?”
“Nah! Imma not drunk, I mad shure ta drank from the tap shalf,” Ruby drunkenly slurred.
Berry combed her memories and gave herself a mighty facehoof, “Oh! My! Celestia! Holy buck I can’t forgot to label it. Honey, that was mommy’s newest experimental, special punch. Sorry baby but you’re drunk.”
“But I don’t care, I want ya ta be mah sexy, sexy, fillyfriend, mommy, lover pony!” Ruby said, “Yar sa kind, and gentle, you make evar-ee poneh happy with your drinks, and enter … en. entra… happy fun timez. I don’t care if I’m drunk! I need you! I need you so bad, please be my fillyfriend?” Ruby said.
Berry Punch grabbed her and held her against her barrel, “Poor baby, your first drunken confession. I had quite a few of those, but I’ll tell you what. Tomorrow if you remember tonight, we’ll talk. But if you forget, then we can both forget this ever happened. Alright Pinchy?”
Ruby nodded into her barrel, “Do I have to go away mommy?”
“No baby, you can stay with mommy tonight,” Berry whispered tenderly giving her a compassionate nuzzle.
Ruby mumbled her thanks before passing out, snoring softly as her body molded itself to her mother’s subtle contours. Berry looked at Ruby, rubbing her mane as she watched over her. Moments like this, minus the being drunk or the confession of love, was a common occurrence. Even though Berry had given Ruby her own room since she was two, but Ruby almost always found her way to her mother’s bed.
It was something she actually looked forward to after a long, hectic days work. Coming to see her daughter on her bed, and wrapping her forehooves around her like a nice comfy beanie baby. Or on her days off when she’d be feeling restless and her daughter would climb into the bed and cuddle with her and Berry, much like right now would pet her mane, or hold her close feeling the warmth radiating from her body.
For Berry it wasn’t a sexual thing, her daughter needed physical affection and closeness, and Berry needed the same thing. But looking at her daughter snoring in her arms, she couldn’t help but feel as if all those little somethings she did to show her daughter that she loved her was somehow responsible for Ruby having the hots for her. Leaning over she gave Ruby a light kiss on the forehead before whispering, “Sorry if I caused this my little love. You are the most important pony in my life, and I don’t want to lose you.”
Berry looked at her daughter snoring adorably, walked over to the thick, sun blocking curtains of her room, that usually acted as her best friend against the raising sun when she was feeling hungover. She threw open the curtains and saw Ruby shift and grumble before going back to sleep. Shaking her head she walked over to her small collection of smelling salts she usually used when feeling tired from after a night of hard drinking, or a quick pick me up. Thank Celestia for Carrot Top, I’d never be half as functional sober if it wasn’t for her potions and herbal remedies. I heard Zecora's is even better, but like Tartarus I’m going into the Everfree Forest. I’d rather do a deal with Tirek, than do that.
As the vial passed under Rubies nose her eyes popped open and she looked at Berry Punch, “Whoever invented morning, needs to be put in timeout,” Ruby Pinch pouted.
Berry Punch laughed, “I know Ruby, when you’re ready meet me downstairs okay? I’ll make your favorite breakfast.”
As Berry walked down the smile fell from her face as she hoped with every fiber of her being that her daughter forgot last night, or at least pretended she did. She was dreading the talk they’d have otherwise. She admitted as far as drunken confessions, her daughters wasn’t the worst one she ever heard. Although most of those came from her to some random pony for her need of companionship and to have a friendly body to make love to on lonely nights. Sure she and Cheerilee helped each other out from time to time, but it was something Cheerilee needed less and less from her older sister as time went by.
It took her a while to make Ruby’s special breakfast salad with caramel and whipped cream topping. Her salad was a mix of maraschino cherries, caramelized apples, honey glazed grapes, and a sprinkling of muffin chunks. Cooled in the refrigerator until cool enough that they didn’t melt the dressing added. Berry didn’t know when she made it first, but Ruby loved it and for the longest time hounded her to make it more. Hopefully it would take the sting away if she had to have to talk.
Berry had set the table and sat down when Ruby trudged down the stairs. Stumbling about like a zompony. Berry threw up a brave smile and said with as much as she could muster, “Hey Ruby, I made your favorite.”
Ruby nodded and sat at the table, but rather than tear into it with wild abandon she just pushed the food around. Berry was feeling worried when Ruby Pinch looked at her with tears filling her eyes, “I’m sorry that I did a bad thing last night, please don’t be mad at me!”
“Bwha?! What makes you think I’m mad at you?” Berry asked flabbergasted.
“Because you only call me Ruby, or Ruby Pinch when I’m in trouble or I do something that makes you mad. And last night I accidentally drank the punch on the top shelf not knowing it wasn’t for me and my friends. Then I started telling you how I felt. Then all this morning you only called me Ruby. So I must be a bad pony if you’re calling me Ruby!” Ruby bawled dejectedly.
Oh snap! I do only do that when she’s done something wrong, “Sugar Bugger. You did nothing wrong at all. I-it’s just … it’s just that I you know?”
“Noooo? Know what?” Ruby sniffled.
“Well you said that it turns you on when I call you my pet names for you, and I don’t want to lead you on. But … buck me!” Berry cried bringing her forehooves over her face and dragging them downwards.
“Realy! We can do that big pony game like you and Aunty Cheers?!” Ruby asked in between a hopeful cheer and a sob.
“No! And where did you get that idea?” Berry said torn between having a very uncomfortable talk with her daughter coming up, and wanting to comfort the same pony she wanted to have said talk with.
“Well one day I came home early when you said that you and Cheers need to have a big pony talk, and I saw the door open and you two were doing those things the mares in your magazines and videos under your bed do,” Ruby mentioned off hoovedly, wiping the snot off her nose with a forehoof, “Of course after that when she comes over I do my best to sneak in and watch you two.”
Oh! My! Celestia! My daughter’s seen me have sex with my sister! And she likes it! I don’t know what to feel with that little tidbit, “So, have you told anypony else?” Berry asked.
“Nu-uh! It’s nopony’s business what two ponies do behind closed doors! That and I asked Twilight in a roundabout way if two sisters were to have sex if it made them special someponies, and she said no. And that it was incest and illegal, then she asked why I wanted to know and I told her a part truth,” Ruby said, blushing more and more with her explanation.
“That I read about WinCest in a magazine hidden under your bed when I was cleaning, and she said that. that while illegal, is also a … feetish?” Ruby asked.
“Fetish, honey. Go on,” Berry said, waving her forehoof to signal her daughter should continue.
“And if it’s fake siblings its alright, which she said a lot of those things had. Then she told me that I shouldn’t play with big pony things until I’m older,” Ruby finished.
“Well … that is something,”Berry stated, “Well thank you very much for keeping me and Cheerilee’s secret honey. That’d be bad if other ponies knew about it, especially since we only have sex once in a while.”
“But shouldn’t you only have sex with a special somepony?” Ruby asked confusedly.
And the conversation becomes that much more awkward. Thank you Celestia! Just what I wanted … but I guess she has to learn sometime. Might as well be now, “Well Sugar Lump, it’s like this. Big ponies have sex for lots of different reasons, and with their own little rules as to what makes it special. Me and your Auntie Cheers only bump horse shoes when we’re feeling lonely, or we need somepony special to makes us know that we are loved. But we never do it if we have a special somepony ourselves at any given moment.
“But … you’re right it should only be when you have a special somepony, but what I guess I’m trying to say is. If you find a pony you really like, and feel safe around. Safe enough to trust with a special part of yourself, then that’s a good minimum. But you should take the time, and date them to make sure they are the right pony to give that part of you to. Alright Sugar Bugger?”
Ruby nodded her crying subsiding to a hopeful look mixed with the tiniest bits of fear, “So if a pony makes me feel safe, loved, and I feel like I can give them that special part of me to, then they are my special somepony?”
“That’s a good rule to go by,” Berry nodded.
“Then I still want you to be my special somepony,” Ruby said with as much conviction as her little body could manage.
This is going to be one long talk.
Berry left the table to get a pitcher of berry-infused lemonade, and a few glasses so that they could have something while they talked, while also giving them a bathroom break. The distraction was for Ruby’s benefit as much as it was for Berry’s. After she sat the table she went to the spare bathroom and looked at herself in the mirror.
Okay, so my daughter has the hots for me. Is persistent, and knows enough about keeping things like this a secret that I might not lose her. But OMC! I really don’t know if I want to humor this, on one hoof she’s so adorable, I love her with all my heart, and she is adawwable. But on the other, I could lose her, or something could happen like it did her father and she’ll decide she’s better off than with some plain, boring, weakass talent Earth Pony.
There’s a reason us Earth Ponies rarely end up with a pony of the other races for long, who wants to be with an Earth Pony, when you can be with a winged Pegasi that can fly and do cool tricks. Or a Unicorn that has all kinds of special abilities … No Berrs! We aren’t going to get depressed again and drink away our sorrows before having the biggest talk of our lives with our precious gem.
I admit I’m terrified of seeing what would happen if I do this. So much could go wrong, and I don’t want to hurt my baby. Even if by accident … But would it be so wrong to be with a pony that I love, and loves me back? Even knowing I’m not all that special? I guess I’ll have to see where this goes.
Back in the kitchen Berry sat herself down and said, “Listen Baby Love, I want to say some things before we even begin thinking of taking this to the next level. Okay?”
Ruby nodded and waited for Berry to continue, “Well it’s like this. While I won’t admit that there are some pluses I can think of when it comes to us being together,” Berry waited out the squeal of delight before continuing, “There are some negatives, and things you need to understand before we begin to take this seriously.
“First if anypony finds out about us, if we aren’t careful, at least until you’re a grown mare. Well grown enough to be with a mare sexually, then ponies will come and take you away from me. I’ll admit that, that is the biggest negative. You a lot of days are the only thing keeping me going on in life. If I lost you, I don’t know what I’d do,” Berry sighed.
Ruby paled at that and looked absolutely mortified, Berry’s heart broke at that but she needed Ruby to understand just how much was at stake, “I don’t mean to scare you, but you have to see this realistically and understand the bad along with the good. And if ponies found out that we were doing this with one another we would lose each other, possibly forever.
“Second thing you have to understand, if we do keep it a secret, and are alone in this. If we ever did have a baby, for whatever reason in anyway other than adoption. There’s a huge chance it could be born with lots of bad things, and have a lot of health problems. We have a chance that it could be healthy, but we still need to be careful.
“And lastly, you need to know that I’m not perfect. I’m just a plain, ordinary, Earth Pony who gets drunk a lot, and makes more mistakes than most ponies. If you’re looking for the perfect life partner, I’m more than likely not it. I’ll make mistakes, do stupid things, and probably say something someday that’ll make you want to leave me. What are your thoughts on those?”
Ruby closed her eyes and shuddered. The last thing she wanted to do was lose her mother, and knowing that any babies they may have might be doomed to being born unhealthy gave her the shivers. But then she remembered that these were just the negatives, but not the positives. Pulling herself out of her thoughts she saw her mother waiting for her answer.
“I … I don’t want to lose you either. But if I can keep you and Aunty Cheers secret, for the last five years, then I can keep this secret too. I don’t care if nopony ever knows how much I love you, you’ll know and I’ll know. That’ll be enough I guess. Just as long as you love me that’s all that matters.
“As for the baby thing. I don’t know if I’m ready for babies right now, but when I am. How ever we have them, wherever they come from, I will love them as much as I love you because me and you made them together with our love! And that’s all that matters.
“And mommy?”
“Yes Sugar Love,” Berry said teary eyed.
“I know you aren’t perfect, but as you say a lot when you make mistakes. To err is equine. I think only the Princesses are perfect, but other than that, everypony makes mistakes. So that doesn’t matter to me. I know that no matter what, no matter what you do, to me you are utterly amazing and you are full awesomesauce. Even that sauce you and Auntie Cheers leave stained on the bed sometimes before you do laundry. So … yeah, I love you. So does that mean we can be fillyfriends?” Ruby asked with a grin.
“Well … Oh heck, yes. Yes we can give it a shot,” Berry said, “But a few ground rules.”
Ruby was bouncing in her seat, shuddering filly gasps of unrestrained glee bursting out of her, “What are they! I’ll do anything you want just say it!”
“Well love, rule number one, we can’t be more intimate than ponies are used to seeing us do when in any public place. That means no hoof holding, tail holding, kissing like fillyfriends do, and no talking about private stuff alright?”
“Um … okay, but aren’t we pretty affectionate publically already?” Ruby asked.
“Yes, and that works in our favor. But there’s a fine line between what we normally do and what fillyfriends do,” Berry replied before moving on, “Second rule. No telling anypony about us. If we want to give this a shot then we have to keep it a secret.”
“I know, I already said I can do that,” Ruby said with a pout.
“I know Sugar Love, but I need to make sure you know that, and second to last rule, until we’ve been on at least a few dates. You have to sleep in your own room. It’s not appropriate for ponies who are dating to sleep with each other before a few dates. Can you do that?”
“Does this count?”
“Sure love. This most definitely counts,” Berry nodded, “and lastly, and most importantly, if at any time we are doing something that makes you feel uncomfortable, or you want to stop what we have. You have to let me know, I won’t be mad, or upset. But good communication is a must in a relationship.”
“Alright I can do those, so … are we fillyfriends now?” Ruby asked.
When Berry nodded, Ruby squealed with delight and tackled her mother with all of her strength, “I love you so much! I promise to be the most bestest fillyfriend I can be.”

I'll admit I've never seen Berry Punch X Ruby Pinch in a foalcon before, and the only Berry Punch I'm familiar with is in L!Verse who too me. While she gets krunk a lot, is rather mature and thoughtful. So I hope I did these two right. This ship was requested by Gas Jockey Pegasus [like the other FLVerse ones I'll be starting], and I'll admit I feel inspired to write them. I hope y'all enjoy this fic, and yes I'll admit the clop won't be coming for a few chapters since I want to build up a relationship with them first. Let things grow naturally.
But when it does come it will be amazing. Well depending on your particular fetish likes or dislikes. Amazing or uncomfortable. Fetishes are weird like that, hopefully though y'all will like what I put out when I get to that part. This chapter here takes place the same time as Torch of Forbidden Love takes place. [will link said fic here when I submit it. As of now it's complete but waiting me to submit and publish it in chunks stands at 46,779 words].
Berry Punch and Ruby spent the rest of the morning planning their first official date as fillyfriends, and after much discussion decided on something that would give them both privacy and a hint of romance besides a nice candlelit dinner at home. And that was a nice relaxing picnic at night, by the lake, since it was the closest thing to a picnic at the beach a pony could get in Ponyville.
So each pony went there respective ways for the rest of the day as each of them went to get things to make their rendezvous as perfect as possible. Berry watched as Ruby bounced off and while a part of her still felt as if it was a happy dream that was going to come crashing down around her, she still couldn’t shake the building warmth building in her heart.
Her first order of the day was setting up the drinks, while the food would have to be from elsewhere to make it more special, drinks of all kinds were her specialty. If it had fruit in it, or it could be juiced she could make a drink out of anything. After all she had plenty of practice.
Ruby Pinch was on cloud nine ever since she left the house. There was a bounce in her step, and a song in her heart. Sadly she was self conscious about her voice and never sang unless she could be drowned out by a crowd, but that didn’t dim her spirits in the least.
As she skipped down the road in filly glee she thought to herself, So lets see here what’d be the most romantic thing I can do for my special somepony? I could buy her chocolate, since I know I like it when ponies give me candy on Hearts and Hooves Day. But that might be too cheesy, and she might not like that. I could get her flowers, I know she likes tulips and baby’s breath. That might make it special … But I only have sixty bits to buy stuff with and Tulips are pricey … maybe I could by one Tulip and several baby breath’s around it? That sounds good! So that’s my first stop.
As she got to the marketplace she saw Dinky Doo stop by the flower ponies and pull out a massive bag of bits. Feeling her own, much more smaller bag, she felt a tad insecure about her own bits. She waited for Dinky to leave and trotted up to Lilly feeling woefully inadequate, she looked at Lilly with tears starting to pool around her eyes.
Lilly out of reflex leant down and nuzzled the distraught filly before her, “What’s the matter?”
“I … I wanted to buy my mommy her favorite flowers, but I saw Dinky Doo with all those bits, and I can’t compete with that! How can I make my mommy feel special if I don’t have a lot of bits to spend on her?” Ruby cried.
“Oh Ruby, want to know a secret my mom shared with me when I was a little filly?” Lilly asked, to which Ruby nodded sadly.
“Now listen up, because someday you’ll get a special somepony when you’re bigger, and it’ll be the same advice. It doesn’t matter how much you spend, it’s the feeling behind the gift that matters. It doesn’t matter if you make something yourself, or you pay all the bits in the world. As long as you did it out of love, they’ll love it.” Lilly said patting Ruby’s head.
“Really?” Ruby hiccuped sadly.
“Yepperoni. Trust me I’ve been at this job for as long as I can remember, and even a single tiny flower can brighten a ponies day. So don’t worry about the bits, and get from the heart.” Lilly replied kindly.
“Okay, um how much for a tulip and a few baby breath’s for a bouquet?”
“Hmmm … Well I think I can part for those for … lets say twenty bits.”
“Thank you Lilly! You and your friends are the best flower ponies in all of Equestria!” Ruby shouted giving Lilly a tight hug around her foreleg.
“And thank you for the compliment. Your mother really is a good one isn’t she?”
“Ya-huh! She’s the best!” Ruby gushed as she dug out the bits. Lilly gave her a small vase filled with the requested flowers and Ruby placed them carefully in her saddle bag as she made her way to Sugar Cube Corner to raid some sweets.
Berry Punch had just finished her special blend of rare Everfree Forest herbs with an assortment of magical fruits she had locked away in the fridge. Smiling at the foresight of going to extra mile for a hyper-spatial statis unit. A hefty five hundred bits extra, but so worth it for all the things she collected and stored up for her special blends. This one, was a rather special drink she made for her precious gem. Even if it wasn’t alcoholic it was something that’d relax them, make everything brighter, and with a little kick to keep them awake until later that night.
Just as she finished the last touches she felt an uncomfortable itch on her forehead and moaned in annoyance as a horn sprouted out and blasted her punch with magic. When the spell died down the punch looked like it was made by Crystal Empire fruit, and giving in an experimental sip noted that only the appearance changed. She huffed and looked up at the protuberance and growled, "Listen here missy! I'm going to have a magical ... well magically confusing night with my daughter. But you, Flippy and Flappy aren't going to mess this up for me. You hear, not like my other dates."
Her horn sparked, and she said, "No! You don't back talk me you little pot sticker, you mess this up for me I'll drown you in tomato sauce again."
Seeing her horn stop sparking she mumbled, "What did I do to be born a freak like this? I mean most of the time I'm just an earth pony, but then you or the wings just pop out randomly. Sure it wouldn't be so bad if I could control it, but you guys seem to do as you please in the most uncomfortable situations ever. Although me turning all crystally that one time was pretty awesome. I wouldn't mind being a crystal earth pony, that'd be pretty sweet. But yeah, I still don't know what I'm going to do?"
Her horn let loose a sad hum, "I know its scary, that's why I'm worried. I mean should I have just said no? Would that be the right thing?"
Her horn answered by spraying out angry sparks, "Okay! Okay! I know I should give my little Sugar Booger Bear a chance. But ... you and the wings scared away the rest of my fillyfriends, what makes this one different?"
She was answered by a questioning sounding thrum as if the horn was wanting to ask a question, "You're right Miss Horny, I should just ask her. But yeah if it wouldn't be too much of a problem would you, you know, go back in? I don't want to ponies to talk anymore than they already do about you girls popping out randomly."
She felt an answering itch around her horn’s base as it shifted back, giving her the appearance of a regular earth pony. It was her disorder as she called it, just like Alula, Rainy Feather, and a few other fillies popping up around Ponyville, she randomly shifted species. Even once had Ms. Horny, Flippy and Flappy pop out at once. Thankfully nopony was there to judge her. But ponies like her were rare, and unlike now-in-days when she was a filly ages ago she was teased restlessly. Even ponies who thought it'd be neat freaked out when it happened. Just like Ruby's father, now that was mare. Or would've been if she hadn't bolted when her own horn popped out during sex and freaked her out.
Ponies like her were more rare than adult blank flanks, and she was annoyed that it was something she couldn’t control, although her daughter was in the same boat, and that was something she was glad that they shared together. Even if it was something that neither one talked about.
Ruby felt her pride and joy receding into her head again and her wings, Zippy and Dippy pop out. While her Cutie Mark once again shifted into one of the others she had, this one her lucky four leaf clover one. It was weird. One second she was a unicorn still feeling down in the dumps for not being able to get the most awesome thing ever. Then she spotted a necklace that would look so hot on her mother, on a sale for just the right amount of bits. The necklace itself was a nickel chain, with tiny braids of silver and gold, and in the center a decent sized Amethyst attached to an embroidered vine.
That feeling of being lucky, on top of the joy of being her mother’s special somepony caused her wings to pop out, like her mother used to say. It was one of the many things she loved about her, the fact that they both randomly became other ponies. Although it was something they never talked about, her mother always saying she was a boring earth pony, while Ruby identifying herself most days as a unicorn. Or in her mother’s words an Adoricorn.
The only reason Ruby never talked to her mother about it, and tried working to help each other was because she knew how sore a topic it was. But with them being fillyfriends, she could finally work on helping her mother control her changes and hopefully her mother would want to help her with her magics as the other races. Seeing as Berry Punch had more experience than she did, or at least that’s what she liked to believe.
With her wings buzzing with anticipation and feeling unbelievably lucky as she normally did when her horse shoe or four leaf clover Cutie Mark showed up. Over in the distance she saw a poster for a contest to win a free Hearts and Hooves Day basket and with a grin flapped her way to her next target.
Berry Punch was putting the final touches on the picnic basket when she heard a knock on the door. Opening it up, she saw her daughter under a large gift basket from Bargain Bins resting on her back, “Help! This is heavier than I thought it’d be.”
Lifting the basket she noticed her daughter’s lack of horn, and wings having taken their place, “Oh little fluffball, it happened to you too?” Berry asked.
Ruby nodded, “Ya-huh, I was feeling happy that I was lucky enough to find the perfect gift for you, and they popped out.”
Berry nuzzled Ruby, and knowing how uncomfortable wings could be on the back rubbed the new muscle clusters in between the wings. Ruby’s back arched and a guttural purr left her as the tension that had been building between Zippy and Dippy from balancing the basket eased up. Berry giggled at the catlike pur, “You really are adorable. I still think it’s a bit scary, but I love you and I’m going to enjoy being with you.”
Ruby looked at Berry with a hooded, sultry gaze, “Me too, and I’m really happy that we have this special gift in common. It makes me feel closer to you.”
“Well Love Nugget, in a few hours we’ll get started on our date-date, but until then let’s talk about your day so far.”
And so the awaited moment had finally arrived. The sun had set, and the moon had risen basking the world in its majestic glory. Berry looked up at how crystal clear and utterly amazing it was that night and privately thought it was Luna’s way of making Berry and Ruby’s special night all the more special. Berry looked at her daughter whose horn had come back just as they were about to leave for their date with a longing smile.
With an expert shake of her back, and kick of her hind legs. Berry slid the picnic basket off her back and had it sailing in the air towards her face. With a deft flick of her head, she lifted the blanket from the top of the basket and whipped it so that it settled on the ground perfectly as her forehoof reached up and gently guided the basket to the blanket.
Ruby was awestruck at Berry’s deft movements, “How did you learn to do that?”
Berry winked in a jokingly teasing way, “Lots of practice. Now how about we dig in?”
Ruby let out a little fillyish squeal of glee as she helped set up their meal. As the last bit of food was laid out, Berry flicked her tail over and held Ruby’s with it. As Ruby blushed Berry said, “I know I said that this was rule number one, but if there’s nopony to see us. Then it’ll be okay for me to do things to you that fillyfriends do with one another.”
Ruby scooted her plate next to her mothers as she snuggled into Berry’s warmth. Ruby nuzzled her and asked, “Not that I’ll ever complain, but what made you accept being my fillyfriend?”

Also just as the show has ponies who are one race, but randomly show up as different races, and even a few as alicorns. We [GJP and I] decided to break it down into two groups. Hidden Alicorns are basically so far only Fluer and Derps who were shown as one pony type, but are in a few instances shown as Alicorns. Then for the others we have named a genetic disorder called Nascentism. Basically it's when the recessive Alicorn gene's become active in a pony. Allowing them to be Nascent Alicorns, some just have access to different race's magic [Pinkie Pie's ability to do magic as an EP; Trixie's weather manipulation powers; etc] but others have even more awakened to them and involuntary shapeshift between races [depending on a variety of things], and with training, focus, and lots of practice can control the shifts. Eventually biologically reaching an inner harmony that ascends them to Hidden Alicorn status [even though most ponies know about it, but just ignore it and don't care since "They aren't really princesses, just really weird."
Basically if a show has a pony that has multiple body forms, they count as Nascent. And so far only Alula to my knowledge has gone from randomly shifting to at one point having an Alicorn body [funny enough her name means "Bastard Wing"]. Anywho, soon enough the two Nascents in this fic are going to be having fun. While this fic is nowhere near as big a ToFL. It's still imo going to be a cute little clopfic.
It had been a week since their first date. Since then Berry had been feeling closer and closer to Ruby, and it had been a marvelous feeling. “Sorry Tavs, I meant to say, we should be thanking these ponies, not being a stinky bag of horse apples,” Vinyl Scratch said sheepishly.
Berry Punch watched as Silver Spoon climbed on top of Octavia’s back as they trotted next to Twilight and others, “I’m Octavia, and these loves of my life are Vinyl Scratch and Silver Spoon. That tape of yours and your public example have inspired my loves. And have made us feel better knowing we weren’t alone.”
Berry Punch and her walked up next to Octavia. Giving her daughter a loving kiss, she pulled back and looked at Derpy, “You’ve made me and my Precious Gem feel less alone as well. We’ll be forever thankful Derpy.”
Soon more and more ponies joined the group and after a few minor verbal altercations with Mayor Mare, who Berry saw wasn’t liking her job at that point in time felt a pain of pity for her, they were rounded into the library where Twilight started to freak out. As she wrote up a storm to the Princesses in charge. Seeing as she was busy, she trotted up to Cheerilee and Spike, “Hey sis. Um … I don’t like feeling like dead weight. Can me and my little Sugar Bugger make nourishments for everypony?”
Cheerilee looked at Spike and who gave a nod before hopping off her back and leading them to the kitchen. Spike looked at them and gave a sigh, “Listen, what you two did was cool. I saw that you didn’t arrive until Octavia started moving forward, so I’m not annoyed like I am with the rest of them for not defending Dashie until Octavia did.
“What I guess I’m trying to say is … you and Ruby are pretty cool, and I didn’t know if I wanted to share my greatest treasure. But if her families as cool as you too are then I guess I could make us all a special something?” Spike said scuffing the floor with his foot nervously.
Berry chuckled and nuzzled him, bringing a blush to his face, “We can talk when our world isn’t in total chaos? How about next week?”
Spike nodded, and Berry said, “Cool Spiney, now where’s the stuff needed to make a good punch for our guests?”
With Spike’s guidance to where everything was at. Berry and Ruby set about to making enough punch for everypony. And as the hours rolled by, Berry and Ruby played hostess to the slightly crowded masses of ponies sat nervously to see where the executioner's axe as it were would land. It was even more hours later after Twilight got her reply and created duplicates to sign before ponies chose who they’d like to side with as their Alpha’s. Which Berry and Ruby waited until almost every pony had left.
Berry looked at Spike who had until a few minutes ago been her little server along with Ruby, who was now curled around her little love, both of them snoring contentedly into the punch bowl. That got her a group d’awww as she walked up to the Princesses, “Hey Princesses I have a question?”
“What is it Berry Punch?” Twilight asked looking motherly over her number one assistant curled around Ruby.
“Well Spike’s going to be in your herd, and Cheers is going to follow Spike. But do we have to do that? I mean what if we like all of you? Or can’t choose?”
“Hmmm … well this is mostly on paper, but I guess you could be transient with more than one. Just choose whom you would like to associate the most,” Twilight responded.
Berry felt a giddy happiness knowing she wasn’t going to lose Ruby, and Ms. Horny sprouted out in front of everypony left. Celestia and Luna cocked an eyebrow and Twilight tilted her head, “You have Nascentism?”
“Quite a few ponies in Ponyville do. Don’t know why it’s only here though, and before you ask, no I can’t control it yet. Although Rarity’s helped me learn how to use Ms. Horny here,” To which Ms. Horny grumbled irritatingly.
“Yeah, yeah, I know you don’t like behaving, now sush.”
“You talk to your horn still?”
“Rarity’s been trying to talk me out of it, but you know, decades of a bad habit with a finicky appendage and all that,” Berry sighed.
Twilight shrugged, and leaned in for a hug which Berry gladdy returned, “Well I’m sure we can help with that as well. Being in a semi-official transient status means we stand beside each other and protect one another. Just as you all did for me. So no matter who you choose. I guess welcome to the herd? And thank you so very much for everything. You and your little gem are good ponies.”
Berry blushed and with that checked all of the princesses in Ponyville, and Cadance whom she was at the wedding for. Picking up her daughter, she didn’t know what the future would hold. But she knew with the princesses beside them the future was about to be much brighter.

So this ends this side-continuity fic for Forbidden LoveVerse. I hope y'all liked it. I'm going to enjoy playing with those ponies in the show / wiki. That can't keep their species straight. But Berry and Ruby were my first, and my first attempt at writing Shifters in a clop. Not counting GEFO where the Lings there didn't really change species all that much other than their genitilia. But a true shifter that was fun, I especially loved writing Ms. Horny. She was a hoot. I actually think it's going to be a new fetish I'm going to enjoy using when and where it pops up.
Super amount of thanks to GJP who helped flesh out Nascents and the shifting bits as they are so far. Really cool person, I'm happy that GJP got me into doing these fics. I've felt this inspired in awhile. Next fic coming out is RichDiamonds, a Diamond Tiara and Filthy Rich fic.
