A Warriors Past

The sun was setting over the horizon. The burning oranges and pinks growing dimmer and dimmer, as Recless walked the path towards the town he saw. The filly still in his arms out cold from the trauma she had suffered. While walking he examined her more, taking note of her small wings, and purple mane and tail. Her coat reminded him of the current sunset, just a simple burning orange.

After some thought Recless had his plan sorted out. First he would get to a hospital for the tiny horse in his arms, or find its home. Then find a library or some place he could gather his needed information. He would need to use his abilities as a scholar to gather all the needed information, for it was the fastest way.

While walking he noticed he was next to an apple orchard, knowing that this was most likely someone's land he decided against taking an apple for himself. Turning back to the path he was suddenly greeted with something pink in his face.

"Hi!" He jumped back a bit unseating his sword and held the tiny horse in his left arm tightly. What he saw surprised him. It was another horse, the strange think being, this one was pink, only reaching the top of his leg in its hight. It then continue to speak to him." Hey are you new to ponyville, ooh shinny, why are you so big, I'm Pinkamena Diane Pie, but you can call me Pinkie, hey is that Scootaloo, what happened?" It was here he stopped listening as he had to take in the information that this "pony?" was talking to him, and that it knew the little orange one. Finding his resolve he finally stopped her.

"Excuse me." He started. " do you know this little one?" He asked, all he got as an answer was a big smile and a nod of her head.
" I we'll to answer you questions, yes I do believe I am new here, yes I know, and because this is as tall as my race gets, nice to meet you you, Pinkie was it? If that his her name then yes and she was chased by a wired pack of wolves. I jumped in to help her after she got her leg caught in a hole, it broke but I fixed it as best I could. Would you show me to the hospital please?" He asked after realizing that if this pony was intelligent and this was a pony town, then surely they have a hospital.

"Okie dokie." Then she gasped. " you saved Scootaloo? That means I have to throw you a ' welcome to Ponyville/equestrian think you for saving Scootaloo party' but your right we should get her to the hospital quick this way." She said running down the road. Letting out a heavy sigh he followed. Scootaloo still tucked in his arm.

" Over there is Bon Bons Sweets, and finally where I work the Sugercube Cornor. " she said. After pointing to each building as we past them. As annoyed as he was at her, he knew it would be best to know the lay out of the area. As they walked they came across a building with a large red cross on the front with a sign reading 'Ponyville General Hospital'. He looked towards Pinkie and said his thanks, afterwards with still a leeping filly in his arms, he walked inside. Entering the lobby he saw it was empty save for the pony sitting at the front desk. His heavy steps alerted the mare to his presence. A flash of surprise crossed her face.

"How c-can I h-help you s-sir?"With a little fear in her voice as she asked.

"Do not worry, I mean you no harm." Recless stated as calmly as he could, noticing the receptionist relax a little."I only require your assistance." As he motioned to his arms where Scootaloo rest. As the mare gasped he retold the story from earlier that day. She quickly understood and called for a nurse. They then took Scootaloo to a medical room for a small examination.when the doctor came out, he quickly made his way towards Recless so he could address him about the filly's health.

"Good evening I am Dr. Feel Good. The filly you brought in has nothing wrong with her, but from what you have told us I do believe thanks are in order. You helped save a life, we will notify her parents about the situation. If we can not we will contact you. Might I ask for you name sir?" Explained Dr. Feel Good, as he pulled up a board and a quill.

"Recless, Recless Tsuaishou." Recless answered. " if I might ask. Is there a library around here that I might could visit?" He asked slight worry in his voice.

" Hmmm, there is the Golden Oaks library located towards the center of town, but it might be closed this early especially with there being the Summer Sun Festival. You are welcome to try if you wish." Replied the doctor. After saying his thanks Recless walked out of the hospital, mentally promising himself to check back on Scootaloo after he gained more information on this land and found a head figure to speak with about him being in this world.

Making his way towards the library he noticed that the town was far more quiet than earlier. He also noted that it was still darker than it should have been if the clock back in the hospital was right. Making his way towards the center as the doctor suggested, he stopped. He looked around a bit and realized the doctor never told him which building the library was. Scanning the area he saw a fairly large tree, it seemed to have windows, a door, and a porch. Walking closer he saw the sign stating it was the building he needed. As he opened the door he saw a large group of ponies staring at him, one purple, one blue, one white, one yellow, one orange, and for the love of all, the annoying pink one, he met earlier.

"Uuumm, hi." He stated with really nothing more to say. Suddenly the pink one was up in his face.

"Recless, Hi!" Yelled pinkie in his ear.

This is Recless just getting familiar with the town and meeting the main six.

More will happen in the next chapter, and if you can't tell this takes place at the beginning of mlp.
