"Dead! DEAD! Where did you get to?" Twilight shouted as she frantically searched the house for any sign of the Necromancer. While earlier they had all been eager to go to Ponyville, Dead had to pack and get ready. Since then she had seemingly vanished from the house.

"Twilight! I am down here!" A voice came from under the rug in the hallway of the house. "Yeah, just saying goodbye to the collection."

"The collection?" Twilight called out. "May I come down?"

"Sure thing Twilight, just mind the drop." A white magic overtook the rug and pulled it away revealing a stairway that went down.

"How did we not fall down this?" Twilight quizzed. "Seriously, where is the floor?"

"MAGIC!" Was all that could be heard as Dead shouted back to Twilight. "Where is Rarity and Spike?"

"I'm here Dead!" Rarity called out. "Spike has gone back, I think he should be okay going back. He had a skeleton go with him." Rarity said sounding assured. The two ponies headed down the stairs and entered a large room that was made under the house. A variety of magic equipment and robes could be seen. "Wow, I knew you were a collector. But I never thought that there would be so much stuff."

"I am rather impressed with this collection of artifacts. You two! Come over here and check this out." Dead called out to the two that were in in the basement. After a few moments they found Dead and the large exhibit.

"What is that?" Twilight asked as she eyed a large collections of bones. The bones were numerous and contained in some magic status.

"Well you see Twilight, I have no clue. They are just some strange bones I found while bone-calling. I have never seen any bones like them and they don't match any known creature. But if you look closely you can make out some key bones." Dead said as she sorted the bones around.

"Oh yeah," Twilight said "Wait are those some sort of claws?" Twilight asked as Dead pull a hand out of the bones.

"I don't know but whatever it is, I have no clue on how to assemble them. But I do have a few theories." Dead said sounding defeated. "But check out this skull!" Dead pulled out a skull from the from the pile. "Its certainly not pony, dragon or griffon. It looks similar to that of a monkey except the bones don't match up. It looks like it would walk around on two legs!"

"I've seen ponies do that sometimes, its look strange when they do it." Rarity said sounding intrigued.

"Yeah, I know I once tried it myself... But check out the femur!" Dead brought out a large femur from the pile. "Whatever it was, it must have been at least the size of an adult stallion!"

"Wow, I don't know what to say." Twilight said eyeing up the femur. "I have seen any creature that bones are like this... So its a monkey or ape like creature that walks around on two legs? Wow..." Twilight said as she returned her gaze to the bone pile.

"Wait a moment, if I ever come back here I will try and figure out how this thing fits together! How could I not see it!" Dead shouted at herself! "Wow I'm so stupid some times..." The group then left the large basement and headed back upstairs.

While Rarity wasn't as interested in the magical aspect as much as Twilight she was more then amazed when Dead showed her a large collection of exotic silk. "And these Rarity, are the silks I was talking about. While you can't really make any magical armor with it, it still looks rather pleasing to the eye right?" Dead handed Rarity the soft fabric. Rarity relived Dead of it and brought the silk to eye level.

"Its perfect..." Rarity mumbled as she simmered the silk in the light. "How did you even get this?"

"I made it myself, over the years I have taught myself may skills. Fabric weaving and tailoring were just a few." Dead opened a small doorway in the bedroom and a large amount of various fabrics and silk tumbled out. "Sadly I never really found and inspiration for what I might make. Consider all of this your payment for making me a dress to wear."

"Oh no its fine, I would be more then happy to do it for free." Rarity insisted.

"No no no! It will not do, A few days ago I was flying you out of my property in the rib cage of a griffon!" Dead insisted even more then Rarity.

"Very well if you insist.." Rarity said, admitting defeat.

"Oh but I do Rarity! I would be more then happy to supply the necessary materials." Dead said happily. "I shall have them transported to your house once we arrive during the night, that way no pony will see the skeletons."

Twilight could see Rarity and Dead talking happily together. It was strange to think that Dead was a necromancer that could raise the dead. It was even stranger to think that she was more then capable of killing anypony, her happy attitude always shone through and at the best of times she only seemed mildly grumpy. But of course this was only because she considered Twilight and Rarity her friends. There was no telling how she would react to other and there was no telling how they would react to her.

As they finished packing Dead's supplies the group figured it would be a good idea for Dead to stay at Rarity's shop while she stayed in Ponyville. The group didn't plan on staying in Ponyville for too long however temporary accommodation would be needed.

With a happy bounce in their steps the group slowly made their way towards Ponyville.
