I can be happy, or so they say...

Dead was happily trotting through the park in Ponyville, ever since the whole Luna abducting her, and her summoning some skeletal ponies had given her a wide berth. The odd pony still came up and said hi, but it wasn't like Dead disliked the odd interaction. Dead had considered going to Twilight's library or Rarity's shop but in the end she figured she just needed some fresh air.

The small pond in the park was the perfect place for Dead to rest. It was a simple spell that caused water around her to freeze over. Dead walked into the center of of the pond and sat down. Despite all the ponies giving her strange looks she was able to meditate for a moment.

However a small group of foals that were charging around the park screaming a battle cry that caused Dead to loose concentration and fall into the pond. "Bah!" Dead groaned as she swam back to the shoreline before picking herself up and and. Dead huffed as she removed her mane from her eyes and quickly cast a heating spell to dry off. This was a mistake as her hair became frizzy and puffed up.

"Woah! Look at your hair!" Somepony shouted behind Dead, once again the voice was familiar however Dead could not put her hoof on it. Until the pony did a double back flip over Dead and landed in front of her.

"Oh hey Pinkie, yeah I fell in the pond and got soaking wet. I then tried to dry myself off and got mixed results." Dead sighed happily as she was glad to be with a pony with such a happy nature.

"Woooow... You must of really fell in! I mean so in that you came out! In China!"

"What's a China..?" Dead puzzled as Pinkie started bouncing around. "Never mind Pinkie..."

"Okie-dokey-lokie!" Pinkie sang out as she hopped around. "So! What'cha dooin?"

"Not much, I don't really have anything planned for today." Dead turned her gaze to the ground and shuffled a rock around.

"Oh well that's cool. Sayyyy if you don't have any plans, wanna help me at the store?" Pinkie asked as she continued to happily hop around.

"Uh, yeah sure. I don't see any harm in that... Just direct me to the poison and I'l have half the town out by sundown!" Dead joked as she let out a hearty laugh. "I was joking by the way... My humor is a little depressing..."

Pinkie just smiled largely at Dead, she started to bounce over to sugar cube corner and Dead slowly followed.

"Alright, do you need me to explain it again?" Pinkie sang as she took a fresh batch of muffins out of the oven.

"No, no! Singing that song three times was enough for me!" Dead nearly shouted before remembering that two young foals were asleep. Following Pinkies sing-song instructions to a T she bake a batch of muffins. Only burning down half the room when the oven jammed shut. "Woops..." Dead stared at the muffins, well the term muffins was out of the question. They were lumps of charcoal. "Maybe we can sell them to a blacksmith?"

Pinkie let out a sigh. "That's the fifth time this week... The blacksmith has enough charcoal as it is! I think maybe we should set up a contract..." She scoped up the 'muffins' and placed them in a bag with other 'muffins' in it. "Well I guess this bag is ready to be shipped out." Pinkie chuckled. "Soooo Dead. What'cha dooin?"

"I am... Leaving before I get implemented!" Dead quickly teleported out of the store. Unaware that Pinkie was with her Dead started to walk away. Only to be thrown to the ground by the pink earth pony. "Ahhhh!" Dead shouted as she fell down.

"What'cha dooin?" Pinkie asked as she sat on top of Dead.

"I am not eating dirt, if that's what you mean. Pinkie why are you sat on me." Dead asked as she sighed.

"Well... I overheard Twilight talking to Dash about it.." Pinkie said sheepishly.

"Go on..." Dead dreaded saying that.

"Well Rainbow said that it would be something fun to do, I didn't hear all of it but I got the gist of it. Or so I hope."

"So you decided to sit on my. Because you were eavesdropping Twilight talking with Rainbow. Pinkie. You are too random, if you don't mind... Could you hop off so I can started breathing properly?"

"Oh sure!" Pinkie said as she happily jumped off Dead and helped her get back up. "Anyway. You still haven't told me. What'cha dooin!" Pinkie said with a slight happy-angry tone.

"I am going to try and figure out something, care to help?" Dead reluctantly said.

"Ooooo a mystery!" Pinkie pulled a deerstalker hat out from her mane with a bubble pile. "You know Sherlock Hooves never wore a hat."

"Um no I didn't. Anyway I have a task which will fit you perfectly." Dead trawled her mind and attempted to think of a way to throw Pinkie off her tail. "You see I have this problem. Ponies seem to backing away from me a lot recently. I need you to undercover and find out why." An idea suddenly hit Dead. "Wait never mind."

"Awwww..." Pinkie sighed as she threw her cover off. The cover that Dead failed to notice appear and cover Pinkie.

"Pinkie! Your mission is to not accept this mission! Do you accept?" Dead said triumphantly.

"I..! I...I ummmm..." Pinkie was half in midair when she reversed back into her position. She placed a hoof on her chin and rubbed it, she mouthed the words. "I..." Pinkie stood still for a moment. "Give me a moment Dead. I will get back to you ASAP!"
