Dead in civilization

"Really Dead?" Rarity huffed as a sorry looking Dead sat on the sofa. "I expected better of you! You scared the poor mare half to death! What were you thinking?" Rarity stood with an angry stare at Dead.

"How was I supposed to know she wouldn't take it very well? Its not like she couldn't of tried to overpower me. And besides she left relatively happy, I mean she shook my hoof and all and smiled." Dead half sulked half pouted.

"I know, I shouldn't get so upset. But you really scared her. I just think it may of been a bit over the top." Rarity had calmed down a bit and was speaking moire calmly. "Well at least she found it funny, but if you had showed up at my house and done that..."

"I would have done it because I would never had met you!" Dead joked as she started to laugh. "Rarity, you know I would never do anything to hurt an innocent pony. Now its been said and done with no and/or little harm done." Dead said with a serious tone. "Speaking of which do you want anything done for your birthday? Rainbow was quiet interest in that so I figured might as well have the same offer for you."

"Oh.. Possibly... Explain to me why Rainbow wanted you to do that to her." Rarity questioned.

"Oh I am pretty sure it was because at the end I was trying to be seductive and was giving massages. However from the short time I have known Rainbow I am now well aware of her intentions." Dead happily sang before Rarity gave her a question that she was not sure how to answer.

"And that would be?"

"Well she want to... You know.... Erhm... Yeah that..." Dead shuffled around nervously as she spoke. "Yeah that thing that... Starts with and S and has two other letters..."

"You mean sex darling, I am pretty sure you are talking about sex." Rarity said bluntly.

"Yes, sex. That is what I trying to say." Dead shuffled around a bit more. "I am not new to the idea, I mean I have known it for like the few days I have been awake since coming back... Those books Twilight gave me to read scared me."

"Oh Dead, sex is nothing to be scared of. Its a perfectly normal thing that happens everyday." Rarity informed Dead as Dead kept shuffling on the sofa.

"Its just not something I have ever had... When you live with skeletons its not really something you can just do. And from what I read, sleeping with a skeleton is frowned upon."

"Yes its rather morbid, I can imagine why you have gone your life without it." Rarity looked over at Dead who was still shaking nervously. "And you didn't know what any of this meant until Twilight showed you those books?"

"No I had no idea, and I had no idea what Rainbow first meant, can you imagine that. If I had not gone to Twilight's house she would have..."

"Now, now. I know Rainbow may have been a bit forward but I doubt she would really go that far without letting you know what you were in for."

"Even then I would not have known what she meant by it. What do you think she would have done to me?" Dead froze up and looked at Rarity.

"Once again Dead, I don't think she would have done anything to you if you honestly weren't aware."

"You really think so?"

"Rainbow was never one for the clueless types." Rarity laughed and Dead joined in picking up on the joke. "I see you do have somewhat of a normal sense of humor."

"So it would seem Rarity, however I must ask. What kept you so long?" Dead had stop fidgeting and was now sat calmly.

"What do you mean?" Rarity asked, unaware of what Dead was on about.

"Well think about it, you were gone for like an hour. I and I can tell you this! Seduction was my last resort. I was running out of ideas!" Dead jumped up and did several strange gesture to try and explain to Rarity how long she was gone.

"Oh we got caught up with the CMC. Had to put out a few fires..." Rarity sighed. "Yes that took us a bit longer then we anticipated."

"CMC? Hmmm." Dead thought back to the battle cry that knocked her into the pond. "Yes, I know the young foals are talking about. They caused me to fall into the pond earlier."

"Oh goodness, I am so sorry! My little sister is part of the group. Sadly when they get out they cause havoc." Rarity said with a hint of a disappointed.

"Don't worry about it Rarity, oh..." Dead suddenly remembered something. "Never did get to finish that dress did you?"

"I did, but the Luna came and abducted you..."

"I see. That is a shame. But still thanks for making me a dress!" Dead said happily as she sat next to a rather disappointed Rarity. However once Dead sat next to her she noticed that Rarity seemed to perk up. It was funny how Dead had only just noticed this, she saw it when she knocked at the door, even though it was brief she was defiantly happy. "So Rarity how are you doing? I mean given that you went inside my dream."

"Oh that? It fine. I had a few nightmares but they stopped." Rarity looked at the floor and then glanced back up at Dead and gave her a friendly smile. "I'm glad you're awake, I was worried when we all woke up and then you started tossing and turning..."

"Sorry if I gave you a fright, I can't remember what exactly happened but..." Dead paused she noticed tat Rarity had a tear running down her face as she smiled at Dead. "Is something the matter?"

"No, I'm just happy you're awake. I never really noticed with all the commotion today..." Rarity looked deep into Dead's stone grey eyes. "I didn't really want to think of what might happen when you woke up."

"Well I'm here now and I don't plan on going anywhere!" Dead said happily as she tried to figure out what angle Rarity was playing at.
