A howling and chilling wind sweeps across the frozen wasteland as Kevin walked towards the bright lights of the Crystal Empire. However despite the killing chill, Kevin was barely effected. Sure he could feel the cold but it wasn't making him freeze to death. While pondering this Kevin did not see where he was stepping and tripped over something.

As Kevin groaned and got up from making love to the floor, he looked at what he tripped over. The offending object was a dead armored pegasus with the look of shock frozen on his face. He had stumbled onto what was a remains of a battlefield or at least that was what he thought, as he continued to walked though the icy graveyard, he could faintly hear the sound of clashing steel in the distance,

"Welp lets see how great these Titan of Ether stuff is, I don't want to become sashimi here, lets see.... fire?" said Kevin as he tried to summon fire in his hands, which resulted in nothing," Oh common, I need something useful here just in case you know, yesh if this was Shadowrun I would have pulled out a stun baton at the very least or maybe even a Ruger Thunderbolt.... why do my pockets feel heavy."

Kevin pulled out a the aforementioned Ruger Thunderbolt out from the space between spaces (or rather his pocket) as if it was nothing. The large cybered gun in his hand felt solid and heavy, though not unyielding as if it was made for his hand. Kevin broght it up to his face to get a closer look as if he couldn't believe his eyes.

"Seriously? I can't make fire but I can pull out something our a game? What next Link's Mirror she- I better stop that though right now just in case I do not want to log around a heavy GLASS shield like that though snow and this god damned blizzard. Well this gun will have to do, I wounder what my powers are in a sense."

Kevin continued to walk towards the Crystal Empire and unfortunately closer to the sounds of Battle which seemed to grow larger and larger as if a siege is going on right now and lo and behold it was. An fort which is the Crystal Empire's forward military base was being sieged by a mixture of forces, each sporting a diffident banner and fighting among themselves as well. Kevin slowed down his pace and creeped along the side of the battle hoping not to get spotted by any of the armies, a little to late as a unicorn officer spotted him and charged at him, yelling incomprehensibility. Kevin aimed at the charging unicorn and let off a shot from the Ruger Thunderbolt with its trademark thundering sound as the APDS round exited the barrel and though the head of the unicorn. Kevin shocked at what he had done didn't have time to completely comprehend what he had done when an earth pony wearing the uniform of the Crystal Empire grabbed him by the arm and started pulling him a side, the mare was yelling something at him but he couldn't hear what she was saying until he heard the cry of pain when an arrow pieced though her leg.

Snapping out of it, Kevin steeled his nerves and picked up the mare and continued walking, with arrows and magic bolts flying though the air and missing him. Some of the pegesus rangers could have sworn that the arrows were curving out of the way as it flew to the unknown creature. When a Unicorn dressed in the Crystal Empire armor and a medic's insignia can and releaved him of his charge Kevin turned to the warring tribes and clapped his hands together, suing the first though that came to his mind to stop the three different factions from breaking though this fort and to scare them away from this battle. Fortunately the first though as to how he would do it came from how the Full Metal Alchemist would deal with it. Slamming his hands into the the ground, the snow transformed into ice and created a wall in front of the fort, cutting into the many siege engines and towers. Then doing the same action again he created two more walls though the three warring tribes. The warring tribes back off and ran as they could not take the fort without their siege engines but also could not engage such an overpowered creature.

Pleased with his work, Kevin dusted his hands and promptly fainted.

Kevin woke up in a place that didn't quite match with the frozen battlefield, for one it was warm and very very crystalline, in fact it was way to crystalline to be real, so Kevin got up from where he was laying which was a soft bed with heavy blankets for cold nights. Nearby he saw a wisp of pink hair disappear as the door closed. Curious, Kevin got off the bed and walked towards the ruby door. However before he could reach the door, it opened to reveal a noble looking unicorn.

"Greeting my dear fellow, I am King Sombra and welcome to the Crystal Empire!" he said with gusto," So how are you, I was told you had accomplished a rather amazing feat some time ago, is your affinity to ice by any chance? Ah forgive me, I've been told I an really ramble own a lot when I get going, so what is your name?"

"Er... I'm Kevin, I'm from a planet Earth an-"

"Yes yes I know all about that already, My Discord came by and informed me and the rest of my staff that you would be arriving, while reanimating my breakfast. Really why did he turn my buttered toast- ahem sorry was rambling again. Anyway, your a new Titan of Ether and granted a very powerful one due to the location of your world."

"What do you mean by a very powerful one? I though all Titan of Ether are powerful in their own right? and what does that have to do with my world?"

"Ah forgive me, maybe you can help me clarify though, this particular world has never had a visitor from your world or anything that passes though your world. When you ascended did you see, other worlds?"

"Yeah a lot, some of which was considered just fiction."

"INDEED! Fascinating isn't it? One of this days I really have to go there myself but building a Black Gate is the most- ahem, sorry when I am really excited I tend to go far of track. Anyway think the multiverse within the void is like er.. let's see what is a good anthology, AH yes, a train station."

"A train station?"

"Yes, now please don't interrupt, anyway your world is the central train station where many being just hope to and off on the way to many other places, so a lot of worlds connect to and from your world while the only place this connects to is your Earth and some place called Gallifrey which has been sealed off for some time. And don't get me started with the various diff rent versions of Equestria as well oh dear lord the amount of different Sombras' I have to communicate on a weekly basis..."

"Er is there multiple version of-"

"Oh no no no, your Earth is one of the few exception that doesn't have multiple versions of itself, since it is a HUB world after all, sure in theory there are many worlds that are actually called Earth bu- good damn rambling I really should get on with it."

Kevin sat down on the bed with the utmost amusement on his face, here he was sitting next to a mythical creature who was a great intellectual but let his mind and mouth carry him away like any normal intellectual back home, animal form be damned, and wondered if horses and other animals back home could talk, could a few be like him as well.

"Now I would assume your affinity is to ice correct?" asked Sombra in an attempt to get things back on track, meanwhile a maid brought in some tea and snacks, along with the cutest little peguses foal on her back. The foal was had a dark blue coat with a lighter blue main and was sleeping, however it awoke when she smelled the cookies the maid had just uncovered.

"Oh don't mind little Luna here, I'm her guardian for the time being."

"Er... right, well I can't say what my affinity is as so far what I have done doesn't make sense," said Kevin as the maid gave Luna a cookie and walked out of the room," First thing I did was to materialize a weapon from a game I like and the second thing I did was the power and style from fictional material... which I suspect isn't so much fiction now that I think about it, after all I SAW those worlds while I was-"

"AH so my theory is correct. Well since your world is a HUB world of all things, then perhaps you have the power to draw on the power of each of those worlds? Well then how about bring forth something from those worlds for your pre-use? I would suggest something or someone that can work as an assistant for both your stay here and as well as when you return back to your world?"

So far Kevin was letting Sombra say everything he needed to get out of the way but at this Kevin HAD to say something," So your asking me to simple abduct some poor sob just to me my assistant? Are you NUTS?!"

"Forgive me, I just only realize how insensitive that sounded, (*mumble* Maybe Queen Umbra was right, I really need to take a few lesson in tact) ANYWAY! Well lets try something simple, I would assume for the sake of simplicity you only take or create something that can be mass produced unless you really need it."

Kevin nodded as he focused on something from another world, although rather hungry, and summoned a chocolate frog from the Harry Potter series, unfortunatly without it's wrapping so it immediately jumped out of his hand and made its break for freedom out the balcony.

"That was.... interesting. So animate chocolate isn't from your world?"

"Yeah it isn't sorry I just got hungry I guess."

"If thats the case lets have some tea, and if you would like later you can join me and the rest of my staff for dinner."

"....that would be nice actually," answered Kevin after a pause but that idea was tossed out the window as the high pitch scream cut their conversation short.

**Meanwhile**

"Really Tia," said Soft Touch, a unicorn," You snuck into the guest quarters just to see what that thing was? Your Lucky that the guards didn't tell his Highness of your foolishness."

Soft Touch was one of the few young ladies within Sombra's court with her farther being one of the most well known and most xenophobic of all of Sombra's generals. Celestia rolled her eyes and fluutered her wings as Soft Touch continued to 'scold' her for being currious.

"But Softy," said Lemon Drop, an earth pony, another of the young ladies," He went and saved Amber's mother didn't he? I'm sure that deserves just a peek from Tia."

"Yeah and a peek it was my friend, for as luck would have it, by the time I got enough courage to take a peek, he woke up."

"Rotten shame there," said Siren Song, one of the younger peguses guards who often joined the three during her break," Personally I wouldn't say no to a role in the hay with something that can just chase all three of those bastards and all of their siege weapons to boot."

"SIREN SONG!" shouted Soft Touch," We are ladies and we would prefer if you didn't use such crude language!"

"She mean the royal we by the way," said Celestia with a giggle," She still has the dream of one day getting hitched to Uncle Sombra."

The two ladies and one guard teased and giggled at the expense of their friend by after awhile like it always was, Soft Touch was also teasing and joking with the rest... until a slightly melted chocolate frog decided to finally land on its soft landing spot. The mane of poor Soft Touch.

A millisecond latter, the strange creature Sombra was being a host to, landed next to her as if it was nothing.

"Is everyone ok? Whats going on?"

"GET IT OUT GET IT OUT GET IT OUT!"

"Hang on Softy," said Tia," I'll remove the offending things, whatever it is!"

"Oh no you don't I don't want my mane to be set on fire again!"

"That was just one time! And I was trying to dry your mane faster!"

"Er... you girls can stop panicking," said Siren Song as she held offending object," It seems its just a animated chocolate frog."

"Yeah kinda my fault there, sorry. It leap for freedom... say how far did it fall anyway? I just realized I jumped from the balcony when I heard the scream."

"About thirty floors," said Lemon Drop non-chilantly as she drank in Kevin's appearance.

"Yes and teleporting which I believe you can learn to do eventually," said Sombra as he appeared," IS much much faster."

"YOUR MAGESTY! (*mumble* oh this is the worst possible time, I'll have my revenge for this whatever you are mark my words) what a please surprise for you to drop in!"

"Hum? Oh yes Lady Soft Touch pleased to meet you as well. Oh Celestia! I hope your settling in well?"

"Yes Uncle Sombra, in fact since we are all here and I'm rather curious about the food where this fine sir is from, could we have our tea here?"

"What a great idea! Kevin why don't you summon a few more things? Just to get a hang of things?"

"Tia, I''ll get you for this," whispered Soft Touch as Kevin started to concentration and materialize numerous types of food and such from his reality and from the Harry Potter series (within vegetarian reasoning of course).

"Oh hush and enjoy," whispered Celestia," Besides this might be your chance here."

From that point on, Soft Touch started to try her luck....

....And where she failed utmost horribly because she got so nervous and fed Sombra a earwax flavored Bertie Bott's Every Flavour Beans by mistake thinking it was toffee flavoured..

"There there Softy," reassured Celestia as she and Lemon Drop carried her back to her estate," It was an honest mistak and Kevin did say it had EVERY flavour."

"IT WAS THE FATE WHICH DECIDED THAT IT WASN"T MEANT TO BE!" sobbed Soft Touch," Why else would it have been teh Earwax flavoured one!"

"At least you didn't eat the rotten eggs flavoured one like Song did. That poor bush, it did harm to no one."

"Now is not the time Lemon."

"Yeah yeah."

"Do you think she will be alright there Sombra? I mean the poor mare seems to be completely out of it."

"Oh she will be fine, it was just a rather bland tasting bean after all. Anyway shall we move more onto pressing matters?"

"Er like what?"

"Your EDUCATION! After all once I send you back you will be in charge of your worlds magic and ether after all. Let's see now what should be good reading materiel. Ah here you go," said Sombra as he dropped a very heavy and thick book titled, 'How to manage your world's magic By Rinoa Leonhart The Unabridged version'," Now I would like for you to read at the very least the first twenty or so chapters before we continue on tomorrow morning and believe me its an excellent read if I do say so myself. Lady Rinoa was excellent during my time of study I..." trailed of Sombra as all Kevin could do was groan.

Author's Note

Well that's it for now folks! I like to think this Sombra and one of those teachers that just get overexcited when talking about their favorite subject but we'll see how he plays out. As for now I will distract thee from the war being waged as we all can focus more on Tia X human (?) and well as how Sombra holds his court in these trying times. I wanted to make it even longer but sometimes the flow needs it to be shorter you know? Also How many reference can ya spot eh? More Virtual Cookies all around lol.

Also do you THINK Kevin would need an assistant from another world? Or would you rather him BRAVE everything on his own? there is after all no such thing as useless criticism after all!

Here is this chapter's titbit: Back when the original universe, I was writing was the New Life for an Old Golem story, or as I prefer to mention it as the Monster Bestiary universe, I was thinking of Pathfinder's Monster Bestiary as a way to help choose my protagonist and perhaps my antagonist as well. It was then I scrapped it for the Changlings and the Hive of Queen Razorback, a more militaristic and generally more armored hive of Changlings. However choosing the protagonist wasn't easy as I had to figure out how to make the main six interact with him and find him.

The Idea eventually landed on Rarity and Spike finding a gem powered Golem during their excavations. While this went off well eventually I hit the biggest problem that made me discontinue the story as I could not write any of the main six, as at the time I was trying to be as CANON as I could possibly be. In the end I though I could not write for it any longer until I though to change the main premise into A Pathfinder Adventure.
