     Vinyl found the office and entered into the door. She took a few steps and was greeted by a friendly mare.

"Good afternoon," said the mare.

"Thanks. You too," Vinyl replied.

"What can I do for you, Miss?"

"I needed to buy a large spot of land here in Mane-hattan. I've had my eye on it for a while."

"Okay, Just tell me the one you would like to have."

"I believe it was the largest one on the out-skirts of the city."

The mare at the desk got wide-eyed. "The 5-mile by 5-mile square?"

"Yes, I believe that's the one."

"All right. Let me go get the manager."

"Yep. Take your time," Vinyl said as she slouched into a chair and put on her headphones.

     About 10-15 minutes later, a stallion with a name tag that bore the name 'manager' walked out to Vinyl. Vinyl turned off her music.

"Miss-uh-," the manager started.

"Vinyl. Vinyl scratch," Vinyl replied.

"Well, Miss Scratch, I understand that you would like to buy our largest available spot of land?"

"Yes, sir."

"Well if so that's fine. Just come to the back and we'll fill out the necessary paperwork."

"Lead the way!"

     After paperwork that seemed to be the size of a phone-book was filled out, Vinyl had her hoof on a new spot of land, and lost another 250,00 bits.

"Thanks, again," Vinyl told the manager

"Pleasure doing business with you, Miss Scratch," He replied.

     Vinyl went walking along the streets trying to find her next destination. the Colt Construction Company. She was trotting down to the place marked on the map. After a while she finally reached her location she needed to be. She walked into the office and saw a mare working at her computer behind a desk.

"Hi there," the mare said.

"Hello," Vinyl replied. I'm going to need something built. Something big."

"Okie-dokie. let me ring up the manager. He might be busy, so you'll probably have to wait."

"Tell him to take his time. I've got all day," Vinyl said, and put her head-phones on, and sat down.

     A few minutes later the manager came out of the back of the building.

"Hello, Miss," he said to her.

"Hello, sir!"

"So from what I understand, you want us to make a large structure for you?"

"Yes. And I have the blueprints right here." Vinyl produced the blueprints from her saddle-bag and gave it to the manager. As he inspected the blueprints, his eyes practically turned into dollar signs.

"This I'll take lots of money... About 750,000 bits..."

"Do we need paperwork?"

"Lots..."

"Well then, what are we waiting for!"

"Let's go to the back, Miss... Paperwork awaits us."

     "Pleasure doing business with you," said the manager, shaking hooves with Vinyl. "In 6-8 months, you'll have your base finished."

"Wonderful! See you then."

     Now that that was out of the way, Vinyl needed something to do while her base was being made. She saw a poster. The Mane-hattan fair was coming up soon. Perhaps she could put up a recruiting booth?

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
     Vinyl was there, at the recruiting booth about 1 month later. She had high-hopes for the day. Her little table in one of the buildings had everything from info books, posters, and more. She just didn't have the heart to tell any-pony that they were all digitally created images.
     Her heart sank, however, with each passerby who didn't even so much as look at her table. A stallion walked up to her, noticing the depressed expression on her face, he said, "Bad day, huh?"
"Yeah..," Vinyl replied.
"Well, may I take one of these info-booklets here?"
"Always! And take more for your friends if you want."
"Sure thing. I'll be thinking about it. I'll be here tomorrow, so I should have an answer then."
"Okay, see you then!"
"You too," the stallion replied as he levitated the booklet in his magic field and started to walk a little ways.
     Vinyl was happy. Really happy. Some-pony actually was interested in the Dubstep Order. Yes! Vinyl's spirits rose, exited for the recent development. Not too long after this, a black pegasus with a dark-green mane and eyes came up to the table.
"Uh-What positions do you have open?"
"Soldier, strategic adviser, scientist, technician, personal assistant. To the head of the Dubstep Order, and... that's it for now. I'll have more position applications tomorrow."
"Oh -uh- I think I'd like the -uh- personal assistant."
Vinyl went searching for the application, however she couldn't find it. "Rats," Vinyl thought to herself. "I knew I was forgetting something!"
"Uh- Are you okay?"
"Well It appears that I have forgotten to print the application."
"Oh -uh- well, okay. I can wait until tomorrow when it's printed out if you want."
"Well...actually, I think it'd be fine if you got the job. there's only one application for it, any-hay. And I'd just like to say," Vinyl stuck out a hoof, "I'm Vinyl. Head of the Dubstep Order."
"Oh -uh- well nice to meet you. Uh- ma'am.," the pegasus replied, shaking Vinyl's hoof.
"Well as the personal assistant, you will be living with me. In about 5-8 months. I'll send you a letter when the 'application' has processed."
"Oh. Well -uh- I'll see you then. Here is my address. See you then."
"Yup you ,too."
     Just as the Black pegasus flew off, Vinyl caught a glimpse of a green flame on the pegasus' flank. Vinyl looked at the card. "Huh," Vinyl said to herself. "Green-Fire. What a nice name!"
