Duel 2: The Proper Way (Part 1)

Toni was speechless, he didn't know what they would think of him. They could think he's a monster, an invader, someone trying to attack their school. Toni cheeks were flushed red.

"Uh... hi!" The unicorn pouted in a rather squeaky voice. Toni hesitated even moving.

"Uh... hi." He said a nervous wreck. He didn't know what to do. Does he take off? Does he hide? What to do? What to do!?

"Hey, you're a duelist!" The pegasus said watching my duel disk with a gleam in her eye.

"Uh... yeah. I always come down here and watch duels just to see them." Toni said less nervous that they didn't think of him as a monster.

"Oh oh oh! Did you see me win!?" The pegasus said leaning in slightly. Toni felt uneasy.

"Yeah, and I now that I can tell you, you aren't using your dragon the right way." Toni said as if to make a point.

"What?" Her spunk calmed down.

"Well, you don't just use them for power. You do if you need to, but not at the very start." Toni said.

She just smirked. "Alright," She lifted her duel disk. "Care to show me?"

Toni blinked twice. He hadn't had any real duels with ponies before, but it could be-

"Hey, no fair!" Said the yellow pony. "Ya just dueled Diamond Tiara!" She had a light but strong southern accent.

"Hey, what about me!" The unicorn asked. "I haven't dueled anypony in a week.

While the three argued over who should duel me, Toni sighed. Then, he got an idea.

"Wait a minute girls!"

They didn't stop.

"Girls."

Still, they didn't stop.

"GIRLS!"

They stood speechless, waiting to hear Toni talk.

"I have an idea. Since you all want to duel, why not make it one-on-three?"

The three silently thought about that recommendation. They then went into a group chat. Whispering back and forward, and even stopping to take a peek at what Toni was doing. Then they all shouted, "CUTIE MARK CRUSADER DUEL MASTERS, YAY!"

The sound rung through Toni's ears as all he heard was ringing. He was brought back to his senses when the sound of an activation was heard, followed by two more. He looked up to find all three ready to duel. They were up for the challenge. Toni flipped a switch on his disk, watching as the panels on both sides collided and made 5 card slots. He looked up from his disk to spy the three young ponies looking through their cards in hand.

"You girls ready?"

"As ever!"

"DUEL!"

Turn one: Toni: 4000 LP ???: 12000 LP

"Since I'm handicapped here, I'll make the first move. I draw!" Toni said as a card perfectly slid from his deck to his hand. He eyed the card he drew slowly. "I summon Shield Wing in defence mode!" Toni said before placing a card side ways on the disk. A blue circle appeared next to him allowing a monster to slide right through. It quickly turned blue and made a motion to protect itself, putting its wings in front of it. The monster had 900 DEF points. "I set two cards face down and end my turn."

Turn 2: Toni: 4000 LP ???: 12000 LP

"Ah'll take the next move! Draw!" She slid the card from the top of her deck, she looked at it and smirked. "Ah summon Twin-sword Marauder in attack mode!" She said before placing a monster down on her disk. A blue circle allowed a monster with three swords on each claw to pass through. "Since Ah can't attack, Ah'll end there." She said before passing the torch to the pegasus.

Turn 3: Toni: 4000 LP ???: 12000 LP

"Then, it's my turn! Draw!" She shouted before pulling her next card. "I summon Genex Controller in attack mode!" She said, again a monster appeared the the circle. The monster had 1400 ATK points. "I'll show you how to use synchro monsters. I tune level 3 Genex Controller with Apple Bloom's Twin-sword Marauder!" She said raising her hoof. Above her a blast of light appeared. "I synchro summon Power Tool Dragon!" She said before the sane Dragon from before appeared out of the blast. The monster had 2300 ATK points.

"Woohoo! Go Scootaloo!" The unicorn said.

"I will now activate his effect, once per turn, I can get a little bonus card." She slid a card out from the middle of her deck. "Now I play, Big Bang Shot!" She said before the dragon got a sharp stone instead of a screwdriver. "Now, when he attacks your defence monster, you take the difference between his now 2700 ATK points and your 900 DEF points. Now go my dragon! Attack!" The Dragon lunged in to attack Toni's Shield Wing.

"Now let me stop you there. I play a trap, Dust Tornado! This card allows me to destroy a spell or trap card on the field. I pick Big Bang Shot." He watched as a giant tornado ran past and destroyed the spell card on the field.

"No! But when Big Bang Shot is destroyed then..."

"That's right! Your dragon is removed from play!" Toni shouted with a smirk of his own. "The dragon's card disappeared into nothingness as Scootaloo cringed at such a big turn around. "I set one card face down and end my turn." She said angry.

Turn 4: Toni: 4000 LP Apple Bloom/Scootaloo/???: 12000 LP

"So, ya pretty much just threw mah card away." Apple Bloom said annoyed.

"Sorry!" Scootaloo said in response.

"My turn. I draw!" She slid a card out from the top of her deck and placed it in her hand. "And I summon Sunlight Unicorn in attack mode." A blue circle allowed a white unicorn with a light blue fire mane to pass through. The monster had 1800 ATK points. "Next I'll attack your Shield Wing! Go Sunlight Unicorn!" The unicorn gave a mighty neigh and charged right at Shield Wing. It rammed its horn right into Shield Wing, but nothing happened. "What?!" The unicorn shouted.

"Up to twice per battle phase, my Shield Wing can't be destroyed in battle." Toni said with a smirk.

"I set one card face down and end my turn."

Turn 5: Toni: 4000 LP Apple Bloom/Scootaloo/???: 12000 LP

"My turn!" Toni slid the card off the top with ease. Just what I wanted. He thought. "I play Double Summon. Now I can summon twice this turn. First, I summon Gyroid, and then Nitro Synchron!" Two monsters appeared through a blue circle. Gyroid had 1000 DEF points, and Nitro Synchron had 300 ATK points. "Now I'll show you how it's done! I tune my level 3 Gyroid and my level 2 Shield Wing, with my level 2 Nitro Synchron!"
