Fallen

Making his way to the café Kronos began to wonder what Lyra's parents were gonna talk about with him and if he could get both of them to like him. Sighing he turned the corner to see Lyra and her parents sitting at the table eating some fruit, pastries and drinking orange juice walking up he said "Morning Mr. and Mrs. Heartstrings."

"Good morning Kronos."

"Morning."

Sighing Kronos stretched and sat down next to Lyra giving her a peck on the cheek smiling she went back to eating her grapefruit looking down at the fruit Kronos thought 'Why do they call this thing a grapefruit ? it doesn't even look like a grape.' picking up an apple Kronos took a small bite out of it and began to chew it thoughtfully "So Kronos what is it you do ?"

"Do I mostly study under Queen Lumina and study for school."

"Nothing else ?" Mr. Heartstrings asked cocking an eyebrow and looking at Kronos smiling Kronos said "Yes sir not much room left in my life right now with all that's on my plate."

"So what plans do you have for the future ?"

"Hmmm I think I want to be a reporter."

"A reporter ?"

"Yeah and not those bullshit ones who stalk celebrities I mean the ones who travel the world, learn new cultures and learn about the world."

"That does sound nice Kronos." Ms. Heartstrings said smiling at the young man Kronos nodded back as he took another bite behind them someone made a scoffing sound turning Kronos saw a man who stood an inch smaller than Kronos he had five o'clock shadow and short black hair his eyes were a light grey. Lyra seemed to freeze up when she heard the scoff "So Lyra this is your boyfriend he seems kinda small..." the man said his voice was filled with arrogance smiling Kronos said "Hello who are you ?"

"Pffft like you don't know who I am."

"I don't I never really cared for politics or other peoples lives but my own.........well till now." Kronos said looking to Lyra scoffing the man moved beside Lyra standing over he snarled at Kronos "My name is Onyx my father is General Obsidian."

"Ahhhh so nice to meet you." Kronos said rolling his eyes internally motioning to the seat next to Mr. Heartstrings Kronos said "So why don't you take a seat since you clearly are here to stay."

"Why thank you but I came here for one reason."

"Okay well I'm here with Kronos so if its anything to do with me you can forget it." Lyra growled scooting closer to Kronos to get away from Onyx who had tried to place his hand on Lyras shoulder growling he said "What does this peasant have that I cant give you Lyra !"

"Well for one he is kind but if I were to go off of power which my dad is clearly trying to go off of Kronos could wipe the floor with you easily."

"HA like that he could do that that peasant looks like he could barely lift a pebble with his magic." Onyx laughed Mrs. Heartstrings looked between the youth noticing how Kronos hadn't gotten angry with Onyx she was about to tell him to stop when Kronos stood up calmly saying "Well if you can wipe the floor with me SO easily lets have a small duel tomorrow."

"PFFFT are you joking as I said earlier I could beat the snot out of you with how little magic you have !" Onyx said Kronos felt anger well up inside him the gym that was underneath his shirt began to pulse and he heard what sounded like crashing waves then a voice snarl "SHOW HIM." then as soon as the voice and pulses came they left smiling Kronos said "Why I didn't know the son of the great general Obsidian was scared of a little duel." crossing his arms Kronos looked at his handy work as Onyx's face became purple with anger magic began to leak from his body cracking the ground staring Kronos down he snarled "Fine at high noon tomorrow." and with that said Onyx stormed off sitting back down Kronos apologized for his behavior smiling Mr. Heartstrings said "I know we live in a age where fighting over women is overrated but the only reason I wished my daughter to marry that brat was for his magical strength and family name yes, BUT Kronos if you beat him I think I will like you."

"Like me enough so I could call you by your first name."

"No I think that will take a while before you can do that but I do have this to say if you hurt he-" Mr. Heartstrings said pointing to Lyra who was slightly blushing or angry "-I will personally tear you limb from limb." seeing the look in his eyes Kronos nodded his head so fast he thought that he was gonna snap his own neck.

(Later that day)

After walking around the town Lyra and Kronos were sitting in the park under a massive oak tree sighing Kronos turned to look at Lyra who had a content smile on her face as she stared up at the clouds. Lyra had her finger intertwined with Kronos's wiggle them around every so often to get some of the feeling back in them coughing slightly Kronos said "I apologize Lyra I bet you hate me right now."

"Your right I do sorta hate you for turning me into some meat prize."

"Ly-"

"But I know for a fact that you won't treat me like a piece of meet and If you do you'll regret it."

"Ha if the one thing my mother taught me is to treat someone you love like a regular person, next a princess, then a Greek goddess, and then back as a regular person."

"Haha that sounds so cliché !"

"Oh yeah it was but she could be right."

"So what else did she teach you like the main things you find important."

"Well if I want to start a herd I need permission from my girlfriend-"

"Only girls that we both like not just ones you like."

"Uh......Okay, and if I do start a herd keep it around three or four girls."

"Why three or four ?"

"Well she told me to pick numbers I feel are close to me and well three is the month she found me and four is the she adopted me in that month."

"So you won't ever betray those numbers ?" Lyra asked turning to look at Kronos turning to look at her he smiled and nodded while saying "Not even if a supermodel came and Begged to be part of it."

"Ha I bet every guy says that."

"True but I made a promise to her."

"Oh and what was it ?"

"That I would never break any promise that I made her." Kronos said reaching up for the gem that hung around his neck gripping it in his fist he continued "That I would always keep a promise especially those to girls."

"Hmm so will you keep this promise ?"

"Oh and what promise is that ?" Kronos asked noticing Lyra leaning in closer smiling she kissed him on lips deep and full of passion pulling away she whispered "Never give up on me or whoever you come to love."

"Yeah I can defiantly keep that promise." Kronos said smiling reaching out he wrapped his right arm around Lyra and brought her closer to him feeling her warmth in the crisp autumn air.

(Next day)

Walking through the archway Kronos stepped onto a field of grass the arena had chosen this as the spot for him and Onyx to have their duel looking around Kronos noticed how wide spread the field was. It was an experimental type of arena that the school was testing and Kronos got permission from Lumina to use it for today as a test run for later trials, noticing Onyx take the field the two heard her majesties voice around them "Are the two combatants ready ?"

"Yeah."

"Yes ma'am." Kronos said getting ready for the fight getting load and charging his magic he began to tremble with excitement about the fight the one thing that Kronos had learned was he enjoyed fight "Then BEGIN !" as soon as the word was said Onyx leaped forward slamming his fist into Kronos face 'So strong !' Kronos thought as he was sent skipping across ground into a lone tree 'Of course I slam into the tree.' Kronos thought pushing himself up he felt a presence behind him rolling to the left he saw a fist flash past him and slam into the base of the tree snapping it like a twig spinning around Kronos summoned a weighted chain and swung it into Onyx catching him in the eye sending his head snapping back.

Looking to his right Onyx smiled standing up straight he stretched neck popping some vertebrae smiling he swung his fist down into the ground. Kronos felt a tremendous pressure slam into his gut sending him flying upwards into the sky coughing up some blood he landed on the ground a few yards away with the air knocked out of his lungs Kronos began to gasp for air desperately looking back at Onyx he noticed a solid black cylinder sticking out of the ground. Forcing himself to stand up Kronos heard a voice growl "ARE YOU GOING TO LET THIS WELP WIN SON OF NYX ?"

'Who are you ?"

"I WILL ONLY REVEAL THAT IF YOU CAN BEAT THIS WELP BOY."

'Oh I will but I'll need your help."

"I'M YOUR COMRADE SON OF NYX YOU DO NOT NEED TO ASK." the voice said as Kronos felt a massive amount of power rush into him smiling he began to let the magic take form large ethereal began to form and his eyes began to glow a deep purple. Pushing his fist toward Onyx Kronos opened the fist deep purple and black spheres began to form around his hand pulsing once they shot forward connecting and forming into a massive net wrapping around Onyx he began to yell "You think this can hold me-"

Onyx was cut off by a black arrow jutting out of his chest laughter began to echo around them appearing between them holding a bow a little girl continued to giggle turning to look at Kronos she said "Shall we continue this fight ?"
