( week later)

Walking through the town Kronos and Marissa had finished shopping and getting ready for the return of Kronos's friends and room mates from the thanksgiving break sighing he rolled his shoulders and popped his neck. Looking at her friend Marissa said "So hows the training going ?"

"Pretty good my magic strength increase quite a bit and I have better control of how much energy I absorb from my surroundings."

"That's good to here so what are your friends like ?"

"Hmmmm they're good people kinda strange but if you need help with anything they got your back."

"Really ?"

"Oh yeah so they'll be here in another hour or so lets get back to the house and get this stuff put up." Kronos said turning to look at Marissa who nodded slightly she had her hair pulled back into a pony tail and wore a silver t-shirt and a gold skirt smiling Kronos and her began to make their way back to the house.

Walking up to the house Kronos unlocked and opened the door with his magic waling inside he heard a set of voices coming from the kitchen charging up some of his magic he turned to Marissa and whispered "Shhh some ones in the house." slowly making his way to the kitchen rounding the corner he saw Sunset and Twilight cooking something in the kitchen sighing he let the magic dissipate coughing loudly Kronos grabbed the two girls attention turning to look at him Kronos noticed that they were wearing light grey sundresses smiling Twilight said "Hey Kronos we got here early so we thought that we should cook tonight !"

"Uh thanks sounds good but you should make room for another person."

"Why ?" Sunset asked picking up a few eggs in her magic and cracking them into a bowl before starting to stir with her magic looking at Kronos she noticed the small women behind him staying close to him smiling he said "Well this is Marissa and as of today she'll be living with us for now."

"Oh well we've known about her Celestia sent us a letter explaining the situation we thought you brought another person with you besides Marissa." Twilight said turning away from the two and preparing a bowl of spaghetti without turning around she said "Oh Lyra should be getting back soon why don't you go pick her up Kronos ?"

"Sounds like a plan let me just put these groceries away then i'll go out and pick her up." Kronos said walking over to the cupboard and using his magic began to put away the food looking and seeing the Sunset said "Seems you have better control then when we first saw you."

"Oh yeah Lumina has been hammering control and other lessons about my magic into my head." Kronos said as the last groceries were put into the cupboard moving to the door he began to make his way to the station. Smiling Marissa turned and said "Its very nice to meet you two I hope we can become really good friends."

"We will now could we ask you something ?" Sunset said turning away from the chicken and parmesan Marissa nodded smiling "So what do you think of Kronos ?"

(Station)

Standing at the station Kronos saw the train pulling in smiling to himself he thought about the few months of him being and how he got to know Lyra and for some reason after she left he couldn't really get her off his mind. Kronos hadn't seen Crystal either for the week sighing he remembered how close those two had gotten in the time Kronos and her had "enrolled" watching as the train pulled in as the doors opened Kronos waited for Lyra to get off. It took around 7 minutes but she walked off the train wearing a long sleeved white shirt and tight fitting jeans and converse smiling her gold eyes locked onto his running forward she hugged him close and whispered "Thanks for being here and sorry about this." slightly confused Kronos then felt something warm on his lips and saw Lyras eyes closed pulling away she said "Honey thanks for picking me up from the station."

"So Lyra honey this is your boyfriend ?" Kronos heard a gruff voice said looking up Kronos saw a gruff looking man and a elegant women beside him. The man stood a head taller than Kronos he wore a dark grey suit with a white dress shirt he was clean shaven with his dark green hair was combed back, the women walked forward smiling she wore a mint green sundress her long silver hair went down to the middle of her back she stood a little taller than Lyra. Holding out her hand the women said "My name his Melody Heartstrings and this is my husband Silver Heartstrings." reaching out his hand Kronos gently shook her hand and said "Its an honor to meet you ma'am my name is Kronos."

"No last name ?" Melody said cocking her head slightly chuckling Kronos said "NO i'm and orphan and well my adoptive mother offered and I said 'I see no point in a last name but maybe one day.' so until what I want a last name I'm just Kronos."

"Such an odd way of thinking don't you agree honey ?" she said turning to her husband looking down at he said "Yes now Lyra you said Kronos is a mage like you ?"

"Yes daddy and strong to he beat Shining Armor in combat no help !" Lyra said turning to her father and holding his arm staying close to him looking down Kronos saw something in Lyra's eyes something he couldn't really place. Chuckling Kronos used is left hand to rub the back of his head and said in a sheepish tone "Really Lyra you told them that story ?"

"Of course it was the coolest thing ever !"

"I guess but we should probably get you back to the dorms." Kronos said turning he smiled to the parents of his 'girlfriend' nodding Melody said "How about we continue this talk tomorrow with some brunch ?"

"Sounds good Mrs. Heartstrings."

(Dorms night)

Sitting in Kronos's room Lyra had just finished explaining what had happened "So basically your step father wants you to marry some asshole ?"

"Well when you say it like that you make it sound so simple ?"

"Can't you say no ?"

"I wish I could but its complicated me and my mom owe him and he love us but-"

"You feel like you owe him ?"

"Yes but the guy he wants me to marry is a noble who is what you said an asshole when he was supposed to meet for our date he didn't show and went back home he ended up calling saying I ditched him."

"So your pretending to date me ?"

"Well-"

"As much as I would like to 'date' you I am dating you."

"Huh ?"

"Look I was gonna ask you out when you got back."

"Your joking why would you want to ask me out ?" Lyra said walking forward Kronos lifted her chin up smiling Kronos said "Lyra we've been hanging for months and well just recently I wanted to ask you out."

"Really ?"

"Nooooo I'm lying to you." Kronos said in a very sing song voice grunting Lyra pushed him away before giggling and then saying "So what now ?"

"Well tomorrow we have to meet your parents for brunch."

"So we have to go get some sleep ?"

"Yes we do now good night Lyra." Kronos said picking up his now girlfriend he moved her off his bed and began to get comfortable while saying "But I never said you had to leave." smiling Lyra used her magic to put on her pajamas and slid beside Kronos wrapping her arms around him and he wrapped his right arm around her.
