(Flashback)Danny was sitting on a bench as a tall 8th grader shoot some hoops,one of his shoot's missed the net and bounced of the back board hitting Danny off the head and knocking him over.  "Holy shit, are you okay?" the eight-grader asked running toward Danny. Danny got up and rubbed his head, "yeah I'm fine." Danny said causally as if they were discussing today's weather. But the eight grade kid frowned at him, he was Dark-skinned, had a buzz cut, a beefy body, blue eye's, and a scull T-shirt. "Still, even if your okay i got to make it up to you, how about a game of one-on-one? Names Michael Stewrt by the way," he said holding his hand to Danny who was sitting on the floor right next to the bench from where he fell. Danny paused and stared into Michael's blue eye's in shock. this was the first kid who actually wanted to be his friend! Danny took Michael's hand and pulled him-self up. Michael threw him the Basket ball " serve" He told Danny, Danny smiled and threw it back.  (End flash back)**

Sunlight shone in day's face, Shit, it's morning already? Danny thought groggily as he rose from his bed and fell on his face, " What the-?" he exclaimed forgetting about the entire ordeal that happened just yesterday, the entire ordeal came back to him and brought a smile on his face.Finally free! free of my scummy parent's! He realized something, he didn't have a tooth brush! Shit he thoughtmaybe twilight has a spare one or something- wait I got magic! I'll just make one! he thought, He concentrated on a red tooth-brush and tooth-paste and ... poof! They popped into existence. Well, that's extremely convenient he thought as he ferociously brushed his teeth, he wanted to get into the sky as soon as possible, he wanted feel the thrill of flying a hundred miles per hour, he wanted the sheer joy of being able to escape it all. He raced outside giving a quick "good morning"  to Twilight as he passed her on the way out of the tree-house.

  Danny beat his wing's as fast as he could shooting through the air at super-speed.The wind whistling in his ear's and rushing through his mane, his heart was beating faster than ever before this is bloody amazing! he thought ans he flew straight through several clouds. He felt free in the sky. Like their was a large weight on his back for so long he hadn't even noticed it until it was removed! It wasn't so much as a physical thing but a mental thing, he  always felt like he was pinned down by hardships and responsibility. He had to take care of his brother Andrew he had to study for the exams he had to make sure he could get enough food and water to survive (his parent's didn't care either way.)

Danny noticed a griffon flying near him at about the same speed as him the griffon's head was dark grey, with grey eye lids , a tear drop shaped grey mark over his eye, it's body ( past the top of the chest) was a silvery grey, with dark grey wing's and a silvery lion tail tipped with dark grey hair. The griffon looked at him, smirked and flew faster. Danny speed up to and caught up to him.( the griffon seemed like a male) They were neck and neck when the griffon singled a time-out, they flew to a large cloud nearby and rested, panting heavily the griffin turned to Danny, " Dang man, your good! By the way what's your name?" he said in-a-not-so-deep-voice which caught Danny of guard.

       "Name's Danny, Danny Stone. what your's?" The griffin turned to stare at him,

               "D-Danny? what you doing here bro?" he asked in a much warmer, friendly, and strangely familiar voice. Danny stared at him,

   " bro? what are you-?" The griffin cut him off excitedly,

  " it's me, Michael Stewrt!"

   Danny's jaw dropped, " M-Michael? What are you doing here? why did you leave without telling me?" He asked in an excited and rushed voice he hadn't used in years.

"It's a really long story bro, get comfy 'cause were going too be here a long time before i finish my story." Then Michael explained that he was playing basketball alone one night , when a strange bearded unicorn approached him ("whoa, seriously dude? the same happened with me!) and asked him if he wanted a second chance to restart his life. ( "dude, the same thing happened to both of us?") Michael told the pajama wearing unicorn that he did, ( "and it opened a portal and I went through.") then he awoke in the ever free forest as a  Griffon and joined a bunch of griffin's who were just making their way home to the Griffin empire. then he had got his six-year's of training, ("yup, six bloody year's') he was right at the part's just before them meeting when their was a flash of Rainbow color, then Rainbow Dash appeared.

"Danny! what the hell are you doing? you were supposed to meet us at flutter shy's house  three hours ago! The other were getting really worried -and you were sitting here the whole time?!" she asked in a very fast and very annoyingly superior tone that downright pissed Danny off. Danny opened his mouth to make an angry retort but Michael cut him off.

"Alright if he was supposed to be their three hours ago what are we doing here bickering? let's get over their!" he said beating his wing's and taking off. he was soon followed by Danny and Rainbow Dash, who was admonishing Danny about being late the whole way. And it was clearly taking Danny all of his power to stop from punching Rainbow Dash in the face. Micheal couldn't blame him he was feeling a little pissed off to, but not as much as Danny, wait, why? why am I not as angry as Danny? She just our meeting after, like, three years! Micheal thought puzzled. He shook his head, It doesn't really matter does it?. Micheal bit back a groan, why was his life so weird?

They arrived at a small cottage which looked like it it was home to Snow white or something out of a Disney movie. "God damn this stupid horses and their obsession with bright color!" he muttered under his breath as they approached the cottage, " what? did they copy and paste this from snow white?"

Micheal heard and began to laugh loudly, falling out the sky as he gaffed on. Twilight frowned, " what? what is it, why are you laughing?" she asked.

"Nothing." Danny muttered giving a side-way's glare at Micheal who shrugged sheepishly.
