SEVEN MINUTES AGO....

Chief Officer Trail Breeze. A noble guard in service to the lone monarch Luna, and his squad of seven has stormed a bank under control by Gryphic Terrorists. Hostages have already been either executed or released. Only 2 have been released, they were a foal and a mother.
The Equestrians and Griffons had always owned a strenuous relationship with each other. Over various religious beliefs, practices and past grievances. The peace was only kept though Princess Celestia, but years past has she left the nation on a crusade to keep the sun alight with fire. She never returned, and neither did a her army. Of course, it was all a legend. A story. Though no one really knows what happened to goddess, but since the sun is up she is somewhere. Alive and well. But in her absence the Knight King Ebonlight of Griffonstone decided that, since Equestria was now a weak nation-state, he could expand his borders. Funding terrorists to weaken us was part of the plan too..
But Trail believed him to be wrong. A patriot he was, Equestria would never fall to the Iron Fist.
The squad had infiltrated through the sewer system, able to sneak through and gain access to the building without a hitch. All that remained was to eliminate the gryphic terrorists inside.
"Sir, Target sighted." One guard says, spotting a lone patrol.
"Take that bastard out." Trail Breeze orders. The guard nodded, taking aim carefully.
With the tick of a second, the Griffon is dropped without hesitation.
"Shit!" Is heard, but the guards knew it wasn't their own. Trails eyes widened in realization.
"He wasn't alone! Chase after that asshole!" Trail Breeze orders as he spots another Griffons shadow. He took off down the corridor, leading to parts unknown. The guards knew all too well if they let him get away their operation was compromised.
The guards chased him down some corridors, passing doors, offices and even the vault while going as fast as they legs could take them. They never had time to be able to fire a bolt into his back, but were able to keep him in sight. When the griffon disappeared at the end of one corridor they came into a large room but were completely surprised as one guard was taken down immediately by a crossbow bolt. Blood spurting out of the wound in his neck.
"Dammit! Take cover, take cover!" One guard yells.
Trail Breeze, overturning a desk. ducks and tries to find his sword, which he dropped when the projectiles started flying. Satisfied that he could not find it, he looks to the fallen guard in an attempt to spot his dogtags but quickly realizes that it was one of the few mares in the Royal Guard. He hears a thud and looks to the source. Another mare, she moves her hooves, trying to crawl towards Trail Breeze. As soon as he could reach her, Trail Breeze grabs her and yanks behind the desk. A bolt grazing her hide as she moved. She smiled meekly as her eyes shifted to her commander, blood running down her forehead.
She was a pretty mare in Trails eyes. Orange eyes, blue coat. But the wound she sustained pierced her helmet. Only a musket could do that. And only a trained professional could help her.
"Thank you.... s-sir." She mutters forlornly.
"Hold your goddessdamn breath.. your gonna be find." Trail Breeze says, he glances for the medic. His eyes landing on him, who is hiding behind a statue.
He flinched as the wood chipped next to him. A pellet flying through and hitting the wall ahead.
"Medic! I need you over here!" Trail Breeze shouts! He gains the medics attention and he dashes from cover. Intent on saving a life and not considering the risks for himself, but his bravado was rewarded only with an arrow in the neck. He fell over, dead. His gasps were quick and faded fast. His medicinal pouch lie beside him, which Trail spots.
"Shit!" Trail curses. Dammit, OK wait here!." Trail Breeze ordered, remembering the adequate training he had medical application.
With the same bravado, Trail Breeze rushes out of cover. Arrows, pellets, bolts and magic flying around him. As he approached the body, a sharp pain hits his back. But he ignores it and yanks up the pouch, turning and making a go for his choice of cover. But another paint strikes him, this time in the leg. He trips on the pain and upon examination, he discovers he has been hit with two bolts.
"The Officer is down!" He heared.
Trail Breeze watched helplessly as his own blood encircled him, a bolt has pierced his hardened leather jack and pierced his back and his leg. Few guards noticed, however, as their own problems surpassed his. Those who had noticed has tried to assist but leaving the cover resulted in either being killed, or wounding....
