A Sister's Jealousy

"The trial will now commence. The case of Rainbow Dash vs. Scootaloo will now begin."

The double doors in the back of the courtroom open, showing an orange and purple maned pony with shackles around her hooves. She's wearing prison stripes and is walking down the path that leads into the court floor. While she walks down the path, she looks around and finds Rainbow Dash in the front staring daggers at the pony. The pony in stripes looked away and started to shed a few tears, but stifled them so that she doesn't show weakness.

When she got to the floor, she sat down on the side where the defense is. She turned to her right and spotted the prosecutor. Prime Time she thought. She would know that face anywhere.

Prime Time was a pony that was all about sports. He was one of the best sports announcers in Equestria, but then retired and became a prosecutor. He still has an obsession on sports. He's even wearing his soccer pin on his left cuff. This is his very first case, but he seems very confident. The pony in the defendant's chair looked in the crowd for Rainbow Dash. While looking around, the crowd started murmuring about how smug Prime Time looks. She eventually finds Rainbow Dash and she's staring daggers at her, and she turns back around to face the judge.

"Is the defense rea-" the judge said. "Wait, where is the defense?"

"I am the defense, Your Honor," the pony said. "I was told that I have the option of being my own defense."

"Yes, Ms. Scootaloo. I almost forgot, your papers said that you wouldn't be needing a lawyer for this." the judge looked over to the prosecution. "Is the prosecution ready?"

"The prosecution is ready, Your Honor." Prime Time said.

"Your opening statement, please." the judge asked.

"Since yesterday, a certain pony named Rainbow Dash, heard one gunshot fire coming from the Everfree Forest while taking a flying stroll around Ponyville. While hearing the shot, she flew quickly towards the scene and found Scootaloo holding a gun in her hoof and saw a pool that had blood flowing around the surface of the water. All evidence found at the crime scene all seems to point to Scootaloo being the killer. There was also a bloody knife found there. We still don't know why the knife was there, but we still believe that the knife was used to attack the pony in the pool. And there was a bullet found in the victim's chest."

"How does the defendant plead?" the judge asked Scootaloo.

She turned to look at Rainbow Dash and started to shed some tears on her orange coat, then turns back to the judge. "I plead guilty, Your Honor."

"Prime, you may bring up your witness." the judge said.

"Your Honor." Scootaloo said, nearly getting out of her seat. "I wish to confess."

The judge just stared at the pony and repeated her question. "You wish to confess?" The crowd started murmuring again and Scootaloo could make out some of the words they were saying.

"Could it be true? Her sister killed her friends?"

"Why did she do all of this? What drove her to murder them?"

"She's guilty! There's so much evidence on her! She's the murderer!"

*bang, bang, bang*

"Order! Order in the court!" the judge said loudly so that everypony in the room could hear him. "Ms. Scootaloo, I will grant you permission to testify about your crimes that you wish to confess to."

"Thank you, Your Honor." Scootaloo said. She got out of her seat and walked to the witness stand, which lied next to the judge.
