“Wake up!”
Sonic slowly opened his eyes to find himself inside some kind of library surrounded by stacks of books and papers. All around were shelves that seemed to be part of the crystal walls. Looking past the books, Sonic could see two staircases. One leading up and the other down. There were circular windows closed by drapes but there was still light via ceiling lights and candles. And what really stood out: The texture and colors of....everything in the world! It looked simple and colorful. Almost as if it was some animated cartoon…
“Uh...E-Excuse me mister...whatever-you-are?”
Sonic turned to see a lavender unicorn/pegasus horse creature with large, purple, adorable eyes, violet hair and tail with a magenta streak, and a weird star symbol on the flank. “Oh you’re awake! My name is Twilight Sparkle. I am glad to meet you. Do you understand?” the creature asked, making gestures with its hooves as it spoke.
Sonic nodded. “Erm...No need for charades. I know what you’re saying. First off, I’m Sonic! Sonic the Hedgehog! And second, You’re….a horse. A talking horse. Actually you’re a talking...Pegacorn...thing,” he assumed.
Twilight frowned. “1. It’s Pony, not horse. 2. It’s Alicorn, not...whatever you just said. And 3. Why don’t you start by telling me what the hay you REALLY are! I’ve seen plenty of hedgehogs here in Equestria and I know that they aren’t blue, can’t talk, and don’t look like...you,” she said.
Sonic frowned as well. “Well that was really polite! Trust me. I’m 100% hedgehog. I’m just not from around here...apparently,” he said.
Twilight’s eyes grew big. “You mean...you’re from another world? That explains why you look so different, especially with those...appendages on your arms. What are those things anyway? And why don’t they match the color of your arms?” she asked.
Sonic looked at his gloved hand. “This is a finger and this is a hand,” he said, pointing to said appendage when naming it. “It’s what the people on my world use to move stuff around. And they don’t match my arms because I have gloves on. Don’t ask me why I wear them. I just like em!” he answered, turning back to the lavender alicorn who was taking notes. “Were you even listening? And how the heck are you making that float?” he asked.
Twilight nodded. “All this information about you and your world is so intriguing, I just HAVE TO write this down! And unlike you, I move stuff around by using the magic from my horn. All unicorns do this,” she answered.
Sonic gave an unsure nod. “Erm...right. How about we save all this for later and get back to more important things. Like telling me where we are and where Tails is,” he said.
Twilight set the quill, ink, and paper down and nodded. “Certainly! Right now, you’re in my castle/library/home which is located in Ponyville, Equestria and I have no idea who or where this “Tails” is. Is he your friend? Were you two the ones that came in on the aircraft a few hours ago?” she asked.
Sonic nodded. “Yeah. And I believe that aircraft is the Tornado, AKA Tails’ plane,” he said.
Twilight raised an eyebrow. “What’s a “plane?” she asked.
Sonic frowned. “ Nevermind. I’m outta here!” he said, running towards the exit.
Twilight ran after him. “Wait! Where are you going?” she asked.
Sonic turned back, not slowing down. “To find Tails and figure out exactly where we are!” he exclaimed before sprinting out into Ponyville, leaving Twilight Sparkle in amazement.
Meanwhile in the outskirts, in a small cottage, Tails awoke to find small woodland animals all around him. They scurried and hid when the two-tailed fox sat up to look around. It looked like any normal cottage interior with a small couch, rug, fireplace, etc. except for all the animal homes such as birdhouses, mouseholes, pet beds, perches, and some fishbowls.
Tails looked around for any signs of non-woodland critter life. “Hello? Anyone here?” he asked.
No answer.
Tails got to his feet and began to explore the cottage until the front door slowly opened to reveal a cream-colored pegasus pony with a long drooping light-pink mane and tail entering, only to gasp and quickly exit, slamming the door shut.
Tails stepped back a bit from surprise. “Woah! What was that about?” he asked.
A soft and timid female voice could be heard coming from the other side of the door. “I don’t know if you’re friendly or not, or if you can eve...wait. I understood that! But you don’t look like an animal...and you definitely aren't a pony. Y-You’re not going to hurt me...are you?” the pony asked.
Tails smiled. “Of course not. To be honest...I have no idea where I am, what is going on here, and why everything looks so...different,” he explained.
The pony slowly opened the door and entered. “Um...wh-what’s your n-name?” she asked.
“I’m Miles Prower but everyone just calls me Tails. Pleased to meet you,” Tails greeted.
Fluttershy smiled. “Hi Tails. I’m Fluttershy. I-It’s nice to meet you too. So...what are you...if you don’t mind me asking,” she said.
“Well first off, I’m obviously not from this world...whatever this world is. And second, I’m a fox with two tails hence my name being Tails. And just to avoid any further questions, I do walk on two legs and these things on my arms are called hands. They’re what I use to move stuff around. Did I miss anything?” he asked.
Fluttershy was in awe. “Um...Well there’s so much I want to ask you but I wouldn’t want to waste your time…” she said.
Tails nodded. “How about we switch places and you answer my questions?” he asked.
Fluttershy nodded back. “Sure. What do you want to know?” she asked.
“Where am I? What’s going on? And do you know what happened to my friend, Sonic?” Tails asked.
“Well, right now, you’re inside my cottage outside of Ponyville. It’s one of the many places in Equestria. A few hours ago I found you unconscious in the park next to the meteor crater and another creature that looked kinda like you. Only he was taller and spikier and blue. Is that the “Sonic” you’re talking about?” she asked.
Tails smiled and nodded. “That’s him! Do you know where he is?”
Fluttershy shook her head. “I went back for him but he was gone. I thought that maybe one of my friends found him and took him back to their place so I went out and asked them. I went to check on my friend, Twilight Sparkle, to see if she knew anything but she was gone. And the weird thing was that the front of her castle/house/library had odd footprints and they were really hot to touch,” she recalled.
Tails nodded. “Then Sonic should be here any second. Right about...now!” he pointed towards the open door and just as expected, Sonic screeched to a halt.
Twilight came shortly after, panting with exhaustion. “How...are you...so fast?! If I recall...I think you made it to Transonic!!”
Sonic chuckled. “As long as I’m here, you should get used to that,” he said before noticing his friend. “Tails! There you are! You ok?” he asked.
Tails nodded. “I’m fine. I see you’ve given Ponyville the Sonic touch,” he said.
Sonic smiled. “You know it! Though I might want to go back and apologize...All those food vendors in the market won’t be too happy…” he sweatdropped.
Twilight chuckled. “Glad to see you two are reunited. Now how about we introduce you to the rest of our friends, then you can tell us everything about you and your world. Especially how you two ended up here! Maybe we can help you somehow!” she suggested.
Fluttershy nodded. “And you could learn a thing or two about us!” she added.
Tails smiled. “Sounds great! And we could use the extra help to get us back home,” he said.
Sonic nodded. “Back into town it is! Just tell us where we’re headed and I’ll lead the way!”
Twilight grinned. “Actually we’ll see what’s faster. My magic or your speed. To Sweet Apple Acres. Go!” the lavender unicorn quickly cast her teleportation spell and Sonic peeled out with his trademark figure 8 technique, instantly creating a sonic boom.
On the way to Sweet Apple Acres, Sonic was suddenly intercepted by an unlikely team of flyers. “What the??” he exclaimed before quick-stepping out of the way to avoid being dive-bombed by a white pegasus with a blue mane. “Hey watch it!!” he warned.
“You heard the royal sisters’ orders! Take him out!” ordered a fiery colored pegasus.
Sonic went wide-eyed. “Wait what?!” he exclaimed before jumping to avoid a team swoop. “I’m not the bad guy here! You got it all wrong!” he assured.
The trio of pegasi weren’t convinced. “Be quiet and hold still! With speed like that, we’re not taking any chances against a foreign threat! Wonderbolts, formation!” shouted the fiery pegasus.
Sonic frowned. “Do you REALLY want me to go all out on you?” he questioned.
“He’s gonna strike! Tactical Strike time!” the fiery pegasus commanded.
The Wonderbolts dove in for a hit but all missed thanks to Sonic’s double jump!
Sonic growled. “Alright! You asked for it!” he exclaimed before curling up, bouncing into the air, and homing attacking the three pegasi in quick succession.
The Wonderbolts stalled for a few seconds before shaking off the impact and aiming for Sonic again, this time screaming towards him in formation.
The blue blur easily quick-stepped out of the way before ramming into them with a powerful boost.
The pegasi shook it off and went in for one last group strike, this time with a boost of their own!
Sonic kicked it into high gear to try and outrun them but this time they were successful in hitting their target! The blue hedgehog flew backwards, bouncing off the ground a few times before face planting it in a cloud of dust and dirt.
The Wonderbolts landed and looked towards the thick cloud, waiting for it to clear.
Sonic shot through the cloud curled up in a high speed spinning ball before homing attacking the Wonderbolts several times and finishing it off by spindashing into them like a bowling ball.
The three pegasi groaned in pain, some coughing up a few teeth. They fell to the ground in defeat.
Sonic grinned. “Let this be a lesson for you. And you tell those royal sisters of yours to stop being so judgemental. Now if you’ll excuse me, I gotta go meet up with some new friends. Better luck next time guys,” he said before peeling out towards Sweet Apple Acres.

At Sweet Apple Acres, Tails, Twilight, and her friends were all waiting for Sonic.
Fluttershy, of course, began to worry. “M-maybe he got lost, or hurt, or worse! I think we should go look for him!” she suggested.
Tails chuckled. “I wouldn’t worry about him. I’m sure he’ll be here any second.”
And so it was said as the blue hedgehog arrived in a heartbeat. “Whew! Sorry I’m late. Some team of pegasi who call themselves the Wonderbolts had me fighting back there but they were no match for me,” he said.
A light-blue pegasus with a rainbow mane and tail zipped over to Sonic. “YOU FOUGHT AND BEAT THE WONDERBOLTS?! Why I oughtta!” she exclaimed, about to charge at the blue hedgehog before being held in place by Twilight’s magic. “HEY! Easy Rainbow Dash! I’m sure it was all just a big misunderstanding, right Sonic?” she asked.
Sonic crossed his arms and tapped his foot impatiently. “I guess so. This isn’t the first time I’ve been mistaken as a bad guy…” he said.
Twilight just stared. “Erm...ok then. Anyways, Now that everypony’s here, Lets get to the introductions. My name is Twilight Sparkle but other ponies refer to me as Princess Twilight. These are my friends, Fluttershy, Applejack, Rarity, Pinkie Pie, and Rainbow Dash,” she introduced, pointing to each pony upon saying their name.
Sonic nodded and smiled. “Hey there! I’m Sonic, Sonic the Hedgehog!”
“And I’m Miles Prower but please, call me Tails,” the two-tailed fox said.
“Well it’s a pleasure to meet you! Those red...boots? Or maybe shoes, by the way, look smashing on you, Sonic!” commented the purple and swirly mained white unicorn. “Ooh! Are those buckles real gold??”
Sonic chuckled. “Absolutely! Me and these bad boys have been through a lot,” he said.
“Yer friend, Tails, told us a lot about you and how many times you saved the world. That’s just better than cider season! But one question: Who in tarnation is this “Dr. Eggman” guy you keep fightin’ with?” asked the blonde haired orange earth pony with a brown cowboy hat.
Sonic grinned. “Oh, Egghead. I still remember the first time kicked his evil butt. He’s a mad scientist who wanted take over my home turf, South Island. He captured all of my critter friends and stuffed them into robotic badniks as a source of energy for them. Luckily he missed one: Me.”
A young Sonic the Hedgehog blasted through the loops, twists, and turns of Green Hill Zone, destroying badniks and freeing his friends as he went. But it wasn’t just Green Hill. It was the whole island that had been attacked by an evil man and Sonic was on a mission: to save his friends, destroy all the robots, and take back South Island from the evil tyrant.
Sonic screeched to a halt, looking up and seeing a capsule-shaped aircraft descend as an evil laugh could be heard. In the cockpit was the mad scientist, Dr. Ivo Robotnik, glaring down at the blue hedgehog.
“Hahahaha! So you’re the little rodent that’s been destroying my badnik army? Big mistake my friend. Prepare to flattened!” Robotnik said before pressing a button on the control panel of his mobile. The bottom opened up and lowered a huge wrecking ball on a chain attached to the vehicle which began to swing back and forth
Sonic frowned before rushing forward and jumping onto a floating grassy platform. He then curled into a ball and jumped up to successfully strike Robotnik.
The man exclaimed before growling. “So you’re a bit tougher than I expected! That won’t stop me from getting rid of you!” he threatened before swinging the ball at Sonic.
The blue hedgehog dove out of the way and curled up once more, this time charging a spindash.
Robotnik saw the chance to strike him. He piloted the mobile forward and swung the ball at Sonic.
But right before it would make contact, Sonic released and rolled towards a half-loop. He launched off upside down before slamming into the mobile, causing the chain to break and the mobile to explode! The blue hedgehog landed on the ground and watched the smoke clear.
Robotnik coughed before glowering at Sonic. “You are no ordinary hedgehog...but heed my words. I will destroy you and I WILL win. Even if I have to try and try again. You’ve won this time hedgehog, but the next time we meet, you won’t be so lucky!” he shouted before piloting his mobile away.
Sonic stood there, thinking about what the doctor had said. If Robotnik won’t give up then neither will the blue blur. His friends needed him after all. Sonic grinned before running after Dr. Robotnik.
The 6 girls stood there, amazed. “D-did you do it? You freed all your friends, right?” asked a shaken Fluttershy.
Sonic chuckled. “What kind of hero would I be if I didn’t?”
Rainbow Dash beamed. “You are SO AWESOME!!” she exclaimed.
“Awesome times a kabillion thousand!!” added the pink pony with a frizzy pink mane and tail.
“And...done!” Tails said.
Sonic and the ponies turned to look. “Done what?” they asked.
“Since we’re in a different world, I thought I’d modify my handheld to receive geographic data. Now I’ve got a full map of this place and some other cool stuff,” Tails explained.
Applejack tilted her head. “You did what now?” she asked.
Sonic smiled. “Tails is a bit of a genus,” he said.
Twilight nodded. “I think I understand. Tails changed some stuff on that contraption of his to look at our world. Now he can see the different places in Equestria like Ponyville and Canterlot on it,” she explained.
Tails nodded back. “Exactly.”
“Hey Twilight, shouldn’t you be sending a letter to the princess about Sonic and Tails? I think the Wonderbolts were ordered to take Sonic out by Princess Celestia,” she said.
Twilight nodded before summoning a quill and scroll and beginning to write.
“Dear Princess Celestia,
I am writing this to inform you that the object that crashed in the Ponyville park was not a meteorite nor was it anything to be seriously concerned about. As it turns out, two beings from another world have somehow entered Equestria after a crash landing in their aircraft. They are capable of perfect speech and are not hostile in any way. They are Sonic the Hedgehog and Miles “Tails” Prower. They were apparently shot down by an attack from their nemesis, Dr. Eggman but thankfully, there are no signs of him having entered our world and the two beings are unharmed.
While they remain in our world, I will do all that I can to see that they return to their home world safely.

P.S. Sonic the Hedgehog informed me that The Wonderbolts intercepted him and Rainbow Dash assumed that you ordered them to do so. Is this true?”
Just before Twilight could use her magic to send the letter, a loud roar came from Ponyville, followed by screams.
“What in tarnation??” Applejack exclaimed.
Sonic instinctively ran off towards the sound with the others slowly following behind.
The blue hedgehog soon found himself staring up at a T-rex-like creature, it’s whole body shining like metal.
The Ironosaurus Rex.
“Hey Godzilla! I don’t know if you’re an animal or a robot but one thing’s for sure: You’re not trashing this town on my watch!” Sonic yelled.
The metallic dino turned towards the blue hedgehog and roared.
Tails grinned while the girls just stared, shocked.
Finally, Rarity spoke. “Th-That’s an Ironosaurus Rex...AND SONIC’S GOING TO FIGHT IT?!”
“That’s suicide!” Rainbow Dash added.
“Even if Sonic has his speed and combat experience, that dinosaur’s metal exterior is as hard as diamond!” Twilight exclaimed.
Sonic grinned. “Sweet! I love a good challenge,” he said before running at the beast.
The I-Rex brought down its head to take a bite but the blue blur was too fast, double jumping high in the air for a powerful homing attack at the dino’s spine. A loud bang was heard, immediately followed by a crack.
The girls and the townsponies all covered their ears, not including Tails who just watched, unflinching.
Still in mid-air, Sonic curled up into a lightning-fast spin before launching a shockwave, rendering the Ironosaurus Rex dizzy and stunned. Sonic quickly curled up again, took aim and launched more homing attacks all over the beast’s body in the blink of an eye!
Everypony watching was paralyzed with amazement and shock. This hedgehog defied all the laws of...everything and they knew it!
Sonic somersaulted a few miles backwards. It was time for the big finish!
The Ironosaurus Rex, practically crumbling to pieces, still felt the urge to fight for survival and its next and possibly last meal. It charged, roaring loudly and filled with rage.
Sonic grinned as he too began running, quickly picking up speed and eventually accelerating towards Mach 2, AKA Boosting speed. “Start counting your final seconds, Barney cause you’re about to become extinct!” he warned/taunted.
The Ironosaurus Rex screamed with rage before preparing to eat the hedgehog whole!
Sonic flew off a wooden ramp, straightened his body to shoot forward, and prepared fo-*BAM!!!*
Sonic pierced the dino’s body like a bullet, shattering it like glass. After landing perfectly on the dirt road and expecting cheering and screaming with excitement, the blue hero was only met with silence except for Tails who clapped normally.
“Way to go, Sonic! You were so good, the whole town made like an old computer and stopped working!” he laughed.
Sonic laughed as well. “I can see that but...maybe I overdid it. You think they’ll be ok?” he asked.
Tails nodded. “Let’s give it a few seconds,” he answered.
A few seconds later, the whole town suddenly burst into applause and cheering.
Tails chuckled. “See?”
Twilight and the girls immediately galloped over.
Sonic grinned. “Let me guess. ‘That was so awesome, You’re something special Sonic, No words can describe, Ah never seen anythin’ like that, Simply stunning, Radical times a thousand. Yeah Yeah! I get it! I’ve heard it all before!” he said, imitating the 6 ponies as he went.
The girls simply nodded
Tails changed the subject. “Hey Twilight, weren’t you going to send a letter or something?” he asked.
Twilight lit up. “OH YEAH! Thanks for the reminder,” she said, using her magic to teleport the scroll to Canterlot.
Later at the crash site of the Tornado, Tails inspected the damage and frowned. “I think I can fix it but it might take a while...especially since this world lacks in technology, electronics, materials, and fuel” he said.
Twilight smiled. “Maybe we can help!” she suggested.
Tails smiled back. “I guess I could use some assistance, especially since you girls know your way around this world more than me and Sonic do,” he said.
Applejack grinned. “You got that right, partner. How can we help?” she asked.
“You can start by bringing us some food. We are starving!” Tails exclaimed.
((Gotta Go Faster: Sonic Prologue))
Sonic blasted through Ponyville, somersaulting the rooftops, wall-jumping the alleys, and grinding the ropes that connected several houses, doing it all with a smile of freedom and joy.
The ponies of Ponyville and even Cloudsdale watched the show in amazement.
Sonic noticed this and grinned. “You ponies haven’t seen anything yet!” he exclaimed before hitting the streets and rocketing off a ramp. It was trick time! First a regular somersault, then a 360 spin, a backwards spin, finished off with a certain action pose from long ago.
Sonic landed perfectly and headed back to Twilight’s castle for an unexpected surprise.
Tails and the Mane 6 were surrounded by big robotic bees with their stingers aimed at the group.
Badniks!
Sonic sprang into action and homing attacked the enemies one by one.
The Badniks exploded with a *poof*, their bits and bolts flying, and the woodland critters inside freed!
Sonic landed and went over to the group. “You girls ok?” he asked.
Tails stared. “Girls?”
Sonic sweatdropped. “And Tails,” he added.
Twilight and her friends nodded. “Yeah. We’re alright.” the lavender unicorn said.
Fluttershy quickly scooped up the animals. “Bunnies! Chickens! Birdies! Baby Pigs!! You’re all safe!” she exclaimed.
“Hey...innocent woodland critters inside robots? Were those the Badniks you were talking about?” Pinkie Pie asked.
Tails nodded. “Yeah but what are they doing here in Equestria?” he wondered.
“They’re here because of you two,” Princess Celestia said.

In the stormy skies of Mobius, well renowned hero, Sonic the Hedgehog, and his sidekick/best friend, Miles “Tails” Prower, were in the midst of an aerial pursuit of the evil mastermind, Dr. Ivo “Eggman” Robotnik and his fleet of battleships. Once again, the mad scientist had managed to successfully steal the 7 Chaos Emeralds.
“Give those emeralds back, Egghead! The millionth time and you STILL haven’t learned your lesson?” Sonic yelled.
Tails grunted as he fought against the strong winds to keep the Tornado, Tails’ biplane, steady. One mistake could send the plane spinning out of control. “You might wanna hang on to something! This is gonna bumpy ride!” he warned.
Suddenly, The plane shot to the left, barely avoiding a cannonball. “Woah!” Sonic exclaimed.
Meanwhile, inside the leading ship, The Egg Carrier, Dr. Eggman grinned, watching the monitors capture the Tornado’s desperate struggle to keep up. “Dodge all you want, Fox boy! That tiny toy plane is no match for my massive Egg Fleet! HAHAHA!” he laughed into a speaker.
Then Eggman’s dim-witted servants, Orbot and Cubot, got in front of their creator for a better view of the action. “I wouldn’t be so sure about that, boss. Big things come in small packages after all,” Orbot said.
“Big things? What kind of big things? I hope it’s something nice!” Cubot excitedly added.
Eggman shoved the two aside to see the Tornado coming closer. “What?!”
Tails grinned as he shoved the yoke forward. “Just a little more! Don’t fail me now, Tornado!” he exclaimed.
Back on the ship, Dr. Eggman growled then pressed some buttons on the control panel. “I don’t think so,” he said before looking back to the screen not showing an image from one of the ship's cannons, locking onto the biplane. “FIRE!!” Eggman screamed.
The ship fired an energy beam at the Tornado, ripping off the left wing and sending the plane into a spin!
“GAH! We’re hit!!” Sonic exclaimed, holding onto the plane’s roof for dear life!
Tails tried to keep the plane from spinning but it was no use. “Mayday! WE’RE GOING DOWN!!” he screamed.
The Tornado continued to spin as it fell out of the sky towards what seemed like a cone-shaped cloud. A bolt of lightning struck the tail of the plane just as it disappeared below the surface.
Just before blacking out, Sonic could see that the dark and stormy sky gave way to a bright and grassy field with a beautiful and colorful town in the distance.
...Then everything went black...
