Shawn was becoming tired, tired of what exactly? The forest. The Everfree Forest was not something he liked. They had already had a pack of Timber wolves nearly eat them and then Gus was probably going to have trauma from the experience. But there were good signs to be found, tracks where a pony had been drug was there and along it were patches of green fur obviously from Granny Smith. Then there was Twilight, she was becoming increasingly worried by the fact they had perhaps an hour ago passed The Castle of The Two Sisters. They were tired, frightened and becoming hungry. Then Shawn was the first to speak, the trail had ended. There was nothing more to follow.

"We should stop. Without the trail and the fact you don't know this part of the forest we could get lost."

Twilight replied, "I just don't get it. Who, or what would kidnap somepony and drag them all the way out here and then how does the trail just go cold suddenly?"

"I don't know either, but we need to come back more prepared, perhaps ready for a night or two out here."

Gus was ready to leave, they had to drag him all the way they had come after the encounter with the Timber wolves. Applejack becoming tired had let go of his shirt. He jumped up right then and was running away screaming, "free, I'm free!"

Everyone else didn't have anything close to his energy. More or less they were crawling back. By the end of it they were ready to just fall over and sleep right there on the edge of the Everfree Forest. But they had made a promise to Pinkie, and they were already late. And well you know what happens when you break a Pinkie promise. So they continued on, unsure of where Gus had gone. Finally finding him collapsed in the middle of a pathway. Once again they had to drag him. Twilight too tired to really pick him up just used her magic to grab his ankle and drag him. There was Pinkie, jumping up and down outside of Sugar Cube Corner, she looked ready to burst had they not showed up just then.

"So you did remember to come! Did you find Granny Smith? Did you did you did you did you!?"

Shawn was the one to speak, "No, the trail went cold. But we did find the Everfree is full of strange creatures and much bigger than Twilight here thought possible."

"Did you run into Timber wolves?"

"We most certainly did and they are not friendly."

"Well you are lucky! One time Applejack was nearly eaten by them! Her hoof was caught between two rocks and then a giant one was this close to eating her when Spike jumped up and threw a rock down it's throat and then it choked and exploded raining down sticks and logs and everything wood!"

Tired they slowly trudged inside the building, Shawn having to slap Gus more than a few times to wake him up.

"Gus wake up, look at this. It's sugar heaven."

Mesmerized by the party that pink pony had put together their energy had come back, half from seeing this, half from eating everything sweet there. But we know how sugar rushes go. You get five minutes of energy then you crash. And slowly they went down, but not before Pinkie got out even the worst news.

"This party was going to have a lot more ponies but I just couldn't find them! I searched all of the town and I couldn't find Filthy Rich, or Diamond Tiara, or Silver Spoon, or Blossomforth, or Flitter, or Ditzy Doo, or Amethyst Star! They are missing."

Twilight's reaction was a lot of heaving breathing followed by an outburst, "missing!? MISSING!? And you didn't think to tell us sooner!?"

And that is how it got even more intense, it wasn't just one mare now, it was becoming a large ordeal of ponies disappearing. And upon hearing that, half from the sugar rush crash, half from the news their job just got a hell of a lot harder, Shawn and Gus were out cold.

Sorry for late upload! :P You know how school goes so I had to do school and also think of ideas for the next chapter. I'll try to make the chapters longer but I don't have all the time in the world to type so as I get the time I will work on this.
