Chapter 1

Winter Rose a Pegasus mare with a snow white coat and a icy blue mane was shopping in the market. She was a fragile mare that can get hurt very easily. It was her daughter's birthday in three weeks and she still hadn't found a descent gift. "Step right up and look at this marvel of a thing." a pony in a white shirt with red stripes and a flat brimmed & topped straw hat with a red ribbon tied around it said. Winter walks up to see what the big deal is about. If it could be a cute gift for her daughter, she might as well take it. She squeezes by a couple stallions to get a better look. "You will have to see it to believe it." one of the ponies. It was a diamond pendent,.

"Um... excuse me, but what's so important about it." Winter said, but she found it quite beautiful. Almost like something that Midnight would have brought home.

"Well little filly, this hear pendent is from the Nightmare Night witch after Nightmare Moon was banished." the other pony said.

"Do I hear 20 bits." the other said.

Winter thought for a moment, the said, "but the Pendants the wrong color and it was already raided by my husband. He's the tomb raider Nightshade. Still I'd give you fifteen for it, which is more then enough for a fake." Winter didn't actually know if it was fake, but the looks she was getting means that they don't know either. Winter continued to smile, it made the others think she knew what she was talking about.

"Sold to the white Pegasus mare." the pony said. Winter payed the fifteen and took the Amulet. Now she finally had a good gift for her daughter. Just as Winter was exiting the crowd a winter blue Pegasus with a snow white mane ran right into Winter

"Oh I am so so so sorry, I-I-I I'm so sorry, I really have been paying more attention to where I was going. I'm Winter by the way." The Pegasus told Winter.

"It's okay, my name is Winter Rose." Winter said smiling. She got a bruise from the bump. She didn't let it show that it hurt though.
"I haven't seen you in Ponyville before. Are you new?" She said.

"Oh yea I am new hear, but I live with a friend out of town though." Winter told Winter Rose as she got up and helped Winter Rose up.

"How nice, I've lived here ever since I first met my husband as a filly." Winter Rose said. She already liked the new mare.

"Well I would love to stay and chat but I got to get flying." Winter told Winter Rose as she flapped her wings and waved to her.

Winter Rose waved back and walked home. Nightshade wasn't home and her daughter was still at school.
"I should start dinner." Winter Rose said and walked into the kitchen. Just as she entered the kitchen a knock at the front door, Winter walked over to the door and opened it and saw a large prepackage, she darted her eyes around looking for whoever left it hear. Winter couldn't find who sent it, so she brought it in and opened it. It was a cloud that didn't float around, and a note was under the cloud.

It read "Found out that your daughters B-Day is coming up so I sent a little something for her, don't worry its just a training cloud, well that's what I was told it was, so anyway hope your daughter likes it <3 :) ~Winter"

"Aww! How sweet. I'll be sure to tell her thanks." Winter said And closed it. She wrapped it up as a present. Then she wrapped up the pendant, placing the gifts in the master bedroom so her daughter won't see it yet. Just as she was exiting the bedroom Sky Lilly came though the front door home from school.

"Oh, welcome back dear!" Winter said smiling.

"Hi mommy! Wild and Red are so goofy." Lily said giggling.

"Oh? What did those two colts do?" Winter asked smiling. It wasn't time for her gifts.

"They wouldn't stop glaring at each other. After Red hugged me, Wild pulled him away. Then the glaring happened the entire day." Lily replied smiling. Just after she said that something came crashing into the window.

"Derpy!!!!!! Ugh now we're... I'm going to have to pay for any damage you caused, why can't you pay more attention." A familiar voice yelled.

"Hold on, I'll be right back." Winter Rose said And walked outside. Then Squealed like a filly when she saw Derpy. Winter then hugged the clumsy mare. "Oh, its good to see you. How have you been?" Winter Rose asked smiling.

"Trying to cloud bust." Winter said with a flat tone and look.

"Oh Winter, that was a thoughtful gift for my daughter! But you know her birthday is in three weeks right?" Winter Rose asked while still hugging Derpy.

"Yea I know that now. Guess who told me just barley that it was in three weeks." Winter told Winter Rose pointing towards Derpy Hooves.

"you know, Derpy and I met in flight school. Even before I met my husband." Winter Rose said And Lily flew out of the house to hug Derpy.

"Auntie Derpy!" The filly squealed happily.

"Oh so this must be the famous Sky Lilly." Winter said as she landed to give Sky Lilly a hoof bump.

"Yep, First name Lily, second name Sky! I can even hover now!" Lily said.

"Well I hear your B-Day is coming up in three weeks, Thank you Derpy for just telling me." Winter said to Sky Lilly and yelled to Derpy.

Derpy chuckled a bit.

"Sorry I'm just so excited to see Lily turn seven. It'll be so fun." Derpy said And hugged Lily tightly. Winter Rose just giggled at the situation.

"Auntie Derpy! It's hard to breathe!" Lily said And Derpy let go.

"Oh well, so Sky I hear your almost seven hummmmm well that's old enough to be a wonder bolt." Winter said chuckling to herself at the joke that nopony else got.

"But I don't want to be a Wonderbolt. I want to make flowers grow on clouds. I think Cloudsdale while be nicer with flowers that will live longer then ones brought from down here." Lily said smiling.

"I was making a joke that my sister told me. But Sky that is a vary nice thing that you want to do." Winter told the smiling filly. Lily giggles happily accepting the compliment.

"Is Winter having a girl's tea party?" A stallion with a charcoal black coat and a crimson red mane walked up, he was a Earth pony with a light brown jacket and a black fedora. Lily ran up and hugged him.

"Welcome back Daddy!" Lily said giggling.

"Oh hi you must Sky's Dad, I'm Winter." She said happily to the stallion.
