Around The Town We Go

Chapter 2

Winter Rose woke up curled up into Nightshade's chest. It was the next day and she had to force herself to get out of the warmth of Nightshade's chest and her bed to get Lily ready for school. She went to the kitchen and started to make Breakfast and Lunch for Lily. A knock came at the door when she was half way done with the meals. She opened the door to see her new friend Winter at the front door. "Oh, your a life saver. Can you take Lily to school. I don't have the energy to do it." Winter Rose said then yawned. She rather be in bed with her stallion.

"Sure of course I can." Winter replied happily and with a smile. And as soon as she said that Lilly came running out faster than a bullet. "Whoa where do you think your going this early in the morning, and how in Luna's name do you have this much energy this early?" Winter asked the young pegasus.

"Red is bringing breakfast and lunch for Wild and me! I have to hurry and get to school before it starts." Lily replied smiling.

"But you have an hour before school starts... Oh forget it. I'm going to back to bed and curl up into Nightshade." Winter Rose said And closed the door.

"Ok you go do that Rose, as for you little filly don't start jumping off cliffs before your wings fly, that was what my mom and dad always told me." Winter said.

"Well hurry up, I have to get there! You have to meet my friends!" Lily said pulling Winter and giggling.

"Fine then." Winter said to the filly trying and failing to pull her anywhere.

When they made it to the school, two Colts were sitting on a clothe with meals already set up. The school wasn't open yet so they still had time. One of the Colts was a unicorn with a dark blue coat and a dark red mane. The other was an earth pony with a brown coat and a black mane. "There they are Winter! Come on!" Lily said giggling and fluttering of the ground.

"Hey I didn't know you had two boyfriends." Winter said laughing under a wing.

Lily stopped fluttering and blushed hard while looking away. "T-they aren't my b-boyfriends, they are my b-best friends." Lily replied nervously.

"Come on Lilly it was just a joke hash." Winter said to the young pegasus as she wrapped her with one of her wings. Lily looked up at Winter and then to her hooves. She breathed to calm her heartbeat, which made her blush go way. "Better now." Winter said to Lily who was still looking at her hooves. Lily looked back up and silently nods. "What ya cant speak now." Winter said laughing under her breath.

"You got thoughts in my head and I'm hungry." Lily replied.

"Ok then then lets eat." Winter told Lily and chuckled. Lily smiled and ran up to the two colts.

"Hey guys, I want you to meet someone." Lily said giggling. The unicorn colt instantly put a hoof over Lily's shoulder.

"I'd love to meet her, I'd meet anypony you introduce." The unicorn said smiling brightly. The earth pony then pulled the unicorn away from Lily.

"Control yourself fangboy." The earth pony said glaring at the unicorn.

"I was, why don't you go play some fetch somewhere pooch?" The unicorn said glaring back and Lily started to giggle.

"OK I have seen allot of dog fights but never with colts, oh and Lily this is a sure fire way that they both like you." Winter said laughing not even trying to hide it.

Lily stopped giggling and blushed hard.

"R-red, W-wild... this is Winter... she's my mother's new friend." Lily said looking away to hide her blush. The two Colts look at Winter.

"Hi! The names Red Moon! Oh, and this moron next to me is Wild Hunt." The unicorn said smiling friendly.

"Hey! I can introduce myself and who ya calling a moron you idiot!" The earth pony snapped angrily.

"Hey, hey, hey, boys why don't we say this nether of you two are aloud to call each other a moron or and idiot ok." Winter said taking control of the situation.

"don't ask the impossible. I can't imagine them without the glaring and namecalling." Lily said giggling. Red instantly hugged Lily.

"Your laugh is definitely the cutest, I could nibble on you!" Red said happily and was pulled away by Wild.

"There will be no nibbling fangboy." Wild said with a glare and Lily giggled again before starting to eat the food that Red brought.

"Oh now I see, you know I've seen all sorts of ponies, shadow, dragon, channeling, humans." Winter said laughing but muffling the last word with her wing so nopony heard it.

"What do you mean?" Lily asked confused. The two Colts continued to glare at each other as they ate.

"Oh so you must not know what they are, it's one of the main reasons they fight." Winter said to Lily as both the colts went immediately to glaring at winter with worry on there expression

"Um... What do you mean?" Lily asked still confused. Red stepped in front of Winter.

"Oh, it's nothing, just a little rivalry between Wild and me... heh heh." Red said nervously hoping she buy it.

"Mmm... Okay if that's why you fight." Lily said giggling. The two Colts let out a sigh of relief.

"Really ok then if you want to keep it a secret that's your choice." Winter said as she stretched her wings up and out.

"Secret?" Lily asked confused again. Both Colts glared at Winter.

"Hey just doing my job." Winter said as she gave a mysterious smile.

"Can I get some answers." Lily asked while trying to figure it out.

"Don't ask me." Winter said still with a simile.

Red smiled and laughed nervously.
"Well I'm caught, pooch and I are competing on getting a better gift for your birthday." Red said nervously and Wild facehoofed.

Winter had been around these things before so she "tried" to approach the situation carefully "Really that's the best you can do." Winter blurted out between laughs.

"Your not helping me!" Red shouted at Winter in frustration.

"I know that, don't get your fangs in a twist." Winter said smiling at the still frustrated Red.

"Fangs? What do you mean Winter?" Lily asked cluelessly.

"You boys honestly didn't tell her. Welp that's your problem now." Winter said laughing.
