Chapter 1: Who is this little filly?
It was quite a dark day in the Everfree forest! A little Alicorn filly with a purple coat and very messy black mane and tail trotted around the dark ground with a cute little black fox dancing around her hooves. The filly had dark emerald green eyes and smiled as if nothing scared her in this forest. "Come on Karma the sun is going down, we need to make it to the top of the tower to watch the moon rise!" The little filly called out to the fox as she ran down a hill and into a rundown building across a bridge. The fox followed and Giggled with her. As the ascended the spiral staircase of the only tower that stood tall even with a few cracks in it slowly the fox started to fall behind the little folly. "Slow down Mayhem, I'm not as fast as you remember." Karma called to her from behind. Once at the top of the tower the sun started to lower. Stars started to gleam in Mayhem's eyes as she saw the beautiful full moon rise and come into view. Mayhem was smiling, she loved when the moon came up. It was something she always looked forward to when night time came.
Karma sat next to Mayhem and leaned against her side. Mayhem looked down and smiled and wrapped her wing around her best friend. "You know something Karma, I want to meet other ponies. Do you think we could leave the forest one day and go find others out there?" Mayhem asked as if Karma was like a big sister or a mother to her. Karma then stood in front of Mayhem and smiled. "We totally should. I even bet there other alicorns out there! I remember my mother use to tell me stories of all kinds of ponies!" Karma yipped and was getting all excited. Mayhem lowered her ears, when Karma mentioned her mother it made Mayhem a little sad. "I wonder if I will ever meet my parents. If they are still out there." Mayhem turned around and went to go sit in the corner. Karma realized what she said and then stopped jumping. "Oh I'm sorry May, come on, I bet you will see them again!" Karma tried her best to cheer up Mayhem. Once she did they both got to jumping.
Suddenly Karma's foot slipped and landed on a crack on the right corner of the tower. A sudden crack was heard and the side of the tower stumbled and broke off. Mayhem quickly went to go help her friend as Karma held on for her life. "Don’t let go of me!" Karma screamed as her back legs wiggled for grip on something. Mayhem dug her back hooves into the rest of the tower and tried to pull up Karma but it was too late. The rest of the tower cracked and both of them went tumbling. Mayhem tried to teleport herself but was knocked in the head by a medium sized bolder and knocked unconscious.
When Mayhem came to she was in a dark area. She pushed a rock out of the way to show it was still night time. "Karma!" Mayhem yelled for her friend, getting out of the hole she was in and searched through the rocks in order to find her little friend. Suddenly Mayhem found an area that the rocks were loose and moved them. Under she found a small ball of black fur in a pool of blood. Her best friend was dead. Mayhem shuffled backwards and into a wall. She looked up to see a big painting on the wall, it was torn but there was a white horse on it. The horse in the painting didn’t look that much older than Mayhem was now but there was something about this horse that gave Mayhem some comfort. She curled up in a ball at the bottom of the painting and cried. She couldn’t believe she lost her best friend and the only thing keeping her happy.
Mayhem had cried herself to sleep but was woken up to the sound of hoof steps in the building. Quickly she stood up and ran around the corner and hid. Shadows from the moonlight turned up close to the pile of rubble. "I guess this castle is too old to be standing these days." A low voice spoke as the body it belonged to showed. The horse had a night time dark blue coat and a Man to match the Starry night sky. This pony looked just like one of the ponies Mayhem say in one of the paintings in the building. "Oh no, it looks like I found the culprit." A second voice much sweeter came from the hole that Mayhem found Karma's body at. The pony where the second voice came from was taller and white. Mayhem then looked up to the painting she fell asleep under before. It seemed like this one was the same horse. The flowing pastel pink, blue and green mane was beautiful. That’s when she noticed the marks on both ponies’ flanks. The white one had a sun mark and the blue one had the moon.
Mayhem took a step back and accidentally kicked a rock. Both of the ponies looked towards where Mayhem stood. Mayhem backed into the dark and tried to hide as both the larger ponies walked around the corner. "Who is there?" The darker one said in a loud booming voice. The larger one looked down and placed her hoof in front of the darker horse. "Luna don’t be so loud." She then got a little low and moved towards the shadows. "Come on out. We won’t hurt you." She sounded so nice and kind. Mayhem tried to trust her. She slowly brought herself out and showed only her face. "Oh it’s just a small filly." The tall one said as she smiled. The one she called Luna then tilted her head a little bit. "Celestia, should we help her home?" Luna asked looking up at the one she called Celestia. Celestia looked down at Mayhem and smiled. "What is your name little one?" Celestia asked. Mayhem smiled and then moved closer a little bit and stretched her wings. "My name is Mayhem Gamer!" After she stretched her wings that caught Luna's eyes and she was surprised. "Tia, she’s an Alicorn." Luna mentioned and then Celestia saw her little wings. But she kept going on and asking her questions. "Where do you live Mayhem?" Celestia couldn’t keep her eyes off the magnificent little filly who made her surprised that her and her sister were not the only Alicorns. "I live here." Mayhem said with cheer in her voice. Celestia and Luna looked between each other and had a worried look on their faces. Luna nodded her head and so did Celestia. "Mayhem, would you like to come live at our castle with us?" Celestia asked. Mayhem's eyes brighten and she smiled up at Celestia and Luna. "Do you know how to fly?" Luna asked. Mayhem shook her head. She never tried to learn since she didn’t really have a reason to fly. Suddenly Luna scooped up Mayhem and placed the small filly on her back. "Hold on tight alright." Luna said as they took off into the sky.
When they got to the Canterlot castle a few Unicorn and Pegasus soldiers greeted them. "Welcome back princess'." A Unicorn guard with a white coat and blue mane and what looks like the Captain's uniform on. Mayhem hid a little bit in Luna's mane and the guard looked around and when he saw Mayhem he smiled. "We found her living at our old castle and we decided to bring her here." Celestia said with a small concerned look on her face. Mayhem peeked out and saw all of the guards standing there, some with orange coats and others with white. She smiled and giggled. "Shining armor, mind making sure one of the extra rooms is prepped, we are going to show her around for a little bit." Celestia spoke to the guard captain and he nodded his head as he turned around and the guards dispersed. "You are safe to walk on your own now." Luna said in a nice voice. Mayhem nodded and hopped off of Luna's back and in between both of the tall horses.
Celestia and Luna gave Mayhem a nice tour of the castle and then ended it at the room she would be sleeping in. Mayhem smiled and with that went into the room.
Mayhem was actually happy she got a chance to see other ponies like she always wished. She was still surprised she went from living on a cold stone floor to living in a castle and sleeping on a nice warm bed. The only thing she missed was her best friend, the only thing she wished she had.

Chapter 2: Lets meet the ponies in Ponyville!
Ever since Mayhem started living in the Castle with the Princess' she was given Magic lessons and Flying lessons. Somehow she grew faster than a regular pony does and within the two years she has been living in the Castle she has grown to the size of all the regular ponies that live in Canterlot. Mayhem was always told that she wasn’t allowed to leave the castle because Celestia was afraid that the public would freak if they found out another Alicorn in Equestria.
Mayhem sat in the library and was reading her Magic Study book. The sun was shining through the window right onto her. The main door opens to show Celestia on the other side. "Oh do I have some good news for you Mayhem!" Celestia said as she enters the room and spoke with a cheerful tone in her voice. She sat down at the table across from Mayhem. "So I thought you would like this. I booked you a trip to visit my Number one star student Princess Twilight Sparkle. So later this afternoon you will take a train to Pony Ville. She is going to help you master your Magic." Celestia smiled. Mayhem was a little concerned. "I thought you said I can’t be seen by other ponies." Mayhem asked as she tilted her head a bit. Celestia smiled as she placed a little box on the table. "I had a good friend of mine make this for you. If you wear it then the ponies you meet will only think you’re a Unicorn." She had this all planned out from the start and Mayhem was very surprised. Mayhem opened the box to revile a nice red cape with Purple designs on it. Mayhem put it on and posed in it, making Celestia laugh.
Mayhem left the library and went to go back her bags, putting in her study books. She quickly got some flying in before she had to get on the train. Mayhem heard a voice calling to her from the ground and she looked down to see a male Pegasus guard standing there. She landed on the ground in front of him and he kneeled down bowing to her. "Miss Mayhem... Princess Celestia has asked I accompany you to Pony Ville, just in case things happened." The Stallion smiled and Mayhem noticed he was a little different from all the other Guards. He had a Dark Blue coat and Brown and White Striped Main and Tail. Mayhem smiled and walked over to where she placed her bag and Cape and threw them on. Celestia and Luna walked out of the Castle. "All ready for your Trip to Pony Ville?" Celestia asked. Mayhem smiled as she tightened her cape and then looked up at the two princess' who were nice enough to become her family when she couldn’t find hers. She nodded and then walked over towards the train station that was connected to the Castle area. "Oh and I’ve seen you have met Cursor. He is going to accompany you for today to watch over you just to make sure there is no trouble." Luna mentioned as she stopped next to her sister. Mayhem looked at Cursor and smiled at him. They said their goodbyes and boarded the train.
As they arrived at the station for Pony Ville, Mayhem looked over at Cursor who was standing by the door in his work mode. She stood up and walked over to the door and kind of next to Cursor. "So why did you want to be a guard for the Princess'?" Mayhem just wanted to ask. Cursor chuckled and looked over at her. "I applied for the job because I wanted to work for the Princess'! And maybe get small jobs like this, with someone like you." Cursor was being flirty for no reason. Mayhem giggled as the doors to the train open.
Once the doors open Mayhem saw 6 ponies standing there smiling. Mayhem only thought she would be meeting just one. She took a couple steps outside of the rain and adjusted her bag on her back without raising her cape. A Purple pony walked up and smiled. This pony was also an Alicorn so Mayhem was confused to why she wasn’t allowed to show her wings. "You must be Mayhem Gamer. I am Twilight Sparkle. Welcome to Pony Ville!" She bowed a little and it made Mayhem smile. "No need to bow for me. So who are your friends?" Mayhem pointed to the other 5 ponies behind Twilight. Down the row she introduced her friends Rarity, Apple Jack, Pinkie Pie, Fluttershy and Rainbow Dash. Mayhem smiled and followed Twilight and her friends into town. "If you want we can give you a tour of Pony Ville before out lesson!" Twilight said. Mayhem agreed and was happy to get the tour. They went all over Pony Ville, from sweet apple acres to Fluttershy's cabin. But that was where Mayhem felt a bit uneasy to go. When they got outside Fluttershy's cabin she stopped. "What’s wrong Mayhem?" Cursor asked as he looked at her scared expression. Mayhem stared at the Everfree Forrest. "I use to live in there before the princess' found me. It’s so weird being this close to it again and to know I lived so close to other Ponies." Mayhem sounded a bit scared in her voice, she was worried about stuff that happened in the past. She shook it out of her system and then looked towards Flutterfly's cabin and saw someone in the window. "Uh, who is that?" Mayhem asked. Fluttershy looked at the window and then giggled. "Oh my friend Discord is visiting today but I told him I was meeting with someone new so I’d be back." Fluttershy giggled with her words and she motioned for Discord to come out of the cabin. He shook his head and Fluttershy shrugged. "Well we might as well go anyways, Mayhem and I have a lesson to get to." Twilight said as she turned away from the cabin.
When they got to Twilights house they started away with the lesson. "Oh hold on, let me ask spike where the right book is. OH SPIKE?" Twilight called to someone who was upstairs. Suddenly all you heard were small feet pitter patting their way down the stairs until a little purple dinosaur made it to the bottom. "Yes Twilight how can I... oh who is this?" The one Mayhem guess was spike asked as he saw her for the first time. "This is Mayhem Gamer, she was the one that Princess Celestia sent so she could learn more basic magic." Twilight introduced Mayhem and Cursor to Spike then went on with the lesson. Mayhem was a curious little mare and just had to ask. "So how do you have a talking baby dragon?" She asked while nudging towards Spike who was off in his own world in the kitchen area making himself food. "Oh when I was trying out to be in a Magic school I had to use magic to hatch a dragon egg. It’s also the day Celestia made me her star pupil." Twilight explained it all and also mentioned how some older dragons can talk too. Mayhem was amazed, she never knew dragons could talk. "Yeah, my old friend Karma use to tell me a lot of stories." Mayhem just mentioned out of nowhere. She made Twilight a bit confused and looked up noticing the look on twilights face. "Oh Karma was my old friend from before the princess' found me. She was a fox!" Mayhem seemed happy to talk about her old friend. Twilight was surprised, she also was slightly confused. "And she could talk?" Twilight asked slightly confused. "Yeah I used my magic and taught her how to talk!" Mayhem said with a cheerful tone but then she saw the shock on Twilights face. Was it something she said? "I can’t even to that level of Magic, is Celestia sure you need to be taking Magic lessons or giving them?" Twilight looked through her books and went really far into the higher level books. The ones she hasn’t gone through before. Twilight found the spell and showed it to Mayhem. "See that kind of Magic is Alicorn level, not even I can pull that off yet! You must have had a lot of Magic when you were younger!" Twilight was amazed. Cursor silently sighed in the background glad that she didn’t find out Mayhems secret.
After the lesson Twilight took Mayhem and Cursor to where the other girls were hanging out. "Hello ladies and gentleman, how was the lesson?" Rarity welcomed the three of them and smiled. Twilight spoke to the others and Mayhem turned to Cursor. "Should I ask Celestia about reviling my secret to Twilight only? I mean I think she could keep a secret!" Mayhem asked him silently. Cursor didn’t really know how to answer properly but he tried his best at it. "It might be possible, but it all depends if Princess Celestia is sure she can trust Princess Twilight with a secret that big." Cursor gave her a concerned expression but then went back into work mode when Twilight and the others approached.
They all hung out talking with each other as they got to know Mayhem. "So something I want to ask. Why is it that one of the royal guards came with you? Don’t only the Princess need the guards?" Applejack asked. Mayhem looked over at Cursor and wasn’t sure how to answer that question. Cursor looked like he wasn’t sure either. "Maybe they are actually dating and they came here right after his shift was done." Rainbow Dash snickered in the background. Mayhem shot a look towards her and kind of snarled. She didn’t like that joke, even though it isn’t true. "No we are not dating. I only just met him today when Celestia asked him to come along with me. Since I live in the castle I guess she thinks I might get in trouble so she asked him to tag along. Not sure..." Her sentence trailed off when she heard Rainbow Dash snickering in the background and the faint sound of her whispering 'she’s totally lying through her teeth' come from her mouth. Mayhem was getting frustrated and really wanted Dash to stop being so rude towards her. "Please stop Rainbow Dash." Cursor said in a low tone. But sadly Dash didn’t care and kept mocking Mayhem, singing Mayhem and Cursor sitting in a tree kind of song. Mayhem then lunged through everyone else and tackled the hovering Rainbow Dash to the ground. "YOU HAVE GOT TO BE KIDDING ME!" Mayhem growled at her. The two of them started to wrestle and roll around onto he ground. Suddenly red fabric went flying and everyone gasped.

Chapter 3: Wai I get my own guards?
All everyone saw was Mayhem standing over Rainbow Dash. Mayhem's Wings were fully out and exposed. Everyone gasped at the sight of Mayhem being an Alicorn. Cursor then grabbed Mayhems cape and pulled her off of Rainbow Dash and behind him. "You are an Alicorn?" Twilight asked, taking a couple steps towards. Mayhem walked around Cursor nodding at him to tell him it’s ok. "Yes, I'm an Alicorn. That’s the truth to why Cursor had to come with me. To help keep me being an Alicorn a secret. But please don’t tell anyone else about me, Celestia wants to wait for the right time to tell everyone!" Mayhem pleaded and with one look between each other Twilight and the others smiled and nodded. Mayhem sighed and smiled. She looked up and saw that the sun was starting to set and the moon was about to rise. "Well I think it’s time me and Cursor made it home, see you girls next week." Mayhem smiled and throw back on her cloak. The girls did walk Mayhem and Cursor to the train station and said their goodbye's there.
On the train back Mayhem kept taking a couple glances towards Cursor. This time he sat in one of the chairs and stared out the window. He seemed so mysterious somehow, like he had so much to his life but didn’t talk about it much. Suddenly Mayhem's face was red, she wondered why all of a sudden she was blushing but shook it off and then looked out the window at the moon as it rose into the sky. "Doesn’t the moon look beautiful tonight?" Mayhem asked as she looked over to Cursor who apparently was staring at her. That small blush came back and Mayhem had a surprised look on her face. Cursor started chuckling and shook his head. "Sorry but your reaction was kind of funny." Cursor was laughing within his words. Mayhem rolled her eyes them smiled.
Once the train got back to the castle both Mayhem and Cursor were greeted by Celestia and Luna. "So did the trip go well?" Celestia asked as Mayhem and Cursor stepped off the train. Mayhem looked at cursor with concern whether or not she should tell Celestia about the others finding out she was an Alicorn. Cursor nodded at her as to say she should say it. "It went great, but somehow my Cape came off and Twilight and her friends saw my wings." Mayhem winced when she spoke that last part, expecting to be scolded for what happened. When she opened her eyes she saw a smile on Celestia’s face. "I knew something would happen, But as long as it was only Twilight and her friends who saw." Celestia said, and with that Celestia and Luna turned around and went off into the castle.
Mayhem looked over at Cursor and smiled. "So I guess that is goodnight for tonight." Mayhem said with a slight shy tone in her voice. Cursor smiled and took off his helmet letting down his hair to show the two colors of brown and white side by side. He was about to speak when he was cut off by a random voice. "Hey there Bro!" Mayhem and Cursor both looked towards the voice to see a cream orange Pegasus in the guard armor walk down the stairs towards them. This stallion had the same mane style and coloring as Cursor but a little lighter. "Oh hello there brother! What are you doing here, I thought your shift ended a couple hours ago?" Cursor asked. His brother stopped and took off his helmet letting his mane fall and flop on the top of his head. He smiled and stretched his wings. "Actually I didn’t work yet. I got reassigned to a better job." He had a big smile on his face. "Oh by the way, Mayhem this is my Twin brother Choco, he is also one of the guards and had the same shift I had, Choco this is Mayhem Gamer, I was asked to go with her to Pony Ville today." Cursor smiled as he introduced his brother and Mayhem to each other, but all they noticed was the big smile on Choco's face. He seemed very excited as he pulled the letter out from under his armor and handed it to his brother. Cursor read the letter then a big smile came across his face and he looked at his brother then at Mayhem. "What is it?" Mayhem asked. Choco then walked up to Mayhem and wrapped his wing around her back. "Well Miss Mayhem, as of tonight, Princess Celestia has assigned me and my Brother as your official Guards!" Choco said with a large smile on his face. Mayhem's eyes went wide and she then looked at Choco and then looked at Cursor. "Wait you guys actually are going to be my own personal guards?" Mayhem was surprised. She was also very happy about knowing that she will be seeing these two all day. "Well Cursor will have the Day shift and I will watch over you during the night." Choco said and smiled as he moved to go stand next to his brother. Mayhem smiled and giggled a bit, she was a bit happy to know that two boys who she really wanted to be good friends with were going to be with her every day. "Well then I guess I will walk with you to my room then, Kind of tired. Night Cursor." Mayhem smiled and turned towards the castle. "Do you mind if I come with you guys? Then say our goodnights at the door." Cursor said. Mayhem agreed and the three of them walked together to Mayhem's room.
When they got to Mayhem's room Cursor nudged his brother and gave him a look. Choco knew what he was saying without speaking. Choco went to stand beside the door where he would be standing all night. Cursor walked into Mayhems room with her. "So I guess this is goodnight then." Cursor was being slightly awkward and not really sure. Mayhem took off her cloak and put down her bag and looked back at Cursor. "Yeah, I'll meet you in the garden in the morning. I feel like going out a little early in the morning." Mayhem smiled and then went to go hug Cursor and say goodnight. Without thinking she kissed his cheek and then moved back surprised she did that. "Well goodnight then." Mayhem said quickly shutting the door in Cursor's face. She backed up against the door and touched her lips. She couldn’t believe she did that. She didn’t think she would. But somewhere in her heart and mind, it really was something she wanted to do.

Chapter 4: Why does he appear in my dreams?
Mayhem was a young little filly. She ran around a nice green open area. A Dark black Alicorn followed her and was smiling. He had a nice yellow mane and Yellow eyes to match! The two of then looked like they were playing Tag and the black stallion was it. Mayhem tripped on a stone and went tumbling down the hill and stopped at the bottom. Laying on her back looking up at the sky she started laughing and smiled as she saw the black stallion leap off the hill and land near her. He turned and saw the laughing filly and started laughing himself. "You ok Mayhem?" He asked her as he helped her to sit up. "Yes daddy, I am fine!" Mayhem smiled as she looked up to who was her father. Suddenly the black stallion started to fade and half his body was a blurry look of a familiar face. Mayhem jumped back in shock and her eyes. Who was this and what did he do with her father. Somehow the blurry face seemed a little clearer to her. The face was Discord.
Suddenly Mayhem sat up in a fully coat of sweat. She was in her bedroom at the Castle, it was all a dream. More like a nightmare at that. Mayhem got out of bed and went to the window to open it up. The sun was just rising so she opened the curtains to her windows and went to open her door to greet Choco. "Mayhem, you look horrible, what happened?" Choco asked as he looked her over a bit. She sighed and shook her head. "I just woke up from a nightmare. I'm ok, it’s just a first." Mayhem smiled. She told Choco she was going to get ready for the day and be out here in a few minutes.
After Mayhem had said her goodbyes with Choco, she headed to the castle gardens. She loved how Celestia was nice enough to let her go outside, she just had to watch where she flew since she had to hide her horn for that. Mayhem stopped to sniff some roses and started laughing when a nice honey bee tickled her nose and flew away.
Cursor walked out of the castle looking for Mayhem since Choco said she was out here. He called out to her and looked around but couldn’t see her. He scratched his head and then slowly spotted a flowing black mane in the distance. The sight was like a movie. When Cursor saw Mayhem, her mane was flowing in the wind, her wings half open, her eyes were shut and she had flower petals flowing around her. Cursor's heart skipped a beat and he stood in awe as his face turned red from the sight of Mayhem so beautiful in the flowers.
After a few minutes Mayhem noticed Cursor standing there a little out of it. She walked over to him and smiled as she tilted her head a bit. "Cursor, her cursor you ok?" After that he snapped out of it and then smiled at her. He tried to play off that he was staring at her and act like he just didn’t get enough sleep. "Sorry, was woken up earlier then expected this morning. I'm kind of out of it. But we must go to Celestia, she had to speak with you." Cursor smiled and motioned for Mayhem to walk and he would follow her. On the way there Cursor noticed no single particular cutie mark rested upon Mayhem's Flank. He didn’t want to question it since he knew she never had a chance to find herself since her entire childhood was either in the Everfree forest or in this castle.
When they arrived to Celestia's throne she sat there looking a little mad. Mayhem bowed at the steps then looked up a bit scared that she might be getting yelled at. Celestia's expression eased and she stepped down and then placed her wing over Mayhem's head. "It’s ok, I'm not that mad. Just a little angry, but it’s ok! I trust Twilight and her friends to keep our little secret about you from others." Celestia seemed very calm about the situation. Mayhem wanted to ask Celestia about her nightmare last night, but she wasn’t sure if she would have an answer. She would ask cursor for his advice but he doesn’t know about this. "Um, Celestia. Can I talk to you for a moment?" Mayhem asked she nodded towards Cursor. He smiled and walked outside the room. Celestia looked down to Mayhem with a slight look of concern. "What is it my dear?" Celestia asked. Mayhem looked up at the stained glass window where it had Twilight and her friends using their harmony stones on Discord. "Who exactly is Discord?" Mayhem asked as she turned around to see Celestia attempting to not answer that question. Mayhem pleaded with her eyes for an answer and Celestia gave in. "Discord is a draconequus, a creature made up of all sorts of animals in the world. He is also known as the lord of Chaos. Back before the problems of me and my sister we imprisoned him in stone to save Equestria from his chaotic wrath. But then He got out of that statue hold and continued. That’s when Twilight and her friends imprisoned him again. Recently he actually has been staying with Fluttershy as a reformation tactic and since then we haven’t had any problems from him. Why do you ask about him?" Celestia asked as she walked Mayhem through the room looking at the discord related windows. Mayhem bit her lip and then looked up at the glass with discord and the 6 ponies. "Well he kind of showed up in my dream last night. I was having a nice dream about my father, when suddenly half of my father’s body turned into discord. I don’t understand what it means." Mayhem looked up to Celestia and was a little scared. Celestia then walked off and up the stairs to her throne. "I am not sure how to answer that, Luna is probably the one you want to talk to about dream related stuff. I have never heard of Discord going through anyone's dreams before, and if so why you. He shouldn’t know about who you are right?" Celestia had to think about this a little bit. It was tough on her. She told Mayhem she would talk to Luna about it and once they have an answer they would tell her right away.
Mayhem and Cursor walked through the halls of the Castle together not speaking a word. Before they knew it the day was almost over. They didn’t really do much since Mayhem didn’t need to go to pony Ville nor could leave the Castle at all today. When Mayhem and Cursor made it back to her room Luna stood outside the door waiting. "Oh Luna, uh how can I help you?" Mayhem asked as she bowed slightly to Luna. "Celestia told me about your dream problem. I think I have a solution." Luna said as she stood there in her normal proud and tall stance. Cursor was confused since he didnt hear the conversation between Celestia and Mayhem. "I am going to visit your mind tonight to see if it happens again. If it does then we might have to go and talk to the source itself." Luna smiled a bit when she spoke. Mayhem liked to see Luna smile but this was not a situation to smile. Mayhem nodded and then they watched as Luna left them there in the hall. Cursor looked at Mayhem confused a bit. "Come let’s go and watch the moon rise out in the courtyard." Mayhem said and smiled slightly at Cursor.
Outside Mayhem sat on the grass and sighed. She still can’t get enough of the moon rising at night. Cursor sat next to her and half watched the moon and half watched Mayhem. Her face lighting up brought a big goofy smile across his face. "You know, I notice you don’t wear your helmet anymore. Good choice, you look better without it anyways." Mayhem slowly looked towards him at that last comment and smiled. Cursor's heart skipped a beat for a little bit and he understood why he was so happy to have this position. His face started to turn red as he saw her smile. "You know Cursor. I like having you as my guard, you’re so very nice and super sweet!" She was just inching him closer to just wanting to pounce on her and kiss her. He tried his best to restrain himself from doing that because he didn’t know if she liked him or not. He tried the old move of stretching his wings and placing one on her back. She either didn’t notice or didn’t mind.
"Hey there guys." A voice boomed through the courtyard and made both Mayhem and Cursor jump. Choco came walking up to them. Mayhem then smiled and stood up. Cursor took a few seconds and then stood up too following Mayhem and his brother out of the courtyard and towards the Castle doors. "Alright so I will see you in the morning Mayhem, brother." Cursor smiled and bowed to mayhem and nodded to his brother. The walk away was a little tough on Cursor because he really wanted to talk more to Mayhem and try to understand her more then he already knows. But duty calls and he had to end his shift.
After Cursor left Mayhem went into her room and said goodnight to Choco. "Oh by the way Mayhem, Princess Luna filled me in on your nightmare problem." Choco said as she slowly shut the door.
That night Mayhem's dream was sweet. She was in a small house. Inside was a lit fire place and the Black Stallion who is her father. Mayhem was a filly again and was covered in bruises and mud. When her father noticed her, he ran to her and looked her over. "What happened to you?" He asked as he pulled her into a hug. "Some of the kids at school beat me up." Mayhem said with sobs showing in her words. Tears fell down her little face as she looked up into her father’s yellow eyes. He rested his forehead against hers and then nodded up stairs. "Let’s go get you cleaned up ok baby." He smiled as they went to the bathroom and started to scrub all the dirt off and bandaged her bruises.
The two of them then played together in front of the fire and Mayhem curled up against her father and he held his wing over her body. She looked up to her father and smiled as he lowered his head and kissed her forehead. "You my wonderful daughter, are the most precious thing I have. Nothing is more important then you." He smiled and that’s when mayhem was least expecting the bad part to start. Again half of her father’s body turned into a blurry Discord. She screamed and backed up running into Luna. "Luna, what are you doing here?" Mayhem said. Luna had frozen Mayhem's dream and just stared into the eyes of the half horse half discord creature on the floor. "Funny, this is not the same discord as we see today. He looks like a younger version of Discord." Luna was really puzzled. She was not sure how to explain this one since this doesn’t seem like something discord would do. He doesn’t seem like the one to manipulate someone’s old memories and put himself like this. "Looks like we might have to talk to Discord himself. This doesn’t seem to be something he would normally do." Luna was still confused. She then disappeared and left Mayhem there still in her dream staring at the frozen half discord figure on the floor. She started to cry and worry about what could happen.

Chapter 5: Chaos and Confusion!
Luna and Mayhem walked down the hall towards the train station. They were going to take a trip to Pony Ville to have a little talk with Discord to see if he knows what is going on with Mayhem's dreams and if he is getting into her mind. Luna was focused because she never knew stuff like this could be done by Discord himself. But at least they were prepared for any answer.
As Luna and Mayhem were about to step onto the train Cursor ran out of the Castle and skidded to a stop right behind Mayhem, almost bumping into her. Mayhem turns around and looks at Cursor with slight concern. "What is it Cursor?" Cursor was taking a moment to catch his breath since he ran all the way from the main hall of the Castle. He looked up into the eyes of the still confused Mayhem and then took one final breath before he spoke. "Princess Celestia asked me to come with you two, just in case your trip got too out of control." Cursor was still breathing heavily within his words. Mayhem smiles and walks with him onto the train. Suddenly cursor digs through his armor and pulls out something red. "You forgot your cloak in your room by the way. Wouldn't want to take a trip to Pony Ville and get found out now would you." Cursor smiled and handed her the cloak. Mayhem giggled and thought how cute it was that he cared so much. She put on the cloak and smiled over at Cursor. Luna watched how the two of them acted with each other and it made her smile.
When they got to Pony Ville they were greeted by a very concerned Twilight. Luna seemed surprised to see her standing there. "Celestia sent me a message saying you guys were visiting for a special reason, so I came as fast as I could." Twilight was very concerned, hoping that their visit wasn't going to be bad. Luna nodded as to she was ok with Twilight helping them as they figure things out. "We need to talk with Discord, can you take us to Fluttershy's cottage please." Luna asked as Mayhem and Cursor stepped off the train. Mayhem's cloak ended up getting snagged onto the edge of the station platform and the train and as it stopped her before she noticed it was slowly uncovering her wings underneath. Cursor noticed and quickly ran behind her and quickly grabbed the part of her cloak that was stuck and pulled it out as the train started to leave. Mayhem looked down and smiled at him as he looked up at her. "Thanks Cursor, almost gave away my secret to other parts of the town." Mayhem smiled and giggled a bit and then fixed her cape. She and Cursor then followed Luna and Twilight out of the train station and into the town.
Everyone in town always seems very friendly. Maybe it was because Princess Luna was here. As they walked through town a few of Twilight's friends joined on the walk asking about what was going on. Luna seemed silent the entire way there and just kept looking straight. Mayhem was worried because it wasn't like this was that serious that Luna had to act like this. Cursor was also looking very strict. He was paying attention to their surroundings and of course doing his job, but he didn't even look when Mayhem was watching him.
When they arrived to Fluttershy's cottage outside was the little yellow Pegasus as she fed the animals she took care of. Mayhem caught a glimpse of the ever free Forrest and swayed a bit to the left to stay away from it. Once Fluttershy noticed the group and smiled and headed towards them. "Well hello there girls, what’s going on?" She always had such a sweet voice, very soothing to the ear. Luna stepped forward and looked down at Fluttershy and tried her best to speak in a calm voice even though she was really angry right now. "Is Discord in today? We would like to speak with him." She gestured to Mayhem at that last part and Mayhem stepped up a little bit. Fluttershy nodded since she knew to never question the princess' motives. Fluttershy went to the door of her cottage and poked her head in calling to Discord. Suddenly he just randomly appeared in front of everyone disregarding the door and making Fluttershy walk back by herself. "How can I help you lovely little ponies today?" Right after Discord said that he noticed Mayhem standing there and slightly cowered away from her. Mayhem noticed and tilted her head a bit in confusion. He seemed to be scared of her in some way, but if he was then why would he be messing with her dreams.
"Discord, do you know how to get into everyone's mind and mess with their memories or even their dreams?" Luna asked as bluntly as possible. Discord averted his eyes away from Mayhem and then went back to his original tricky self. "You see here, dear Luna, I have no idea what you are talking about?" Discords voice was a little uneasy. He sounded like he was hiding something. Mayhem stepped towards him and looked him over a bit. "So if you don't know what we are talking about, then please tell me as to why your face keeps appearing into my dreams when I am remembering the past with my father? But it’s only half of your face. Do you have any idea why this could be happening?" Mayhem was really close to him by now and he was looking down at her as if she was a germy nasty creature and he didn't want to touch her. Suddenly he got an idea on what to say. He leaned down and got in her face. "Maybe you have a secret crush on me, hmm could that be it little missy" Discord chuckles and then he pushes his forehead against Mayhem's. A Small tiny feeling of pain traveled its way into her head and causing her to wince and take a couple steps back a bit. She didn't understand what was happening. Could he have slammed his head a bit too hard against hers or was this another one of his attacks on her?
Cursor suddenly was by her side and was looking her over making sure she was ok. "Oh who is this? Is he your boyfriend? Seems a bit weird that you would be dreaming about me instead of this hunky stallion!" Discord was teasing her again. Mayhem bit her lip and then stomped the ground. She glared at Discord feeling the blood in her veins heat up from her getting angry from the teasing. "Why would I dare to ever dream about an old, cruel and annoying creature like you! I’d have to be insane to do that." Suddenly at that Mayhem was off the ground and in the air in Discords face. He didn't seem at all surprised that she was an Alicorn, his face looked as if he knew it all along. Luna was confused about his lack of reaction to seeing her wings. "Now now dear Mayhem, don't be acting all rash now. You'd hate to show your true self to the whole town now wouldn't you." Discord chuckles and then teleported over to Twilight and her friends. "Isn't it hard to just keep this a secret with your little friends here?" He was pushing it now. Somehow she felt like he knew more than they thought. Mayhem was a little scared of what he did know. "See I don't understand as to why I am showing up in your dreams, unless you are somehow wanting me in them. For all I know this is the only time I have spoken to you." That was a very random note he had to point out. It may be the first time he has spoken to her but he never mentioned first time seeing her. Mayhem felt like she had to ask about that. "Well these dreams didn't start happening until I saw you last time I was here. Are you sure you didn't use your chaotic magic on me?" Mayhem was trying to get the truth out of him but sadly it didn't seem like it was going to work. Discord was just lying in the air as if he was on an invisible couch and picked his teeth with a nail from his claw hand. Discord just shrugged and didn't give an answer.
The whole conversation was going nowhere at all. Mayhem was getting slightly frustrated with him and his actions. Mayhem gave up talking to him and just turned her back to him and plopped her flank on the ground. She couldn't deal with him anymore and wanted to leave, but Luna and twilight still spoke with him, with a bit of Fluttershy's help. Cursor sat next to her but faced the others and randomly looked over to see Mayhem’s expression change. Mayhem could slightly hear their conversation but didn't acknowledge it much. "Discord you must know something. I mean you seemed to want to know allot about her after her first visit here. You must have done something and just forgot." Fluttershy mentioned trying to help him remember. That statement made Mayhem turn her head towards them and give a confused look. "Why were you so interested in me that day?" Mayhem asked as she reentered herself into the conversation. Discord looked a little scared as if someone spilled the beans and gave away his secret. "Oh no, it was nothing. I just was interested in Fluttershy’s new friend a little bit that is all. I don't want my good ol’ friend Fluttershy hanging out with the wrong people now do I?" His attempt to worm his way out of this situation were making mayhem even angrier. "Hey you have some good friends here Mayhem, they are so much better for you then Karma was... I mean." Discord then covered his mouth as if he spoke too much. Suddenly Mayhem's eyes went wide and she quickly turned to him and leaped pouncing onto him slamming him onto the ground. "How do you know about Karma?" Mayhem screamed at him. Cursor tried to grab Mayhem but was pushed back by some invisible force. Suddenly Mayhem's body was engulfed in a purple mist and she growled as she huffed standing over Discord. The fence in front of her head crumbled as if it was crushed by a large hand. Discord looked up at the fence then into the dark now red eyes of Mayhem. He was scared for his life so he teleported away. Mayhem didn't move, she was too angry to even care that he wasn’t there anymore. "Mayhem, please calm down." Cursor yelled to her. Twilight looked over at the very terrified Discord. He coward behind a tree and was staring at the furious and powerful Mayhem. "What did you do to her? What is this power?" Twilight yelled asking discord. He shook his head refusing to answer, as if he knew but couldn't tell anyone. Cursor then got up and tried his best to move closer and closer to Mayhem. "Mayhem stop this at once. I know he mentioned an old friend of yours. But you don’t need to react like this. Your destroying some of Fluttershy’s land please stop." Cursor yelled when he was suddenly thrown back and slammed into a tree. The sound of his pain filled moan sent Mayhem into shock and her heart skipped a beat. Suddenly the mist was gone and she looked up, eyes wide and worried for what she had done. She had been snapped back into reality and she was scared. "What was that?" Twilight asked as she looked over to Luna helping Cursor into his feet. "That might have been her true Alicorn magic. Normally we ponies born as alicorns get it before we earn out cutie mark. It’s like a burst of magic that kind of gives us a hint for what our true abilities are needed for." Luna explained allot of the situation but all Mayhem could do was look at Discord with confusion. Why did this happen, if she was a true Alicorn born pony like Luna said then she must have bad magic in her somewhere.
Suddenly Mayhem scared for her like she ran off and into the Everfree Forrest. "Mayhem, come back!" Twilight called out to her. "You guys go after her, I will stay here just in case she comes back." Luna said as she sat down worried for the poor young Mayhem, scared for her life and running back into the place she knew best and was found many moons ago. Twilight, her friends and Cursor ran into the Forrest and split up to make it easier to find her. Cursor was really determined to find her, even if he was limping a little bit. When Luna wasn't looking Discord disappeared because he wanted to help them find Mayhem.

Chapter 6: Wait do I love him?
Every pony was in the forest searching and calling out to Mayhem, wondering where she had gone to. She must have been running for a while because in any direction the others went, they couldn’t find her. Cursor had ran straight back finding the last remains of the Castle of the two sisters. He looked up to see Discord flying above and then dive down. He must have found her. Cursor picked up his pace and crossed the bridge to go inside the old castle. As he entered he could hear loud and clear the sobbing coming from Mayhem. He could also hear Discords voice.
"I'm sorry dear Mayhem, I guess I forgot that name was kind of taboo." Discord sounded like he was truly sorry. Cursor slowly peered around the corner to see Mayhem curled up into a ball and Discord on his knees next to her pleading for her to accept his apology. Suddenly the sound of a rock being kicked slightly startled Discord and he disappeared. Cursor must have kicked a rock when he was peering around the corner. Once Discord was gone Cursor took this moment to go over to Mayhem. He placed a hoof under her chin and lifted her head. Mayhem looked up and in her blurry teary eyes she saw Intel, the slight lights from the sun coming down and making him shine like an angle. Mayhem's face turned red as she just now saw how handsome Cursor truly was.
Mayhem didn’t want to stand up she just lowered her head again but looked up at Cursor a bit. He smiled and walked behind her curling himself around her. Mayhem blushed slightly from feeling his warm body against hers as he laid behind her and just cuddled with her. His main intention was to help her calm down and stop crying but somehow other things were going on in his mind. Around the corner Discord stood watching the two of them he had a very pleased and happy expression on his face as if he was proud of them. Mayhem looked up and accidentally brushed noses with Cursor making them both jump a bit and blush a bright red.
Mayhem's heart pounded so loud she was sure that Cursor could hear it. Cursor smiled and then nuzzled his nose against hers again and then just looked right into her eyes. Tears stopped falling down Mayhem's face and her entire face went red. She wasn’t sure of what to do. Was he going to kiss her or just stare into her eyes? Did she have to make the first move or what was going on? Suddenly in her mind she thought to herself 'Wait do I have feelings for Cursor? What is going on?' But without a doubt she saw Cursor slightly lean his head in and their noses touched again. The closer they go to kissing the faster both their hearts started to beat.
Suddenly Twilights voice was heard and suddenly the both of them looked away from each other and Cursor stood up taking a few steps away from Mayhem. She looked down at the ground with her hoof on her heart unsure of what almost happened. She looked over at Cursor who was trying to act like nothing happened. Twilight and the others then came into view and stopped when they saw Mayhem and Cursor. They were all out of breath due to running and searching for Mayhem in the forest. Discord still stood in the shadows away from everyone but still where he could view what was going on. His expression still showed the look of being proud, but this time he had tear in his eyes. Was he actually rooting for Mayhem and Cursor to kiss right there?
"Are you ok Mayhem?" Twilight asked as she walked up to her. Mayhem nodded and stood up and walked over to the girls. "Yeah, sorry about that episode. Just so much about my past was pushed into all my anger against Discord. I have no idea where that power came from but I have a feeling it’s not a good power I should have." Mayhem seemed very scared of herself at this point like she didn’t know what she was or if she was supposed to be a good Alicorn with how much power she had. All of them seemed to accept her though, even with her small flaw. She was happy to have friends like these girls.
They all walked back to Fluttershy's cottage to see Luna talking to Discord and Fluttershy was there too. She must have ran back at some point to tell Luna they found Mayhem. Discord was apologizing to Fluttershy and asking if there was something he could do to repay her for the damage he basically caused. For the lord of chaos he sure seems to have a soft heart for Fluttershy. Discord was the first to notice Mayhem and he teleported to her and held out his paw and shyly smiled. "I am very sorry for the pain I have caused you dear Mayhem. Can we try to start this over?" He really seemed like he wanted to try this all again. He was very sincere and not in his joking kind of way he naturally is. Mayhem then smiled and placed her hoof in his paw and shook it. "I accept your apology discord. But it still doesn’t really explain why I have been seeing you in my dreams." Mayhem still wanted to figure out what was going on about that. Luna walked over and placed her wing over Mayhem. "It’s ok, We might have to see if it happens any more to know for sure what is going on." After that mayhem nodded her head accepting that nothing really came out of this visit except more knowledge about herself.
Randomly Discord held open his arms asking in a silent way if they could hug it out. Mayhem smiled and rolled her eyes and just gave him a hug. Discord smiled and moved his mouth to her ear and whispered "Remember" silently. Mayhem’s expression snapped to confused really quick as she didn’t understand why he would whisper that in her ear.
After their visit to Pony Ville Mayhem and Cursor seemed a little distant from each other. The whole almost kissing at the old broken castle really made them unsure about each other. Mayhem got a chance to catch a few glances towards Cursor that was until Luna came over and sat next to her. "So Mayhem, I think we might have to do some special personal training for you instead of your normal magic classes with Twilight. Now that your Alicorn magic has awoken, my sister and I might have to give you special Alicorn magic lessons, but it won’t be easy." Luna was not joking. Mayhem even felt like she was threatening her own life by existing with how much power she reviled that moment.
Suddenly a piercing pain ran through Mayhem's head causing her to wince in pain and hunch over in her seat. Cursor quickly jumped off his seat and over to her to make sure she was ok. "Mayhem, what’s wrong?" Cursor asked sounding a little scared. Mayhem looked up smiling and one eye closed while holding her forehead. "I'm fine, just a bad headache. I think I might have hurt myself a little bit today." She tried to make Cursor feel better by letting him know, but in Cursors eyes he needed to be by her side. He really worried about her a lot more than a guard was supposed to. Mayhem was really starting to wonder to why she was starting to developed feelings for Cursor, it was just suddenly he seemed to be more to her then just a Guard. She stared into his eyes and smiled removing her hoof from her forehead. The pain easing away from her mind. Luna could tell they need some personal time to talk and got up to go sit at the other end of the train car. "Thank you for comforting me back there at the old castle. I probably would and done more damage to that place if you didn’t scare off Discord." She smiled as Cursor sat next to her on the train bench and when they locked eyes both of their faces turned red. Cursor seemed to be very loyal to her and always wanted to do his best to make sure she was always ok. "It’s my duty to protect you, no matter what." He only said that mainly because it was his job to protect her.\, but she could tell somewhere it his voice it was meant to be more than his intentional job.
Arriving back in Canterlot at the main castle they were greeted by Celestia. She was very anxious to know how the whole conversation went. Luna motioned for Mayhem and Cursor to go on ahead so that she could talk to her sister alone. Celestia and Luna walked off towards the gardens talking and Mayhem watched them as she walked into the Castle with Cursor by her side. Mayhem worried about the situation that Luna was going to talk about... She was really scared that Celestia might not want her to live in the castle anymore if she is going to be a threat. Mayhem accidentally bumped into something and when she looked up at it she saw the back end of Cursor. She blushed and wondered why he stopped. She looked around him and saw Choco with a pony that had a dark grey coat and grey and black mane and tail. She was one of the works of this castle so she already knew about Mayhem and who she was. "Seems my brother has found a girl for himself. Good for him!" Cursor chuckled and then looked back at Mayhem and smiled. "He is one lucky guy to find some huh?" Was Cursor hinting at her for something? Choco noticed Mayhem and Cursor and smiled waving at them to come over. "Hey guys, have you met Rose?" He gestured to the dark grey pony and she smiled back at them. Mayhem has seen her a few times around before but never knew her name. The four of them talked all the way to Mayhem's bedroom in time for the sun to start setting. "Well Rose, I am sorry to cut this day short but I have to work. See you tomorrow same time?" Choco smiled at rose and she nodded and gave him a hug before she walked off. Mayhem looked over at Cursor and then looked at the floor. "Um... cursor. DO you mind if we talk before you have to leave?" Mayhem asked, she was slightly nervous and wasn’t sure what he was going to do. "Sure!" He followed her into the room and was a little curious about what they were going to talk about. Mayhem looked into his eyes and had a slight concerning expression on her face. "So you know about what happened at the old castle?" Mayhem did seem a little concerned about the two of them and who they were to each other. Cursor took a moment to think and then smiled. "Yeah when I helped you out and talked to you." He was a little dense right now, worse than usual. Mayhem blushed a bit and then looked at Cursor straight in the eyes. "After that, when you comforted me and we almost... you know." She seemed very embarrassed to talk about this. Her face was bright red and her heart started to beat really fast. Cursor walked over to her and smiled placing his hoof under her chin and raising her head. "Are you embarrassed that we almost kissed? Its ok, I was a little scared at first too. But you don’t have to be." Cursor was talking with his calm voice again which made Mayhem smile and nod her head. Something in her mind just screamed at her to just kiss him, but she wasn’t sure how he felt about it. But without a second thought she went in. Pressing her lips against his she stole a kiss from him and officially had her first kiss with anyone. He seemed to accept the kiss and she could even feel his smile form at the corners of his mouth. Mayhem twisted her head a bit so she could deepen the kiss and she felt those sparks she always reads about in those random books she reads when she has nothing else to do.
Suddenly someone knocks on the door and it makes both Cursor and Mayhem Jump. The door opens and Choco is on the other side. "Brother your shift is over, you can go home now." Choco smiled and since he didn’t know what was going on he just left the door open and went back to his post. Mayhem giggled and then game Cursor a small pack onto he cheek before he walked out of the room. That was one crazy day they all had, and mayhem did not regret it at all. Mayhem went to her little desk and grab herself one of her books while taking it to bed.
While Mayhem sat on her bed reading, little did she know that Discord had been outside her window the whole time watching? He witnessed everything that happened and it was very strange for him to seem like a stalker. Why would discord be stalking Mayhem like this?

Chapter 7: Celestia's Talk!
It was a tough day for Mayhem. She was to learn a little Alicorn magic with Celestia today. Cursor told her she had to meet her in the Castle Library. She slowly walked down the hall past the stained glass windows that told the tale of Equestria. She looked up at each one smiling and admiring them. Cursor smiled at her face and enjoyed her smiling face and how happy she was. When they passed the ones that had to deal with Discord, something seemed different. The eyes on all the stained glass windows that had discord on them moved and followed Mayhem as she walked. At first she didn’t notice it but once they got to the one of Celestia and Luna turning Discord into stone she saw the eyes slowly move. She shook her head and then looked up as the eyes went back to normal. “Did, did you see that?” Mayhem asked Cursor. He looked up and then shook his head as he looked back at Mayhem. “I didn’t see anything, what is it? Is there a crack in the glass?” He was as confused as she was. Before leaving the hall Mayhem took one more look up at the stained glass into the eyes of the image of Discord.
After making it to the library, she saw Celestia standing there at a table with a few books on top of it. At first Celestia didn’t notice Mayhem walk in but when Mayhem accidentally kicked a book Celestia’s head shot up as if someone caught her doing something she wasn’t supposed to. She closed the book she was looking at and smiled. “Welcome Mayhem, ready for some Alicorn Magic training?” Celestia smiled and pointed to the seat on the other side of the table she sat at. Mayhem looks at Cursor and he lightly nods and stands at the door. Mayhem goes to sit across from celestia and got started on reading. “First we will learn control, then go into figuring out what your true alicorn magic is meant for!” Celestia pushed a book towards Mayhem and smiled. She didn’t understand what Celestia meant by ‘true Alicorn Magic’ and what hers was meant for.
The whole lesson went a little out of control. Mayhem was scared she couldn’t control her magic and then do something bad. She didn’t want to hurt anyone. Celestia seemed to act a little too kind to her, as if she was afraid of mayhem too. During the whole lesson Mayhem heard a faint voice in her head. It spoke words in a voice she recognized but couldn’t put a name to them. The words she heard sometimes broke her concentration causing her to mess up her magic or forget where she was in her book. When the lesson was over she saw a bright light over in a far side of the library. “Mayhem is everything alright?” Celestia asked concerned about the curious look upon mayhem’s face. She looked up to Celestia and nodded. “Yeah, I’m just going to grab a few books to take back to my room to read later tonight.” She smiled and walked back to the lit up area. In the back were books written from days back from thousands of years ago. She went down the line and read the spines. Stories about changelings, some about ancient animals that use to roam this land and then the last few books that caught her eye were about Discord. One in particular was glowing. She picked the book off the shelf looking it over. The cover was designed like Discords body. It read ‘History of Discord’ on it. Seemed to be one of those books that magically write itself as things happen in his life. Like an auto autobiography I guess you can call it. Mayhem placed it on the floor and read the words inside. It was quite a big book for the life of a very popular creature. But something in the beginning of this book seemed familiar. There was a photo of a Black stallion with a golden yellow mane in the front of the book. Cursor came around the corner and knocked on the side of the shelves. “Come on Mayhem, Your lesson is over we have to leave now.” He informed her. Mayhem closed the book and grabbed a few more of the Discord books off the shelf and followed him to the table where her saddle bag sat and she placed the books in her bag and on her back.
The one thing that was stuck in her mind all day was why was a photo of her father in a book about Discord. Do they have some kind of connection? She knew that she heard that Alicorns can live forever but if her father and Discord have some kind of connection then that means she might have some kind of connection to him in some way. She really had to read more into that book. Mayhem and Cursor walked down the main hall again and Mayhem couldn’t help but stare at the Discord stain glass windows again. She seemed to be interested in the subject of his character, for who he was and why he seemed to pop up in her life a lot since the first day she met him.
Cursor and Mayhem went outside into the Flower garden and sat together on the bench. Mayhem looked into the sky and saw where the Wonderbolts practiced. She watched as they all looped in the sky making random shaped and spelling out Wonderbolts in the air. Mayhem watch in awe as cursor watched her and her big smile as it formed across her face. He always loved to see her smile, it was like watching a child receive its favorite thing for the first time. Cursor slowly stretched his wing over Mayhem's back and looked up into the sky. She slightly flinched from the touch of his wing and looked over at him. The setting sun shined upon him and made him glow in a way that turned Mayhem's face a bright red.
After the Wonderbolts were done practicing Cursor looked down at Mayhem and smiled at her. A chuckle escaped his mouth as he noticed her red face. Mayhem looked away embarrassed and then looked back up to him through her mane. Cursor nuzzled her and chuckled a bit. A tiny giggle was heard from Mayhem and that put a big smile upon Cursors face. He then slowly moved in closing his eyes as his face got close to hers. Mayhem's heart started to race as she moved in closer to him. The moment their lips were an inch apart that is when Mayhem turned away and shook her head. "I... I can’t Cursor, I am so sorry." Mayhem whispered to him. Cursor looked at her slightly confused. He didn’t know if this was a good thing or bad. "What do you mean Mayhem?" He tilted his head and tried to look at her face. She looked up at the castle towards the room that Celestia resides in. She then looked down and away from cursor again. "If Celestia finds out about us then you could get in trouble, and I might never be able to see you again." She shook her head as she looked up into his eyes. She could tell he understood well because the gleam in his eyes showed that he cared deeply about her. He gave her one last nuzzle before they both got up and started to walk off back into the castle.
The rest of that night was slightly silent, Mayhem didn’t know the right words to say to him after what happened in the garden. She was scared of losing him and scared of what could happen if she had let him continue earlier. As Mayhem and Cursor walked down the hall towards her room, one of Celestia's guards came walking towards them. "Miss Mayhem, Celestia has sent me to come get you, she has some amazing news to tell you!" The guard smiled as he turned and gestured in the direction of the great hall. Mayhem started walking forward and Cursor followed behind her. The guard stopped Cursor for a second and gave him a look. Mayhem stopped and looked back. "What’s wrong?" Mayhem asked as she looked back at the guard who stopped cursor. "Celestia has requested that you stay outside the room when she speaks with Miss Mayhem." The guard stated and it made Mayhem slightly confused, but she never questioned Celestia's ways. It kind of made her wonder if Celestia happened to see what they did in the garden. She was slightly worried. The guard then continued down the hall and Mayhem followed her head slightly down low. Cursor followed after and slightly tried to read Mayhem's emotions.
When they got to the main hall the guard led Mayhem in through the door. Cursor nodded to her and smiled giving her a warm feeling in hopes this talk wasn’t going to be bad. Mayhem walks in and the door behind her was shut. "Welcome Mayhem!" Celestia greeted her making Mayhem turn her heard around quick. The smile upon Celestia's face was calming. Mayhem took a few steps forward and then bowed at the end of the steps up to her throne. "Oh no need to do that Mayhem." She giggled in her words and then went down the steps to stand next to Mayhem.
"See Mayhem, I have really good news!" Celestia had an upbeat tone and really did seem happy. Mayhem smiled and looked up into the eyes of her mentor and someone who was like a mother to her. Celestia smiled and took a few steps towards the stain glass windows. She walked up to the one that spoke about twilight’s transformation to princess. "So Luna and I have done some thinking and we would like to ask you of one thing." As Celestia spoke Luna walked into the great hall from her side of the back wall. Luna smiled and walked up to them and she nodded her head at both of them in a slight way to greet the both of them. "Have you told her yet?" Luna asked as she went to stand next to her sister. Celestia slightly shook her head and looked over to Luna. "I was just about to tell her." Celestia spoke with a calm tone that had a slight bit of cheer in it. Mayhem smiled and was a bit confused on the subject a bit. "Mayhem, you have been living with us for many years and we both have seen you grow from a cute little filly to a beautiful mare. We think it’s about time to announce you to the world at your own personal Alicorination!" Celestia tilted her head a bit smiling after she spoke. Luna nodded and then looked over to Mayhem for her reaction. A slight bit of shock grew over Mayhem's body and then she started to feel happy. "Me, an Alicorn princess. Is that even necessary?" Mayhem was really shocked but also very happy with herself. Celestia and Luna both nodded in agreement and smiled down at Mayhem. "We will plan the whole thing for you and all you have to do is continue your Alicorn magic studies for another few months. It won’t happen right away but it will surely happen soon." Celestia smiled and giggled at the light glow that formed across Mayhem's face. She was very excited that she could be allowed to go out into town without having to hide who she is and that she will actually be acknowledged as alive. Suddenly Luna took a few steps forward and had a very stern look on her face. "But tell no one of this alright. That is why your personal guard was asked to stay outside of the main hall so we could only let you know. We will announce it all at this year’s Grand Galloping Gala in only 3 months. Please don’t tell anyone of this alright." Luna spoke as if it was going to destroy the world if she told anyone, but Mayhem did what she was supposed to and nodded her head. She understood that if she was told it were to be kept a secret that she should do so. She was just slightly sad that she couldn’t tell Cursor.
After the talk about the whole Alicorination with Celestia and Luna, Mayhem left the main hall and joined up with Cursor again. "So ready to go back to your room?" Cursor asked with a smile. He didn’t really seem eager to know what went on in the room, he understood his bounders and didn’t bother asking. The two of them walked in silence back to Mayhem's room where they were slightly surprised to not see Choco outside of the room already. Cursor opened the door motioning for Mayhem to go inside. After them both walked inside Mayhem suddenly jumped onto Cursor hugging him and giggling. "I’ve been waiting all day to do that." She giggled through her words as her heart started to speed up. "It sucks that we have to hide how we feel about each other from everyone." Cursor smiled as he lifted her face and kissed her. Her face turned bright red and she smiled kissing him back. She felt bad for having to hide it all but she didn’t want him to get fired and she didn’t want to lose him at all. "Cursor, do you mind maybe... staying with me tonight?" She looked into his eyes and smiled nervously. She wasn’t sure what his answer was going to be but she didn’t want him to say no. Cursor smiled and nuzzled Mayhem as he led her to her bed. "Sure I will. Now get in bed." Cursor smiled as the two of them got in the bed. Mayhem smiled as she nuzzled up to Cursor resting her head into his neck as he laid his front leg over her side. "You are very warm Cursor." She giggled as cursor kissed her forehead and the two of them laid together and fell asleep.
Mayhem actually was really surprised to go to bed in an amazing mood. She had amazing news about her own Alicorination and she gets to spend the night with the one pony she truly loved! She hoped for the best to come soon!

Chapter 8: No i dont want it!
"Me? Princess? I don't understand?!"
Mayhem was in a really good mood and she had the greatest friends and good enough to call family by her side to help her be in a good mood. But for a couple weeks the Alicorination had been stuck on Mayhem's mind, She was very nervous about it and she was slightly scared of the outcome. She didn't know any pony else in this world except those in the castle and Twilight and her friends. She also wasn't really sure of the title "princess" added to her name. What exactly would she be princess of, what exactly was her purpose in this world. Her head spun on the subject. She couldn't even focus on her studies. Her heart was set on this subject and it was hard to understand properly.
Cursor worried about her since she seemed to always be in her own little world. He was very confused about it all and he wanted to speak to her alone tonight. For the past few weeks Cursor had spent every night with Mayhem and they became closer as a couple.
When Cursor and Mayhem made it to her room she sat on a chair at a table and placed her books in the order they need to be in. "Mayhem, are you doing OK? You have been acting strange all week." Cursor looked up at her trying to look at her face. She shook her head back into reality and then looked over to him and smiled. "Yeah, just thinking about some stuff. Nothing too personal." She half smiled and then got up to go to her bed. Cursor shrugged his shoulders as he walked up to her and smiled as he rested his head on the edge of the bed. "You know, you are very beautiful when you are laying down and the moon light shines directly on you." Cursor smiled and it made Mayhem's face turn red. He chuckled at her cute reaction and then continued onto the bed. He kissed her forehead and then nuzzled up next to her. She nuzzled into his neck and giggled. "You know, i love cuddling with you in bed. Its really warm up next to you!" Mayhem smiled and her heart started to beat faster. Cursor tightened his grip around Mayhem and smiled.
A lot of stuff started going on in Mayhem's mind that she really didn't want to think about at this moment. Her mind started to wander into thinking of the Alicorination. She was worried. Was she really ready for this? To be a princess, to maybe even rule something. What would she rule. Like Celestia has all of Equestira with Luna by her side. Cadence has the Crystal Kingdom and Twilight has Pony Ville. She isn't even sure what she would be the ruler of, let alone why she would be a good princess.
Mayhem jumped out of bed almost hitting cursor in the face and her landed onto the floor speeding her way to the door. "Where are you going?" Cursor called as he raised himself from Mayhem's bed. Mayhem didn't stop to answer, she flung the door open and dashed into the hall. Cursor got up quickly and followed her. "Mayhem, please come back!" Cursor called to her again, speeding up to catch her. Mayhem had somewhere to go and she wasn't going to stop until she got there. Cursor took flight into the air of the hall trying to catch up with Mayhem. Her horn lit up and her speed quickened and down he hall she went.
Mayhem made it to the place she was going. She skidded to a halt and caught her breath. Her chest grew and shrank as her breath deepened and she glared at the door. Cursor caught up with her and stopped as he saw the deep glare. He looked up at the door, it was the main hall door. Before cursor could utter a sound Mayhem kicked the door open and barged in. "Princess Celestia I must spea..." Mayhem stopped in her tracks when she heard "How could you not have told me about this before making the plans?" There he stood, Discord half hunched over and looking straight into the eyes of Celestia. Celestia looked like she had just finished making her argument valid with Discord. Her eyes were staring right into his. But when Mayhem barged in they looked up at her and Discord's eyes grew wide but he shook that off and cleared his throat. Celestia looked at Mayhem and gave her that 'you shouldn't be here' look. "Oh uh Mayhem, you shouldn't barge into rooms like that." Celestia walked down the steps towards Mayhem. Discord gave Celestia a confused look then backed up a bit and gave both Mayhem and Celestia their space. "Please Celestia, I just had to come and tell you. I cant go through with the Alicorination. I'm not ready, and I don't think I ever will be." Mayhem pleaded. Celestia almost looked back at Discord but stopped and looked right into Mayhem's eyes. "Can we please talk more about this tomorrow morning during your lessons?" Celestia was more demanding then asking. Mayhem shook her head, she didn't want to wait. Waiting meant thinking more about the situation. "No, I cant! Its too difficult for me to wait!" Mayhem's voice got louder. Celestia flinched and her eyes were wide. "I cant just allow this to happen Celestia. I don't want to have a set date for my Alicorination. I wanna make sure I am ready before we prepare for this really unneeded party." Mayhem just continued to plead more and more. She went on and on about how this was something they should have spoke about before plans were made. She also Couldn't help but notice the inching ear appear behind Celestia. Discord was butting into the conversation hovering above Celestia and Mayhem and smiling at the both of them. Mayhem shot a disgusted look up at him and he backed off and got a scared look on his face like his heart broke. Discord poofed away and went back to the thrones. Celestia took a deep breath and looked back at Mayhem. "Alright the whole thing is canceled. We will talk more about this in the morning. Now please go back to your room and go to sleep!" Celestia smiled and nodded towards the door where Cursor slightly peered out from the side. Mayhem looked guilty, she forgot he was following her. She walked off with her head low a bit scared of what cursor might try to ask her on their way back to her room.
The walk back to her room was quiet, that was until they got to the door. "So what was that about?" Cursor asked silently. Mayhem shook her head and walked into the room. Cursor rolled his eyes and shook his head. "Mayhem talk to me please." Cursor pleaded and followed her. Mayhem walked to her bed and got up on it plopping down on the floor. "I don't want to talk about it. I am tired and I just wanna sleep. You can join me or leave." Mayhem looked over to him a little angry. Cursor just gave in and walked to the bed and joined her. She cuddled up to him and took a deep breath as she closed her eyes to fall asleep. Her last words as she fell asleep were "I just don't want to be a princess"
That next morning Celestia and Mayhem didnt talk about the Alicorination. Celestia seemed a bit worried about somthing else instead. Somthing more important to her. But it was somthing Mayhem did want to know. But her attempts to talk to Celestia did not help at all.

Chapter 9: No memories for this lost filly!
After telling Celestia that she no longer wanted to be a princess, Mayhem paced back and forth outside in the garden. Cursor cautiously waited at the entrance a little scared for Mayhems well being. "I need to take a nice cooling flight." Mayhem mentioned to cursor as she took off into the air without waiting for a reply. Cursor shook his head in shock and then took after her. "Mayhem come back here now! You cant go out at this time of day!" Cursor yelled out to her. She didn't look back as she took into the sky. What surprised cursor the most was every cloud that Mayhem past turned pink. He raised an eyebrow at them as he swerved around each fluffy pink cloud almost getting stuck in one. He tried flying through one but his tail got stuck in the sticky cotton candy cloud. After he got it out he looked around and Mayhem was nowhere to be seen. "Mayhem!?! Mayhem!?! Where are you?" He called out to her but she was nowhere to be seen. Cursor searched the skies until he saw a messy black tail popping out of a puffy pink cloud. Cursor chuckled as he flew over to the cloud. "Mayhem, please come out of there. For me!" He smiled as Mayhem poked her head out of the cloud. She noticed all the pink clouds coming from canterlot and her eyes grew wide. "Did... I do that?" She covered her face with her hooves and shook her head. Cursor placed his hoof on her back and smiled down at her. "Its ok, you were just not in the right mood while you were running away. Though these clouds remind me of someone else's magic." He chuckled and then lightly stood on the cloud next to mayhem smiling down to her. She blushed as she looked down below the cloud. Below them was the Everfree forest. "Oh hey look. My old home!" Mayhem smiled as she shot down off the cloud. Cursor followed her and seemed a little curious about what was going on. Mayhem landed on the cold ground of the old castle she use to live in. She looked around and then found the corner where she use to sleep in. The old tattered blanket she used. "Did I really use to be this tiny?" She picked up the blanket and threw it onto her head just covering the top. She giggled and then her ears perked as she heard the sound of a little filly giggling. She looked around and saw a small filly run away. "Wait, come back here!" Mayhem took off in the general direction right as cursor landed. "Mayhem where are you going?" Cursor followed her and looked more confused then ever. Mayhem ran the halls following the sound of the young filly giggling. Mayhem stopped when she reached a dead end. Cursor stopped behind her and tilted his head. "Whats going on Mayhem?" She looked confused and shook her head searching the dead end. "I followed a little filly and I have no idea where she went?" Mayhem then heard the giggling behind her and spun around to see the small filly standing behind cursor. The little filly looked familiar to mayhem and once they locked eyes the filly took off back to the main hall of the castle.
"So this is where you went Mayhem!" This voice sounded so familiar to Mayhem. When she entered the main hall she saw the Celestia standing there, but her mane was pink. Mayhem was confused on what was going on. She then saw the filly run up to the old celestia. "Sorry miss tia. I was just playing chase with luna!" the little filly said as she came into the moonlight. Her coat was purple and her mane and tail were a messy black. "Wait is that me?" Mayhem said as she took a closer look. Cursor came closer and his eyes went wide. He watched as the younger Celestia and Mayhem stood in front of their eyes. "Sorry sister, We were just having a little fun before we left for canterlot!" A young luna appeared from the shadows. Mayhem watched what seemed to be her memories playing before her. "This must have been the day Celestia and Luna found me. Before Luna became nightmare moon." Mayhem's ears drew back and she felt a bit scared. Cursor placed his nose under her chin and smiled up at her. Mayhem smiled back and then looked up at past her and shook her head. "Miss tia, Do I get my own room when we get to the big castle?" Little Mayhem asked Celestia. Mayhem smiled because she thought it was adorable that she use to call Celestia Miss Tia. "Yes you will my cute little filly!" Young Celestia said while nuzzling filly Mayhem. The castle suddenly started to rumble as pieces broke from the second floor crashing onto the ground of the mane hall. Not noticing if it was the memory or real life. Suddenly Cursor pushes Mayhem out of the way from a rock that dropped from above. Mayhem shook her head and then noticed the rocks were from both he memory and real life. When Young Celestia, Mayhem and Luna left, Cursor grabbed Mayhem's tail and pulled her to somewhere safe. "Are you ok Mayhem?" Cursor asked a little worried about her. She nodded her head and smiled, leaning in towards cursor. She was going to kiss his cheek when a rock fell in between the two of them. A second one fell and landed on the top of Mayhem's head knocking her out. "Mayhem!" Cursor called out as he grabbed her and placed her on his back.
Cursor flew off into the air and back towards canterlot castle. Cursor's heart beat strong and fast as he raced back home. Mayhem past out on his back. Tears formed in his eyes as he got closer to canterlot. Celestia met him at the front entrance. "Where have you guys been?" Celestia asked ash cursor landed passing her and heading straight for Mayhems room. "Mayhem needed some fresh air and we ended up at the old castle in the Everfree Forrest." Cursor explained as he hurried down the halls and to her room. Once Choco saw Cursor carrying Mayhem he opened the door and cursor rushed in. Celestia assisted to placing Mayhem on her bed. "So explain why she is passed out, please?!" Celestia asked as she sat beside Mayhems bed. Cursor grabbed a bucket filled with water and a cloth and placed the wet cloth on Mayhems forehead. "The castle was starting to fall apart. A rock fell and hit her in the head." Cursor explained as he looked up to celestia slightly scared. "We also kind of witnessed an old memory of hers from the day you and luna found her." Cursor's ears slid back and he looked back to Mayhem who made a slight noise. Cursor motioned to Choco to stay on the other side of the door as he grabbed the cloth and placed it in the water and then back on her forehead. "So you witnessed an old memory of hers?" Celestia asked as she looked at Mayhems face. "Yes and when Mayhem flew away she was turning the clouds into pink Cotton candy clouds, like discord did that one time!" Cursor's voice shook as he spoke of discords name. Celestia gasped and covered her mouth with her hoof. "Oh my, this is worse then I thought!" Celestia then walked to the books on Mayhems table really worried. "What are you talking about Princess?" Cursor asked as he walked towards Celestia. Celestia turned around and looked down into his eyes. "Her true magic is starting to come out with her emotions. Her bad magic that we have been trying to teach her to contain and never use." Celestia gave cursor a book that had a photo of Discord on the cover. She opened the book to the section that spoke of how Discord came to start using his chaotic magic and a sad look came across her face. "I gave Mayhem this book to read in hopes it would help her learn to not become something like Discord. Mayhem has alot of chaotic magic in her and Luna and I are trying our best to keep that in and bottled up. The more she gets frustrated when everything, the more it starts to come out and get used. We don't want another mishap like at fluttershy's cottage!" Celestia looked over to Mayhem who was laying perfectly still.
In the morning after the sun raised into the sky Celestia walks into Mayhems room to see Cursor still sitting at her bedside. Cursor's head was laying on the bed close to Mayhem's face. Mayhem slowly opened her eyes and shook her head as she sat up. "What? What happened?" She asked with major confusion and a splitting headache. "Oh good you are awake mayhem!" Celestia sighed in relief as she rushed to the side of Mayhems bed. "Oh hello Celestia, what is on our schedule for learning today?" Mayhem asked with a smile and and a slight tilt of the head. Celestia seemed a bit confused, what was going on? Mayhem looked down at Cursor and slightly flinched. "Who... WHo is this?" She asked, the sound of a little fright in her voice. Cursor woke up and smiled. "Mayhem, your awake. Thank goodness!" He hugged her but Mayhem pushed him off. She looked at him with disgust and got up off her bed and walked to her table. "I have no idea who you are, you have no right to hug me!" Mayhem hissed in her words and placed her books in her saddle bag and just left the room. Cursor was in so much shock he couldn't look away from a spot on Mayhems bed. "Did... did she forget about me?" Cursor barely got the words out. He couldn't believe that the one mare he loved forgot about him. "That rock that fell on her head must have given her temporary amnesia, but how much of her memory did she loose?" Celestia was a little scared of the outcome. She walked to the table and noticed Mayhem left the Discord book. "Cursor I'm going to go talk with Twilight about something. You stay here and make sure Mayhem doesn't get into any trouble. Also try to figure out how much of her memory she lost." Celestia ran out of the room and down the hall towards the entrance of the castle. Cursor was still shocked, but he shook his head and stood tall. "If she cant remember, I will just help her remember!" Cursor smiled and headed off towards Mayhem.

Chapter 10: Cursors assignment!
With Celestia gone to Ponyville to get help from Twilight. Cursor had to try his best to seem like a normal guard for Mayhem. Cursor caught up with Mayhem as she walked to the Library. "Good Morning Princess Mayhem!" Cursor spoke holding down how he truly feels at the moment. Mayhem turned to him and tilted her head in confusion. "Um... not to be rude, but who are you?" Mayhem gave a small smile but still gave the confused look. Cursor bit back what he really wanted to say and smiled as he bowed to her. "I am the day guard Princess Celestia has assigned to you! I was told you were awake so I came as fast as I could!" Cursor looked up and slightly smiled. Mayhem smiled and then turned around and shook her head towards the library. "Alright, if you say so! Come on, lets go to the library!" Mayhem headed towards the big doors and trotted away. Mayhem walked in and sat at a table in the middle of the room. Cursor stood on the inside of the room. Mayhem looked over to cursor and then down at her bag. "Um... Might I ask what your name is?" Mayhem asked with a nervous grin. "The name is Cursor." He smiled and chuckled under his breath. "Ah yes. Cursor do you mind finding a book for me?" Mayhem smiled and waved for him to come join her. Cursor chuckled and went to join her.
After spending a few hours in the Library with Mayhem, Cursor saw out of the corner of his eyes the flowing colorful mane of Celestia. He got up and walked to the door. "Princess Celestia, Twilight! Did you guys figure something out?" Cursor was so eager to get back the memory of the mare he truly loved that he was practically begging. The look on Celestias face did not please Cursor. "I looked in all of my books for help, but I don't think a normal memory spell is going to help. We just need to make sure she doesn't not know she as amnesia." Twilight had a very sad look on her face but she was serious as hell. "In the mean time, we are going to try something ourselves until we can figure out how to help Mayhem!" Celestia smiled as she tried to reassure Cursor since she knew how strong his heart beat for Mayhem. Cursor smiled and then nodded. "I will try my best to not let her know about the situation!" Cursor almost turned around to enter the Library when he noticed Discord pop out from behind Celestia. "What is he doing here?" Cursor asked. Celestia looked back and then giggled. Discord hovered over the bunch as he caught a few glances into the library. "We asked Discord to come along because he might be able to help with the situation!" Celestia smiled and then lowered her head so she was eye level with Cursor. "Please just treat him like any normal guest while he is here, Alright!" She whispered to cursor and then smiled. Twilight walked into the Library to talk with Mayhem before Celestia and discord. Discord landed on the floor in front of cursor looking down at him with that usual ear to ear grin on his face. "Don't fret my dear boy. My daugh..." Celestia elbowed discord in the side. "Erm I mean Dear Mayhem will be back to normal before you even know it!" He gave a thumbs up and then floated into the library next to Celestia. Cursor walked in after and stood by the door.
After the visit Discord didn't float away like he normally would. He stomped out of the library and mumbled some words under his breath. Celestia ran after him while Twilight sat in the library speaking with Mayhem. They both spoke about their fascination with books and about stories they both loved to read. Cursor snuck out of the room in time to catch up with Celestia and Discord. "But she doesn't even have her old memori... Oh hello there Cursor!" Discord quickly changed subjects as Cursor walked up making him quite curious on what Discord was about to say. "So is there any helping Mayhem with Magic?" Cursor asked with a really intense curious tone. Celestia and Discord looked between each other and then both gave a disappointed look. Cursor took a few steps back and then turned around just to walk back to the library with his head hanging low. This was not what he wanted to happen. He was hoping his normal Mayhem would be back to him. Discord patted Cursors back. "Hey I promise she will be better soon! You have my word!" Discord smiled and winked. Cursor wasn't sure if he was telling the truth or just saying that to comfort him. Either way he smiled and nodded back. Discord went back to talk with Celestia as Cursor turned around and walked back into the library. As he turned into the doorway suddenly he bumped into something, and that something was Mayhem. Both went crashing to the floor and papers went everywhere. "Oh, I am so sorry Mayhem, I wasn't looking where I was going." Cursor got up quickly and helped her up. Mayhem nervously smiled and giggled. "Its ok Cursor I was too busy talking with twilight here to see that you were coming into the room. I'm headed to the kitchen anyways for some lunch." Mayhem smiled as she continued down the hall. When she passed Discord she smiled and then a small look of pain crossed her face. She placed her hoof on her forehead and cringed. "Oh Mayhem are you ok?" Cursor rushed to her side making sure she was feeling ok. Mayhem nodded and smiled up at cursor reassuring him that she was ok. "I am fine, just a small headache. Probably from looking at books all morning and not getting something to eat." Mayhem giggle and then started walking towards the kitchen of the castle. Cursor looked back to discord and then turned to watch Mayhem walk away. "I hope you are right Discord. As much as it hurts me to mention it, I am trusting you in hopes you know what you are doing." Cursor walked off following Mayhem down the hall. Discord and Celestia looked between each other and within seconds discord chuckled and scratched the back of his head.
In the kitchen Mayhem stood talking to one of the cooks of course ordering her food. "Yes Miss Mayhem, Once I finish it I will send it straight to your room." The cook smiled and then got to work. Mayhem walked back to the door where Cursor stood. Mayhem smiled and nodded towards the main doors. "Lets go outside to the garden. I could use the fresh air!" Mayhem giggled as she trotted off down the main hall. Cursor smiles and follows her down the hall. After the two of them exited the castle and made it to the garden, cursor stood at the entrance of the garden and watched as Mayhem stretched her wings and walked around. Suddenly somepony out of nowhere took hold of Cursor and pulled him into the bushes. "What the..." Cursor questioned the sudden grab and then noticed a purple hoof over his mouth. It was Mayhem, she seemed very happy to see him but also really anxious to get something out. "Mayhem? But you were just..." Cursor was really confused as he just saw her in the garden. It was impossible that there were two Mayhem's in the area. "Cursor my dear, you must listen to me. This is really important that you must listen to me." The sincere look in her eyes made Cursor understand and he nodded his head. "Ok good. First off before I explain I must do this." Without hesitation Mayhem kissed Cursor and after they released she giggled and blushed a deep dark red. "Sorry. I just had to do that." Mayhem smiled and Cursor just sat there, eyes wide and a blank look on his face. Mayhem smiled and then shook her head remembering why she was there. "Alright, so the reason i am here. I am Mayhem from the future, believe me Its possible, Twilight kinda showed me how. But anyway, I am here to tell you how to solve the problem of my amnesia. Its funny because its a simple way and believe me when I say if you don't do this today its going to take Discord and Celestia MONTHS to figure out and by the time they figure it out, its to late for us." Mayhem looked away noticing that Celestia was walking out of the castle and coming towards the Garden. "Cursor you must listen to me when i say, all it takes is just one simple show of affection to break me from a spell that was put on me. Yes I didn't loose my memories, some love spell was put on me and it only made me forget about you." Mayhem started to glow and she got worried. Cursor was surprised and backed up a little bit. Mayhem placed her hoof on his shoulder. "All it takes is just a little show of affection from you! Please only do it when alone, and don't tell anyone about this alright!" Mayhem's words started to fade as her body disappeared. Cursor took her words to heart and exited the bushes to where no one would see him. He came around to see Celestia talking with Mayhem, Sadly he wanted to talk with Celestia about the situation that Future Mayhem spoke with him about, but she did ask him to not speak of it to anyone until the job was done. He had to plan out what was going to happen. Suddenly discord poped up next to Cursor making him jump and his heart race. "So I have to ask you a small question, Cursor. How much do you love Mayhem?" Discord asked, really curious for some reason. Cursor took it to thought and then looked up at Discord who was smiling and looking down to him. "Well I love her enough to feel confident that we will find a way to help her get her memory back. I don't want to loose her." Cursor looked over to Mayhem who was giggling along with Celestia. A giddy smile crossed cursors face and Discord chuckles. "I can tell that she is in good hooves with you!" Discord chuckled more as he patted Cursors back in an approving matter. Mayhem and Celestia started walking towards Cursor and Discord. "I guess I will see you tomorrow Celestia, I'm headed back to my room since my dinner should be there soon and plus I have alot of studying to do!" Mayhem smiled as she walked off back to the castle. Cursor saluted and then jogged after her. Still going through his mind was when he was going to perform this one act of true love with her. Then a light bulb turned on in his mind. They were going to Mayhems room! Maybe after she was done eating he could try to get her alone in her room and Kiss her before his brother showed up for the Night shift.
Later that evening after Mayhem ate and set the tray outside her door, cursor sat inside the room beside the door quietly thinking of how he was going to attempt this without frightening Mayhem. As cursor was thinking Mayhem looked up and giggled because she saw him pacing the floor. "Why don't you take a rest at walking back and forth and come over here!" Mayhem said patting the seat cushion next to her. Cursor noticed the invite and nodded as he walked over to sit next to her. After he planted his flank on the pillow, his heart started to race. He felt her thigh up against his and jumped a bit. Mayhem giggled and then flipped the page in her book. Cursor looked down at the table and noticed the discord book was still sitting where it was left this morning. Cursor quickly moved over a small bag and placed it over the book. "So what are you studying?" Cursor asked as he looked over to her book. Mayhem smiled as she raised her head pushing her mane out of her face and looking towards Cursor. "I'm reading about magic that can contact creatures if need be, like a dragon if I need it or Cerberus if need be." Mayhem smiled and placed her hoof on the page pointing on the photo of Star Swirled the Bearded standing proud in front of a Large Dragon. She giggled and then turned the page. "This is actually magic that not even Twilight knows! I cant wait to actually put this to the test tomorrow!" Mayhem smiled as she went back to her book. After about half an hour of silence and Cursor fighting on his seat Mayhem looked up and decided to strike up a conversation. "So Cursor. What made you interested in being a Royal Guard?" Mayhem was really curious. Even when Mayhem knew of Cursor she never even asked this question.
The two of them spoke for a few hours, the conversation getting really personal about each other. Cursor was thinking how was he going to show his affection. Cursor and Mayhem were sitting awfully close together that they could feel each others body heat. They were so deep in conversation they didn't even seem to notice. Cursor then looked over and noticed that his face was close to hers. He knew he had to show that bit of affection now or me might loose the love of his life for a long time. His heart started to beat faster as he raised his hoof and placed it on the other side of her face, turning it to bring her attention to him. Her eyes were wide and she wasn't even sure of what was going on. "I'm sorry, but things will be better after. I promise!" Cursor smiled shyly and then slowly leaned in and kissed Mayhem deeply. Her eyes grew wider and she almost pushed him away until she felt like this was a good thing. She slowly closed her eyes and kissed him back, her heart beating fast and her face turning red. After the kiss Mayhem looked deep into Cursors eyes and blinking hard, she was still a bit confused at what was going on. "Well, that was... Something." Mayhem's red face stood out and she just stared at Cursor confused.
Cursor left the room that night a little disappointed. Did Future mayhem forget to mention something or did he not show the right form of affection. His mind was not in the right place, But he knew his heart was.
That night Mayhem tossed and turned in her sleep, her head hurting and sweat pouring from her forehead. Her body started to glow a dark green and purple as she raised onto her hooves her back arching and her crying out in pain. The door to her room opened with choco, Celestia and Discord standing on the other side. "Whats going on?" Celestia asked as she hurried over to Mayhems bedside. Mayhem's wings started to straighten out. "This must be that magic we were talking about. The magic that erased her memory. I just don't know if its getting worse or better." Discord explained as he snapped to the other side of Mayhems bed. Discord reached out and placed his paw on Mayhems back and was suddenly thrown back into the wall. Mayhem screamed and suddenly the colors surrounded her dispersed and her body fell limp back onto the bed. Celestia sat at the side of the bed and leaned over laying her head on Mayhems shoulder as a whimpering dog would. Discord looked down at Mayhem with a sad look on his face. Celestia got up and headed to the door. "I'm going to get a doctor, I will be back. Watch her and let me know if she comes to!" Celestia said as she left the room. Discord snapped in a chair and sat next to Mayhem's bed really worried. He watched over her carefully. Mayhem made slight noises while she was laying there, the only noise that discord could understand was one word. "Cursor."

Chapter 11: The search for Cursor!
Down the hall, the sound of hooves stampeding searching the halls of the castle. "Cursor!" Celestia called as they searched the halls. Choco told them he didn't go home because since him and Mayhem were an item there was no need for him to live at his old house anymore. The castle was his home now, so they looked high and low for him. Everyone looked for him, Celestia, luna, guards and even discord. They all met in the main hall, all breathing heavily. "Did anyone find him?" Celestia asked as she tried to catch her breath. All they did was shake their head no. Suddenly a unicorn guard rushed in and skidded to a stop behind Celestia. "Princess Celestia, Princess Celestia! One of the Maid staff members said they saw Cursor leave the castle in tears and fly off. After that no one knows where he went!" The guard caught his breath between every other word and then looked up and saluted to celestia. "Alright Tell all the Pegasus guards to go search the sky and the unicorn guards to search the ground. I will go and send a letter to Twilight in Pony Ville to look for him there. Discord please go and look after Mayhem, I think she would like to see a happy face when she comes to." With all of that said Celestia ran towards some spiral stairs towards the tower her room was in. The guard who came in ran and told all guards in the castle what Celestia ordered. Discord poofed back into Mayhems room and told Choco the news. "I think I have an idea of where to find him." Choco ran out of Mayhems room and left with a certain place in mind and hopes to find Cursor. Discord sat in Mayhems room watching her twist and turn in her sleep and calling out to Cursor between breaths. Something felt as if it was cracking in discord chest, was this the feeling of a small heart break? From the sight he was seeing it must be.
In mayhem's mind she was having small memory like dreams, where old scenes from her past played like a movie. Her life was litterly flashing in her mind. Most of them were just memories of her and her father, but the longer ones were of her and Cursor. Suddenly her heart skipped a beat and she suddenly sprung up out of bed and gasped for air as she placed her hoof over her heart trying to calm it down. She looked around the room looking to find a familiar face. Discord happened to be the last she saw, she sighed with relief that at least someone was here. "How are you feeling?" Discord asked as he stood up and moved closer to the bed. Mayhem put her hoof on her forehead. "I feel bad, but better then before." Mayhem smiled and then stretched her body and wings as she got up out of bed. Her legs stumbled as she started to walk. "Oh should you really be walking?" Discord asked as he rushed to her side. Mayhem lightly pushed discord away and then nodded as she walked to her table. "Where is everyone?" Mayhem asked as she looked behind her at discord floating towards her with his arms crossed. Discord didn't want to answer but he sat next to mayhem and while grabbing a book that was on the table he just went ahead and told her. "Cursor is missing. Everyone has made it their top priority to go look for him." Discord scratched the back of his head. Mayhem stood straight up, slightly wobbling but came to and then headed towards the door to her room. "I have to go find him." Before Mayhem could open the door her body collapsed and she lost all her strength. Discord appeared next to her and picked her up. "I will take you to him, as soon as we find him." Discord had a sad look on his face. Mayhem looked up and into his eyes and then at the door. "Is there someway you can take me to him now? I might have an idea of where he is!" Mayhem placed her hoof on the side of Discords face and smiled once he looked back at her. Discord nods and opens the door to see Celestia there. "Oh Celestia, sorry were you about to come in here?" Discord asks as he smiles at celestia's confused face. Celestia was breathing heavily as if she ran from somewhere. "We... We found where Cursor is but somehow he is fighting back and wont come back, even his brother cant convince him. We need Mayhem to talk to him." Celestia backed up as Mayhem jumped out of Discords arms and she glided down to the floor. Mayhem stretched her wings and looked back to Celestia and Discord. "Take me to him!"
In an open field surrounded by wonderful roses of every color of the rainbow there stood an old broken house. Choco and other guards stood outside, some unicorns trying to find their way inside but it was somehow protected. Celestia, Discord and Mayhem came into view from the sky and a few of the Pegasus guards met with them. Discord stopped as Celestia and Mayhem went on forwards. Mayhem looked back and noticed he stopped. "Whats going on?" She asked a little confused at his frightened face. Discord shook his head and backed up like a scared puppy dog. "I cant go in there. Things... things happen when I'm in there." Discord whimpered. Mayhem just shook her head and looked down at the house. It looked a bit familiar to her, as if she has seen it sometime before, like in a dream or something. She bolted for the front door pushing everyone in her way to the side. Choco placed his hoof on her shoulder before she touched the door. "Noone has been able to get inside. Its somehow magically locked." Choco said as he backed up seeing her glare at him. Within seconds Mayhem placed her hoof on the front door of the house and it flew open. Everyone was shocked as Mayhem ran into the house. "Cursor? Cursor sweetie are you in here?" Mayhem shouted. She searched the first floor of the house but didn't see anything. She passed a familiar room with a fireplace in the back center of the room. Shaking her head to focus on what she was doing, mayhem stretched her wings and ascended to the second floor. "Cursor where are you?" She called to him again. Suddenly a mess of white and brown hair popped out of a room. "Mayhem? How... how did you get in here?" Cursor asked confused more then the others were. Mayhem walked over to him and tackled him to the floor. She was so happy to see him and she held him close. "I just walked in the house. That's how I got in!" Mayhem smiled and Cursor looked confused. Cursor stood up and then walked to look out the window. "So do you remember this place Mayhem?" Cursor asked as he looked back at her. Mayhem tilted her head confused on what he was talking about. Suddenly her head hurt as her legs buckled beneath her. Cursor ran to her and helped her up. "What do you mean do i remember this place?" Mayhem asked as she looked up into cursors eyes. He smiled and kissed her forehead. "This house was where we met many years ago, when you were a filly." Cursor smiled and then led her to the first floor livign room. Cursor sat on the floor and asked mayhem to sit next to him. "You and your father lived here, he actually had a magic shield put on this house that only members of the family could enter, with the exception of me of course." Cursor looked so sincere and Mayhem blushed as she stared into his eyes. Cursor placed his hoof on the side of her face and pulled her into a kiss. Mayhem blushed even brighter and kissed him back. Suddenly her eyes opened wide and she retracted. "Wait you have met my father? Do you remember what he looked like?" Mayhem was eager. Cursor smiled and then got up walking towards the front door. Mayhem followed him and tilted her head in confusion as to why he wont answer hr question. "I'll tell you once we get home. We cant stay here too long." Cursor smiled and opened the front door. After leaving the shield cursor was tackled by his brother. Cursor chuckled as choco was really worried about his brother. Mayhem looked to Celestia and nodded. "We can go home now!" Mayhem smiled. She then noticed discord was still a slight distance away. What was it about this house that he seemed to want to stay away from?
When they got back to the castle Twilight and her friends were there waiting. "Oh i see you found him!" Twilight said as she smiled with glee. While Celestia stayed back to speak with twilight and her friends Mayhem and Cursor went ahead to mayhem's room. When they entered the room Mayhem sat down and asked for cursor to sit with her. "Now you were going to tell me about my father!" She was really eager. Cursor smiled and sat next to her and then looked straight into her eyes. "Your father was a large Black stallion, he was the same height as Princess Celestia. He had large wings that matched his body size and he was an alicorn like yourself. His mane was a golden yellow, spiked in the back and two sharp bangs in the front that came on both sides of his horn." Cursor was explaining the same stallion that Mayhem keeps seeing in her dreams. So the father in her memories wasn't a fake, he actually existed. Mayhem smiled as she continued to listen to cursor talk more about how he spoke and how he acted. Suddenly the doors to mayhem's room opened and discord walked in. "Sorry for the sudden barge in but I was wondering if Mayhem was wanting to learn something from me. I spoke with Celestia and she thinks it would be great for her to learn about her chaotic magic from a chaos master himself!" Discord smiled as he poofed in front of both cursor and mayhem. "So what are you two kiddos talking about?" Discord smiled and placed his face between his claw and paw and placed his elbows on mayhems table. "Cursor has met my father once! He was describing what he looked like!" Mayhem smiled with a big goofy smile. Discord's eyes opened wide and he looked at Cursor. Cursor smiled at the bright look upon Mayhem's face. He enjoyed her smile, it always brought a smile to his face. Cursor continued with his story about mayhem's father, with what he heard discord sighed in relief from the story. Mayhem looked up to discord and smiled. "So you said you could help me with my chaotic magic?" Mayhem tilted her head and smiled. Discord nodded and stood up holding out his paw for her to take. "But we are gonna have to head somewhere else to channel it so we don't accidentally destroy something." Discord smiled and mayhem placed her hoof in his paw. "Can Cursor come with?" She asked giving him the puppy dog eyes that no one can say no to. Discord smiled and nodded his head. Mayhem held out her hoof and cursor took it in his. "Lets go shall we!" Discord smiled and he snapped with his claw and they poofed out.
