midnight skies

"Nyx, Spike get up its time for school" Princess twilight sparkle yelled up the stairs of her tree home.

Twilight was packing two lunch boxes for her daughter Nyx and her son Spike was hit with magic turning him into a unicorn colt less than a month ago. Just then twilight heard two pairs of hooves coming down the stairs.

"Morning mom!" Nyx and spike said at the same time. Twilight noticed that spike was in a daze looking the same way he used to look at rarity before he was changed into a pony.

"Um spike are you alright" twilight asked smirking knowing exactly what the look on his face ment.

Nyx started to giggle as spike glared at her blushing "nothing mom its just... nothing" spike said while obviously trying to hide something.

"Well mom I guess nothing also meens somepony has a crush on Orange leaves" said Nyx laughing as spike started to glare at her once again.

"Aww my little colt is becoming a handsome stallion" twilight cooed. Nyx hoped out of her chair and ran towards twilight grabbing her saddle bag and lunch before turning back to twilight.

"Thanksforlunchmomloveyoubye!" Said nyx before she teleported to school.

"When will I learn how to teleport so I can catch her next time" spike said starting at the spot nyx was recently standing.

"Don't worry she just started learning she couldn't have gotten too far" twilight said while looking out the window with spike.

Just then nyx appeared a few feet away from the library.

"Oh come on!" Nyx complained before angrily walking to school.

"Well you better be going or you'll be late have a good day. And when you come home I want to hear all about this Orange leaves filly" twilight teased.

"I'm going to kill nyx!" Spike yelled trotting out the door.

About twenty minutes later twilight was outside on the balcony sitting in her favourite reading spot reading a list on how to properly rule over a kingdom rarity has written for her. Twilight started to giggle at the letter.

"Rarity you always seem to make me laugh without even trying" twilight said.

Then out of no where a huge wave of magic has been released from the everfree forest and twilight has felt this and had to hold her horn to keep her head from raddling. When it stop twilight was still stiff with shock.
