midnight skies

Twilight and her friends were walking towards the everfree forest looking for the sorce of the magical outburst.  Twilight and rarity were using their horns to track it down.

"I'm telling you girls it was the stongest one yet" twilight explained. " but it's wierd because it's coming from the everfree" said twilight.

"Oooh oooh maybe its a cockatries or an ersa minor or timber wolf or-" pinkie didn't finish.

"An alicorn" fluttershy said looking strait ahead.

"I highly doubt that it's an alicorn there are only five alicorns in existence" rarity said.

"N-no look an alicorn filly" fluttershy said pointing with her hoof at a tree.

Everyone looked over to see a young alicorn filly sleeping on a makeshift bed made out of leaves and grass. The little alicorn had a midnight blue coat and long tangled black mane with purple highlights.

"Oh my goodness what Is she doing way out here we've been walking for hours we must be at least a couple of miles from fluttershy's house" twilight questioned.

Twilight then noticed a big leaf rapped around the filly's left wing. Then twilight was being a gentle as she could trying to remove the leaf from the filly's wing. Her friends watching curiously wondering what their friend was doing. When twilight successfully removed the leaf her and her friends gasped in surprise. The filly's wing was all mangled a it looked like a couple of her primary fethers were missing and dry blood on it along with many cuts and gashes.

"I don't think she's going to be flying any time soon" rainbow dash said still in shock with a pained look on her face as if  she was in the filly's hoof shoes.

"Come on girls we need to get her back to ponyville as soon as possible" said twilight gently levitating the filly up from the pile of leaves.

But as soon as the filly's body left the bed her eyes shot wide open reveling her purple eyes.

"What do you want?" she asked glaring at the ponies surrounding her while her horn lit up with very stong magic.

"We jus need to take you back to our town to a hospital" apple jack explained to the  hostile filly.

"Put me down I don't need help! " she yelled her face getting red with fury.

"In case you don't know your wing is all jacked up you need a docter" rainbow dash said to the still upset filly.

"I SAID PUT ME DOWN!" she screamed.

She then teleported out of twilight's magical grasp and looked as surprised as the rest before she began to run deeper into the forest.

"We need to stop her before something else does" twilight said then ran after the filly.

The little filly was running as quick as she can but not quick enough.  Rainbow dash flew up to the filly and landed in front of her.

"Wher do you think you're going" dash said with a smirk which instantly turned into an a frown when she sees that the filly has teleported out of the way.

"Where'd she go" apple jack asked

Twilight's horn lit up as she concentrated on a spell. when she finished she had a shocked look for about the fiftieth time that day.

"Oh my celestia, girls she's at the Crystal empire" twilight said.

Somewhere in princess celestia's castle a bright light takes the form of an alicorn filly.

"Where am I?" She asked her self still surprised that she can channel teleportation magic through anger and fear.

"Halt who gave you permission to be in here" a voice said behind her.

When she turned around she came face to face with an army of castle guards.

"Stand down she's just a filly" anorther voice said behind her.

She turned back to  see a huge unicorn stallion with a snow white coat and a toned blue mane.

"Hi whats your name" he asked her kneeling down to her level.

"Whats your name" she asked back glaring at the stanger.

"I'm prince shining armor and you are"

"I don't have a name i'm a orphan" she replied.

" well how did you get in the castle" he asked the tense filly.

The little filly's eyes widened in surprise.

"I'm at the Crystal empire?" She asked looking around.

"Yeah you didn't know that?" Shining asked her.

"I was being chased in the everfree forest by six mares then one of them caught m and I teleported away and now I guess I'm in canterlot" she answered him.

Shining thought for a while before something clicked in his mind.

"Was one of the a purple alicorn? " he asked.

"Yeah how did you know?" She asked finally warming up to someone.

"Thats my little sister" he answered.

"Oh well I'm sorry" said the filly.

"Why?" Shining asked.

"I kinda hurt her horn by blocking her spell with my own alicorn magic" she said sheepishly smiling.

Then shining noticed that the little filly that he was talking to for the last fifteen minutes was indeed an alicorn.

"I wouldn't mind if you send me to the princess for hurting royalty and being an alicorn was scared andI couldn't control it" she said giving in..

"Really i didn't notice" shining said smirking.

The little filly began to tear up. Shining opened his hooves offering a hug. She accepted by jumping into him and squeezing him as tight as she can.

"You are the first pony to ever be kind to me" she said tears coming from her eyes.

"Come on girls" twilight said running to the gates of the castle.

"Good evening princess twilight" flash sentry greeted.

"Hi flash is anything happening in there" twilight asked.

"Um yeah it's weird some alicorn filly showed up.

Twilight and her friends looked at each other then ran inside. When they got to the throne room what they saw made their jaws drop. Shining standing there with the alicorn filly sleeping on his back.

"Twily!" Shining walked over to greet the young princess.

"Hey shining" twilight said still confused.

"I was waiting for you. Come on me and cadence want to talk to you in private" shining said.

"Oookay" twilight said still unsure.

When they got to the meeting room cadence was sitting on a cushion sorting through some papers.

"Twilight there you are" cadence said running over to twilight.

One they were done with their dance they both sat down next to shining.

"Twilight this filly is an orphan she doesn't even have a name me and cadence want to adopt her but we can't" shining said his positive attitude gone.

"W-w-why not" twilight said her confused look replaced with a sad one.

"Well for starters we have to many royal duties we won't have enough time to give her all the love and attention she needs and this is coming from the alicorn of love" cadence explained.

"What does this have to do with me" twilight asked once again confused.

"She is very powerful and she needs to learn how to control her magic. You are the only one who can twilight celestia can also help her but she will have to keep her in the castle and do we really need another old twilight sparkle around"cadence said chuckling thinking about how twilight used to act before the elements of harmony.

Twilight was still confused.

"So what you are saying is that I should adopt her" twilight asked.

"Yes" cadence answered.

"Okay I'll do it" Twilight said.

"but please don't take her in as a mission. take her as a daughter"  Shining said before levitating the little filly off his back.

She opened her eyes in surprise but when she saw shining she smiled and huged him.

"Looks like somepony woke up" shining said with a smile.

"Hi I'm twilight we probably met before but it wasn't officially" twilight said smiling.

"I'm sorry for hurting you twilight it won't happen again" the filly said.

"It didn't hurt that much but I have news shining can't adopt you" twilight said the filly's smile disappeared. "But I can!"

The filly then started smiling wider than she has ever smiled before. She then hoped off of shining's back a started jumping around in circles.

"YES YESYESYESYESYES !" She said still jumping.

"Um I certainly see the resemblance twi" cadence said laughing then the other two jumped in also laughing.
