Monsters and Demons Part II

Throwing his hands up as the former freelancer threw a punch from free fall David saw clearly who his enemy was. "Maine." kicking the rouge agent into the air, David rolled on onto his feet and grabbed his marksmen rifle as he took aim. and fired off a round. It was easily avoided by Maine.

"Actually, the Meta" Church said as he looked at him through Davids helmet cam.

"Any tips" David asked as he took a combat stance.

"Yeah, don't die" Church said as he instantly set his spartan partners speed ability on. to this David shot at Maine in a full sprint and threw a punch that was easily blocked. Punch after punch, kick after kick both combatants refused to move an inch. Each and every blow leaving a deep impacting sound that echoed through the valley. Quickly kicking away the Freelancers weapon while spinning David jumped into the air and drop kicked Maine, landing a center mass hit that sent the former Freelancer agent into a row of trees, Smashing them apart before he came to a stop by rolling to his feet. Maine punched the ground in a brawler type manor before turning invisible.

"Church"

"I'm on it" the A.I. replied as he turned on the Spartans ODST visor. Easily spotting Maine David rushed him at full speed and threw a punch that landed right in the chest the rouge agent, sending him flying through another few trees. As Maine came to a stop this time he landed right next to his brute shot.

While this was happening David was in a full sprint after him and about five feet away when in one swift motion Agent Maine fired off a round and stopped time with his equipment. Walking slowly up to David. "Well fuck" Church said as Maine's time distortion stopped, and the brawler slashed David in the chest and moved to the side allowing the grenade round fired to hit the ODST Spartan in the head, sending him back into the rock wall.

"-COUGH COUGH- Shit, what hit me" David said spitting up blood.

"Time distortion buddy, Maine fucked you up pretty bad. I've got your healing unit running" Church said as he looked at the approaching freelancer. With his helmet heavily damaged, David stood and removed it before taking a fighting stance only to be met with a punch to the face that knocked him onto the ground.

Rolling the Spartan onto his back David looked up as Maine raised his gun towards Davids face ready to pull the trigger. "Whoa there. Hey big guy don't kill him and I'll let you take me" Church said standing right in front of Maine. To this Maine nodded and reached out his hand as Church transferred into Maine's armor.

"Good job my friend. now, carry him to the vault, and keep him alive, we have use for him." A hooded pony said with a feminine voice, her smile the only feature David could see. To is Maine hissed and threw David over his shoulder. With her horn lighting up the pony smile and took the Spartans sniper rifle grabbed and his helmet "Ah, a trophy of the princess's demon." she said smile as she walked off.

"David! David! Don't you die solider!" The Chiefs voice said as David looked up and saw he was on Reach, back when a Hunter practiced its back swing on him, but soon the voice changed to Twilight's who's voice was scared and sad.

"David! Don't you die on me, please don't die" he heard her crying as his eyes opened and he looked at her, her fur matted around her eyes was matted and her eye liner was runny.

"You look like shit" the Spartan said weakly as he chuckled. Smiling at her with a cocky grin he chuckled before he noticed that his armor was still on. Groaning as he tried to sit up Twilight instantly shoved him down, making him wince in pain slightly "ouch"

"Who the hay did this to you" a gruff feminine voice said, one David knew belonged Rainbow Dash.

"The guy in the white armor, lets just say he was part of a special operations group that went rouge, and he himself went rouge and crazy and started killing his friends for their A.I. units." David said "that's the quick version."

"I should kick his ass!" Rainbow said as she punched her fist into her palm.

"Darling don't be stupid" Rarity said crossing her arms over her chest.

"You'd die if you even tried" Apple jack said glaring at her. "look at what "it" did to David"

"Yeah, that guy was real mean" A tiny purple A.I. said as David looked at him.

"Theta, what are you doing here?" he asked.

"Church wanted me to run your healing unit while he could work on disabling Maine's equipment." the younger A.I. said.

"I see." David said as his surroundings finally started to enter his senses and the radio started to bug him "Where in a God damn re-education camp" He said and looked at Twilight "Let me set up, Theta's got this healing unit going." he said. Letting go of him Twilight backed up as David sat up before throwing a hidden ammo clip at the radio, effectively busting and silencing it. "Alright Twi, tell me everything you learned about this town." David said "mostly are the villagers hostile or under a spell?"

"I think a spell, but something is weird, they all have the same cutie mark, like this" she said as she un-did her pants and showed him her hip, nearly causing rarity to faint, but showed that she bared an equal sign "Apparently the head of the town uses a magic item of Starswirl the Bearded's called "the Staff of Sameness." she said as she fastened her pants back up "but i never heard of such an item" she said as she held her chin.

"Theta, do you have a copy of the image of the town that the Liberty took?" David asked the young A.I.

"I do, and it is almost an equal sign, except for one house" he said as he pulled up a hologram of the town "That one".

"Hey isn't that Starlight's house?" Pinkie pointed out and the other girls nodded in agreement.

"And i read almost all information on Starswirl. I don't think i ever came across any information of an Item named the staff of sameness." David said putting his hand on his chin.

"Almost like its made up right guys?" pinkie said with a giggle, this received a stare from both Twilight and David. "What?"

"Pinkie your a genius, but if we can find out more about starlight, damn if we could have a pony on the inside." David said. "But i bet none of you girls liked this town at all did you?" To this all the girls looked at Fluttershy.

"Um....i...." she quickly hid behind her hair, her right hand holding onto the left arm.

"No, no forget it, shes not doing it, not with "IT" out there. Theta. Can you contact Church?" David asked

"I think i can, but i'm not sure"

"You got this buddy, just try" David replied

"Um, okay" he said before contacting Church at a.i. speed, which was two hundred and fourty times faster then humans "hey church, you there?"

"Yeah buddy, whats up, David okay?"

"Yeah hes fine, hey um, these guys want to know if you can find anything out about a girl named "Starlight Glimmer?" Theta asked

"The girl in charge of the town?" Church asked

"Yeah, they think shes lying and taking the ponies powers, considering her house doesn't match up to the shape of the town and something called a cutie mark" Theta said

"Hey on let me check." he said and quickly ran over to Starlight's house where he saw her getting out of the shower, a towel wrapped over her upper body, but her cutie mark was visible but she was in the process of covering it up. Quickly moving back to Maine Church replied "yep, shes lying, there is make up on her tramp stamp to hide it. Let David know and tell me when hes gonna make his move."

"Alright see you in a little bit" Theta said and started talking back to David and the others.

"Yeah shes using making up to hide her cutie mark" Theta said as he looked at David and returned to working on his healing unit and vanished into Davids armor.

"Alright girls, i think i got a plain. But we are gonna need help." He pulled an earpiece and put it in his ear "Hey Delta, prepare the Alpha and Tex drop. Be on stand by and ready for my mark. And I'll need a new helmet." He said clinching his fist. -Round two mother fucker, this time, I will win.-

-On board the liberty-

"Oh my god, He's back, how the hell is he back, we attached him to a jeep and shoved him off a cliff" Grif said as he was controlling a power suit designed to be controlled by an A.I unit and was flipping out while looking at five other A.I. powered and controlled battle suits. "I mean, come on guys. last time we beat him, we got lucky"

"Maybe hes immortal" Caboose said "like Santa Clause or the ice cream man"

"What, no, i say he was probably brought here through some kind of temporal distortion thing. like maybe his suit malfunctioned and it sent him into the far distant future where he just arrived." Simmons said as he looked at caboose. "I mean, come one, immortal?"

"That actually makes sense." Tucker said as he grabbed an ODST Spartan helmet. "I mean, what you said Simmons, what Caboose said is just fucking stupid"

"I knew you'd screw this up somehow Grif, man your such a disappointment." Sarge said as he cocked his gun. "This time I'll just have to use my shot gun on him, he he, that'll get'em."

"Oh, vaya a su idiota tal y Sarge , ¿por qué el odio Grif tanto? y Simmions , Lo dudo mucho . Creo que fue magia, quiero decir que estamos en un mundo con seres que son , básicamente, dioses , no sería diferente , es más altamente posible que un poderoso unicornio lo trajo aquí para luchar y tratar de matar a comandante y princesas." Lopeze replied

"Heh heh, that's a good one Lopez, maybe your right, we can just shove him off a mountain side again" Sarge said.

"Eres un idiota." Lopez deadpanned.

"Oh man your just too funny Lopez." Sarge replied

"Cómos que el hijo bastardo de los suyos que se reunieron de nuevo en vahallah por cierto ?" Lopez asked

"Why yes this is a new shot gun." Sarge replied, to this Lopez face palmed.

"If you assholes are done screwing around, we need to be ready to go. Everyone in the pelican. I'm flying." A black armored a.i. with a feminine voice said "Its time we end this."

Author's Note

This is actually what i was planning two months ago, but thanks to personal issues didn't get it done until now, the battle with the meta was planned long before screw attack announced his arrival into the deathbattle arena, but thanks to them, (the much needed combat info i needed on agent Maine) this battle was inspired by death battle, and again, is also a MASSIVE love letter to roaster teeth and everyone at the RvB team, if you guys are reading this, i hope to see many more episodes of such an awesome show.
