Of Dazzles and Shimmers

Hey Twilight, what's up? Sunset wrote in her journal. She had been looking forward to this day all week. It was her weekly discussion with Twilight. Sunset would tell her all the goings-on at CHS, while Twilight would write to her about how life has been in Equestria.

The book glowed as the words magically appeared. Nothing much. Reading a bunch of books, waiting for the next invasion of Equestria or a giant monster. Typical Princess stuff. And You? How have things been at Canterlot High?

Pretty fun. Graduation is coming up soon, so Pinkie is planning a huge 'Goodbye Canterlot High' party and concert if you're interested.

That sounds great! I'll be sure to attend. I assume we'll have to sing for the school?

Pinkie didn't mention anything like that, but I'm sure she'll find a way to but us in the concert. That reminds me, have you found anymore information on Sirens back in Equestria?

Dang. That's a bummer. There was a long wait with no words being written in the journal.

Sunset. Are you really sure you want to seek out and befriend the Sirens?

There's not a shadow of a doubt in my mind. Why do you ask?

It's just, I'm not so sure they're worth redeeming.

Twilight, I can't believe you would say that. If you and you're friends reformed chaos incarnate, than I think three sirens that only hypnotized a couple of High School students deserve the benefit of the doubt.

Sunset, it almost sounds like you're defending them. Another pause.

Well, maybe I am.

Sunset, I can't believe this. They tried to take over Equestria for Celestia's sake!

So did I, Twilight. And yet you redeemed me. So why shouldn't I try redeeming them?

That's different. These girls feed off of chaos. They're very nature practically makes them irredeemable.

I don't care. Whatever it takes, I'm gonna redeem them I have some homework to get to, I'll talk to you next week.

Dear friends,

It is with a heavy heart that I must inform you I am going on a journey back to Equestria. If you look at the previous pages, you will see Twilight and I had a falling out, and she has yet to accept my apology. I am going to apologize to her in person. Please don't follow me, as I need you guys to watch over the Sirens in case they discover the portal or somehow get their powers back. You five are the only ones that can stop them. Please don't worry, as I am going to return as soon as I can.
