Of Dazzles and Shimmers

Rainbow Dash read the last page of Sunset's journal she found in her locker to her friends...

Dear friends,

It is with a heavy heart that I must inform you I am going on a journey back to Equestria. If you look at the previous pages, you will see Twilight and I had a falling out, and she has yet to accept my apology. I am going to apologize to her in person. Please don't follow me, as I need you guys to watch over the Sirens in case they discover the portal or somehow get their powers back. You five are the only ones that can stop them. Please don't worry, as I am going to return as soon as I can.

Your friend, Sunset Shimmer

"Sunset went back to Equestria?" said Pinkie.

"Looks like it." said Applejack.

"What are we gonna do?" asked Fluttershy to Rainbow.

"It's obvious what he have to do. We're gonna storm in there and help her."

"You heard Sunset. She said she needs us here to keep an eye on the Sirens." said Rarity,

"Oh, what are they gonna do? You heard what Twilight said, they're harmless now. Now let's go!" The five friends ran out of the school and to the horse statue that held the portal. Rainbow was at the front of the pack, and as she was running, she felt a large thud crash against her face. Before she knew it, she was on the ground.

"What happened?"

Applejack placed her hand on the now solid part of the statue. "It looks like the portal has been closed y'all."

"But how? Twilight told us she found a way to keep the portal open." pondered Rarity...

One Hour Earlier

The Sirens stood outside the doors to Canterlot High.

"Adagio, why did you bring us here? I thought we were done with this lame place." said Aria.

"Yeah, I thought we were just gonna do what we always do. Dine and dash." said Sonata.

"This isn't like those other times. We've lost our pendants, but I think if we can work ourselves into the inner circle of Sunset Shimmer and her friends, they'll use their magic to fix them, then we can get out of this dump and on to our next source of energy."

"One problem with your logic there, the Rainbooms don't want anything to do with us."

"Not necessarily." The two Sirens now shared confused looks. "Sunset Shimmer has been trying to befriend us ever since the musical showcase. We become friends with her, then we become friends with the others, and then..."

A silhouette neared the translucent door. "Someone's coming! Hide!" said Sonata. The three girls jumped into the bushed on either side of the school. The doors flew open, and out came Sunset Shimmer in a huff with a backpack.

"Oh, it's just her."

"Shh!"

Sunset ran to the seemingly worthless statue of a horse in the school's front yard. She placed a hand on it, and to the surprise of the Dazzlings, it disappeared into the statue. Sunset began to walk into the statue, and soon, she was gone.

"Wait a minute, didn't you say that Sunset was from Equestria like us? You don't think that statue leads to..."

"There's only one way to figure it out." Adagio and the Dazzlings ran towards the statue, and soon, they felt a strange feeling, like their body's were being contorted to fit some new form...

Adagio woke up first, and gained an evil smile as she looked down at her hooves.
