Section I: Brave New World

Prologue
Before I start this tale, I want you to be very sure of something; I never wanted this fate. During the years of the crazy “Brony” fad, I never bothered to hop on the bandwagon. Why would I? It was literally just a bunch of adult men liking a kid’s show. Of course, you may think, well that’s what it’s like with SpongeBob. However, where you’re wrong is the large scale that My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic encompasses. Thousands, maybe even close to a million, even, enjoyed this show.

I’m getting off topic.

What you need to know is that the year is 2018. The fandom has all but died. I will admit, fan works like the animated Rainbow Factory movie and even the Fallout: Equestria game were awesome. In a way, I’m kind of glad the fandom died, only because I managed to stay immune to the whole craze of it. I only watched about a couple episodes before Hasbro began to systematically block them, and then began to put prices on them. I wasn’t about to pay three dollars just to watch one episode.

But, now I’m here, trapped in this new world. “This world”, you ask? “What do you mean, this world?” Well, let me explain, and you’ll see.

I wrote this intro before I actually became a brony. Funny, really, that I was even writing this story at the time. It's one of the things that pushed me to become a brony.
