Banned From Equestria

To be quite frank, I don’t remember much from that day. All I remember is that it was sunny and I literally stayed home the entire day. I had a late shift the day before, and I was tired as shit. I think I played Xbox all day. Anyway, the time came around 8 p.m., so I proceeded to bed. Around 11 o’ clock, there was this strange…mechanical whirring sound. I don’t know how else to describe it.

A massive teal portal materialized in front of me. In its entirety, it stretched from floor to ceiling, making it at least eight feet tall. Wispy grayish blue smoke swirled around on the floor and it suddenly began to smell like flowers. Only when I realized I had moved somehow to the foot of my bed did I notice I was being pulled into the portal. I was sucked in, before I had a chance to fight it. I blacked out as soon as I entered.

When I woke up, everything was blurry. My whole body was tingling and felt different. I looked left but could only see a blurry red color. The same view was on my right. I looked straight ahead and saw a blue form in front of me. It took me about ten seconds for my eyes to partially adjust, and when they did, I saw a blue creature wearing a magician’s hat. “Ah, good! You've awoken. Now then, listen to the Great and Powerful Trixie…” she rattled off some useless facts. I wasn't exactly concerned about what she was saying. I was more concerned about what she just said.

“The Great and Powerful Trixie…?” I murmured aloud.

She clearly heard me as she looked at me with contempt. “Why, that’s who I am.” She moved her head closer to mine, and I could finally get a better view of it. A million thoughts flooded my mind as my eyes finally fully adjusted to the bright sunlight and I could see everything, near and far. She had a horn. She had a snout. She had massive eyes. I couldn't believe it myself, but I had to ask it aloud to see if it was actually true,

“Am…Am I a pony?”

She threw her head back and began to laugh “Of course! The Great and Powerful Trixie made you one!” As she said her name a second time, a rainbow explosion took place overhead. I immediately tried to stand up, but then fell down. It was at this moment I realized I wasn't bipedal anymore. I shot a look behind me at this “Great and Powerful Trixie” and grasped her head with two…”hooves” and shook her.

“What did you do to me? Why am I here!?” I pleaded with her. Not affected, she simply brushed my hooves off her and smirked. She then simply trotted away. That was it. I get transported to a world full of ponies and my jailer simply walks away, either dooming me forever, or simply letting me do whatever the hell I wanted.

Trembling, I stood up. I really knew nothing about this world…sure, I knew some of the characters, but I didn't know their attitudes, their aspirations. That rainbow explosion, for example. Was that Rainbow…Brash or something? And I thought, for an instant, I saw a pink flash when talking this “Great and Powerful Trixie”. I looked towards the town and began to walk there. I didn't know who or what awaited me…
