"She's gone!"

"What do you mean she's gone?"

"Princess Celestia is gone!"

It was still night time in Equestria, and it wasn't supposed to be. The sun should have rose over several hours ago, but it never did. It caused lots of pandemonium over the whole world.

In Canterlot, in the Royal Sister's castle, thing were even worse. Guard's were searching everywhere, but no one found her.

Celestia's younger sister, Princess Luna, was sitting on her throne terrified. Celestia has NEVER forgotten to raise the sun before, something really bad must have really happened for her not to do her royal duties.

The guards returned to Luna, looking very distressed.

"Did you find her?" Luna asked nervously.

The guards shook their heads, "No trace of her...not even a clue..." the first guard said.

"We looked in the castle, in the city, everywhere...she's gone..." the second guard chimed in.

The third guard sighed, "We will begin a search party as soon as you give the orders..."

Luna was silent for a moment, "I shall raise the sun...alert Princess Twilight and Princess Cadence immediately, tell them to hurry to Canterlot as soon as they can..." Luna then sighed shakily, "Then...begin the search...."

The guard saluted, "Yes ma'am!" they shouted in unison. They then spread out to do their duties, leaving Luna alone with her thoughts.

Luna walked slowly to Celestia's balcony and looked down at the many ponies out on the streets of Canterlot, she then with a heavy heart lowered the moon and rose the sun. "Sister...where are you...? she asked the sky in a hushed tone expecting an answer, but she got none.

Soon Cadence and Twilight arrived, looking like they had been jostled from their beds. "Luna! What's wrong? Where's Celestia?" Twilight asked in a panicked tone as she rushed to the balcony.

Luna didn't turn to face the younger princess, "She's gone missing..."

"Oh sweet Celestia NO!" Twilight exclaimed, her eyes widened with pure fear.

Cadence gasped, "I-Is there a search party? Are there any clues yet?"

Luna shook her head, "No...nothing..."

"I-Is there anything we can do?" Twilight asked frantically.

"No...not you Twilight...you will have to stay out of this..." Luna told her.

Twilight gasped, "How in the name of the Equestria can I stay out of this? Celestia is my mentor!" she became enraged and began to breathe heavily, "I need to find her!"

Cadence put a hoof on Twilight's shoulder, "Take it easy Twilight...we will find her ourselves...you need to take over Celestia's duties until we find her..."

"Why can't Luna take her duties?"

"Because, although I can lower the sun, I cannot raise it...only lower it..." Luna explained, "The weight of the sun is too great for me to lift..."

Twilight huffed angrily, "And you think I can lift the sun? I just found my title! I'm the Princess of Friendship, NOT the Princess of the Sun!"

Luna sighed, "I will show you how to do so...you still have Alicorn magic from the fight with Tierek...when we gave you our magic...our magic became yours...though we regained our magic...your magic still was fused with the magic we gave you..."

"So...you are saying...I still have the magic the three of you gave me?"

"Yes...I know it seems odd, but I know you still have the magic...I can sense it...please..." Luna was on the verge of tears, "For Equestria..."

Twilight pointed to Cadence, "Why can't Cadence do it? She has more experience then I do!"

Cadence sighed, "Although that is true...I have my own kingdom to rule...I can't raise the sun from the Crystal Palace..."

"Ugh...o-okay...I'll do Celestia's duties until we find her..." Twilight sighed, "But I have to do something first..." she then teleported to her kingdom in Ponyville.

"Spike! Get me Sunset Shimmer's special book and prepare the mirror!" Twilight ordered as she entered her brand new library.

Spike groaned a bit, as he was just getting out of bed. He did what he was told and went back to bed.

Twilight smiled a bit, "Thank you Spike..." she then started up the mirror and to her relief it worked, "Tell the girls I will return..." she then jumped through the mirror.

The minute Twilight entered the strange human world, she saw Sunset Shimmer sitting on the steps of Canterlot High reading a textbook. Twilight rushed over to her, "Sunset!"

Sunset looked up and gasped in shock, "Twilight? What are you doing here?"

"I need you to come back to Equestria...something really bad happened..." Twilight explained.

Sunset's eyes widened and gained a sense of fear, "Oh gosh...what happened?"

"Celestia has gone missing...we are looking for her, but signs are bleak..." Twilight explained sadly, "I need to take over her duties..."

"Oh my..." Sunset sat back down on the concrete steps breathless, "T-Thank you tell for telling me..."

Twilight sighed, "I'm not finished...If Celestia has disappeared...there's no doubt that I might too...so...I need someone to take my place if I...you know..."

Sunset sighed, "I know...I'd be honored to be your heir..."

"Thank you..." Twilight dipped her head in respect, "Let's go..."

With that, Twilight and Sunset all left to Equestria.

Days turned to weeks as everyone searched for Princess Celestia. They left no rock unturned, nopony slept for weeks. Eventually, though they were reluctant, they called off the search, and Luna had to say those three dreaded words.

"Celestia is dead..."

Nopony was joyful for months. Luna spiraled into depression, Twilight was now fully trained and capable of raising the sun, and Sunset was being trained to raise the sun and was turned into an alicorn because of the type magic she was mastering.

Ponies all around the world were growing anxious and somewhat angry. They were fearful that they too were going to go missing too, and they were angry that they never found their princess. Some even became vengeful and were determined to find what or who caused all of this chaos.

At first, everyone suspected Discord. But their suspicions were pushed aside when Fluttershy vouched for him, claiming he was with her the whole day. Then Trixie was blamed, but then Twilight defended her, asking why she would want Celestia off the throne. The ponies of Equestria blamed almost every villain that threatened their world at one point or another. It wasn't until Princess Twilight, Cadence, and the Mane 5 all went missing over the course of one week, that everypony blamed Luna, even Sunset Shimmer blamed her.

But there was a group that believed Luna was innocent, that was the New Lunar Republic. The New Lunar Republic was always just a bunch of small groups all over the world, they were nocturnal ponies and were proud of it. They were never violent, but they were always quick to defend their princess, especially in this case.

This clashing with the New Lunar Republic and the other ponies caused actual fights to break out, many ponies were severely injured as a result. Luna was constantly stressed and scared, everything was coming down on her. This lasted a total of 3 years before Luna had enough and wrote a decree:

My Fateful Subjects,

Due to all the fights and violence, I hereby decree, that the world will be split into two monarchies… Those who believe that I am not innocent, will be a part of what is now known as the Solar Empire... They will be required to sleep during the night, and stay out during the day. They will be ruled by none other then Sunset Shimmer and be required to carry ID at all times to prove you are a part of the Solar Empire... Those that do not have an ID, will be assumed to be a part of the New Lunar Republic. Their curfew will begin at sundown, and will not be aloud outside without a valid reason and ID. You will not be allowed to associate yourself with the New Lunar Republic, you are not allowed on their land for any reason. If caught her on their land, regardless of day or night, they will be forced to pay a heavy fine and be put in the dungeon of the New Lunar Republic.

Those who believe I am innocent will be relocated to a huge patch of land outside of Canterlot And will be a part of the New Lunar Republic... You will stay up during the night, and sleep during the day, your curfew will end at sunrise and to begin at sunset... And will not be allowed out without a valid reason and proof of that reason...You are not required to carry an ID, but you are not allowed in the Solar Empire regardless of reason. Stepping onto their land will result in a heavy fine and being placed in the Solar Empire dungeon.

There will be no fighting with the other side. Doing so will resort in a heavy fine and being placed in the dungeon that they have threatened, as well as a severe punishment from your ruler. Fillies and colts younger than 6 years of age will not be subjected to any of these rules other then the curfew, and the same goes to stallions and mares over the age of 80 years of age...

Reoccurring violations will resort to a life sentence in the dungeon that threatened with no chance of a way out...

There will be no crashing of celebrations i.e Summer Sun Celebration, Winter Moon Celebration, Winter Wrap-Up, Royal coronations, weddings, birthdays, and funerals, doing so will result in a severe punishment...

If you wish to switch to the other side, you will have to go through a process of getting an ID or the shredding your ID as well as background checks as well as a physical. Once you switch over to the other side, you cannot switch back without a valid reason and background check, if you keep switching sides, inevitably, you will not be allowed to switch back.

Please have your decision made up by the Summer Sun Celebration, if you do not… We will make a decision for you...

The Summer Sun Celebration was not a happy occasion this year, it didn't even qualify as a celebration. Everypony was put into their respected groups, the Solar Empire stayed where they had been living their whole lives. The Lunar Republic was relocated to a huge patch of land away from Canterlot and Ponyville, where the monarchy would live in peace.

Luna then moved into her old castle, the one that existed when she turned into Nightmare Moon, she had it renovated, and she sat on the throne. But it was not the same, she needed a successor, so she began to search for a long time...when she finally found a successor, she was finally at peace. And the two monarchies lived in peace for 30 years, until now… That's where our story begins...

Hi guys, thank you for being so patient, I'm sorry I have not been around to give you what you want...but I promise the next chapter will be out quickly and it will be edited, if there is any problem anything at all, tell me in a nice way…No Flaming or trolling whatsoever, or you will be blocked, I am new here, and I'm still trying to figure out how to write fanfiction correctly… So yes I am a rookie,but please do not treat me like an invalid, it really hurts...
