Chapter Two: Cerulean Sketch

In the dark of the night, Inkwell walked a mile without rest, with Quinn riding on her back. The only light to show the way was the moon and the stars, gleaming brightly against the night. Inkwell passed through the Everfree Forest, several barren fields, and finally reached the town of Moonville.

Oh it's not like Inkwell hadn't been here before. In fact, her being a traveling writer, she's visited this quiet little town before. So, she knew her way through the town, and found the house with the address in a matter of minutes.

Moonville was a quiet and gentle town, filled with ponies of different colors, shapes, and sizes. Exactly like Ponyville, only in the night, very strange.

Inkwell as walked through town, many ponies glanced at her, as if she was some sort of celebrity. But she wasn't, she was far from one. So she was doing her best to avoid their stares.

After a finding the address, Inkwell marveled at the nice little house made of wood with a nice finish, the roof made of polished oak that was painted a dark red, almost crimson. The door on the house was a vivid olive green, and on the concrete steps laid a large orange WELCOME mat. It was truly a nice house.

After a few minutes, Inkwell snapped out of the trance like state she was in and knocked on the door.

There was a loud barking noise, coming from a dog obviously. A pegasus answered the door, a blue pegasus with a black mane and a grey hoodie answered the door. "Hello?"

Inkwell smiled and bowed politely, "Good evening, My name is Inkwell Blue-Quill, I was sent by Princess Luna to notify you that I will require your assistance for my newest book."

The pegasus' wide brown eyes widened, "Oh yeah! Princess Luna sent me a letter yesterday!" he stepped aside, "Come in!"

The minute Inkwell stepped inside, her jaw dropped. The room she was in was practically a professional art studio! On the right side of the room in the very corner, stood a full blown animation studio with stills and a professional camera. On the right corner of the room, there was an art easel near a window letting in the moonlight with a few cans of paint by its left side and a green couch on it's right side. In the back of room, there was a bed. On the left side wall, there was a door leading to a small kitchen. It was a nice house inside and out.

"Woah..." Inkwell exclaimed, her spindrift eyes sparkling with wonder.

The pegasus shut the door behind him, "Heh, S-Sorry it's a tight squeeze..." he chuckled a bit, "But it's very homey when you get used to it..."

Inkwell looked back at him, "Are you kidding? I have never seen such an impressive art studio! Not even my work space is this professional!"

"Thank you..." the pegasus beamed with pride as he extended his hoof, "Oh, I'm Cerulean, Cerulean Sketch!"

Inkwell shook his hoof, "Pleasure to meet you- wait...your name is Cerulean Sketch?"

"Yeah?"

"We've met before!"

Cerulean looked at Inkwell puzzled, "We...have? I think I would remember meeting a writer like you."

"I think it was before I discovered my talent..." Inkwell recalled, "I went into the arts and craft store here in Moonville, your dog jumped at me, Harley was her name right?"

Cerulean gasped, "Come to think of it...I do remember now! Wait? So your name is Inkwell? You got your memory back? AND a cutie mark too!"

"Heh yeah...hey, you've gotten taller now!" Inkwell pointed out.

Cerulean chuckled, "Thanks...!"

Suddenly a German Shepard barked behind Cerulean, obviously noticing Quinn on Inkwell's back. Quinn jumped down from her master's back and scurried up to Harley and sniffed her nose and let out a squeak. Harley then licked Quinn's face. Quinn then sneezed and squeaked once more, Harley's tail began to wag.

Cerulean laughed, "That's a hedgehog Harley."

Harley then barked happily, practically running around in a circle. Quinn then seemed to roll his eyes, he was just a hedgehog.

Inkwell giggled, "You got a lovely German Shepard!"

"Heh, thanks, I've had her for a while..." Cerulean then sat down and patted his dog's head lightly, and in return Harley licked his face. Cerulean chuckled, "Easy girl," he glanced at Quinn, "And you have the cutest hedgehog I have ever seen!"

Inkwell picked Quinn up and grinned, "Thanks!" suddenly something caught her eye on one of the animation stills. It was the a sketch of Justice League, the whole league. The picture was finely detailed for a sketch, and it seemed to still be in the line art stage. "This is beautiful!" Inkwell breathed, "Are you one of the comic book artists at DC or something?"

"Heh, thanks, and no I'm not an artist at DC...I really wish I was though...if it weren't for the fact that I like other comic companies like Marvel...Archie too...not that Betty and Veronica...Sonic..." Cerulean stated, pride welling up in his chest.

Inkwell's eyes widened, "You like Marvel and Archie?"

"Yeah?"

"Me too!"

Cerulean grinned, "Awesome!"

Suddenly, the door knocked. Cerulean went to the door and answered it, "Hello?"
