History of Midnight Slash

        Midnight Slash awoke to the sound of rain falling on the roof of his small cottage in the forest. He stood up and stretched his wings and went to check the time and get something to eat. It was 06:45 he decided to get some breakfast. As he left the room he noticed the small orb on the shelf he stared at it "No I wont look at it right now I don't think I could stand seeing that memory right now" He moved the memory orb on the table beside the bed. As he entered the kitchen Midnight noticed the letter on the table it was from Twilight. his heart leapt at the thought that she wanted to talk to him instead of just turning him in to Celestia. He read the letter

Dear Midnight Slash

I would really like to meet you and see if you are telling the truth about being an alicorn if you are then we can see about talking.

        So she was interested in meeting him he was excited. but the time she wanted to meet him wasn't for another hour. So he decided to go through his daily checklist/activities. First he made up the bed and cleaned up his breakfast dishes. Second he practiced summoning his personal armor and sword with magic. Midnight's armor wasn't like normal armor it was made from a magical steel only found in the moon stronger than anything the Canterlot guards had and light as a feather. His sword was made from the same steel and it was sharp enough to split diamonds. Both were encrusted with Garnets The blood red gem was Midnight's favorite The sword was able to channel his magic and focus it giving him the ability to cast more powerful spells in combat. After a few seconds of concentration the air around him shimmered and suddenly he was in his armor which was a dark blue with black trim underneath and the gold bands of royalty around his legs along with a gold muzzle guard. he felt so much better in his armor it fit perfectly. After that it was time to meet Twilight.

He was supposed to meet her at her castle. as he walked through town he noticed everyone was staring at him. He remembered no one knew about a fifth alicorn. Much less another member of the royal family. As he approached the giant crystal tree he realized how much he has missed while in hiding. When he reached the front of the castle he was stopped by two unicorn guards. They both were surprised when he came closer and they saw he was an alicorn. The guards sent for Twilight immediately. When Twilight walked out side she was surprised to see that here indeed was an alicorn in front of her castle."Please come inside quickly" she said. Midnight followed her into the grand entrance which was decorated with paintings of all the elements of harmony.

Twilight led him into the library of the castle which was by far ten times larger than the one in canterlot. There were bookshelves as tall as the ceiling which was a good thirty feet tall. She walked over to a table in the center and sat down. He sat across from her. All of a sudden he felt a weird energy coming near he couldn't quite put his hoof on it though. All of a sudden the wall behind him exploded. He tackled Twilight down and flipped the table to provide shelter from the blast. Twilight looked surprised "what are changelings doing in ponyville" she asked out loud.

" I dont know but Im about to find out" midnight said. He concentrated and his armor and sword appeared. Twilight looked amazed by this " how did you do that" she asked." I made this armor and sword from lunar steel it come whenever I need it to" Midnight said. His face plate folded out over his muzzle. "Time to fight back" he said.

As the first changeling charged him Midnight drew his sword so fast the changeling didn't even realize it had just been decapitated. Suddenly it stopped it head fell to the floor pooling blood. The other fifteen changelings hesitated and backed away when they realized they were facing two alicorns and one of them was obviously trained in combat magic and was skilled with a sword. In the blink of an eye Midnight was in the middle of the group slicing, stabbing, and crushing the changelings until all that was left was the one that appeared to be the leader of the group. before he had time to blink midnight sliced the wings and horn off the changeling so it couldn't fight or escape. It screeched in pain. " Why did you come here" Midnight growled at the changeling.

" We thought princess Twilight was alone so we were going to try and kill her" it said through gritted teeth " we didn't expect her to have another alicorn here" it said". Midnight stood up tall.

"Well it looks like you won't be killing anypony today" he said as he stomped in the changelings head. He turned to Twilight who was frozen in place staring at the pile of decapitated and mangled changeling corpses lying in a pool of blood and organs. " Are you OK Twilight" Midnight asked. She jumped slightly as if surprised.

"Yes I`m fine thanks to you" she said blushing slightly. " You must be very strong to be able to swing your sword that fast" Twilight said.

" Actually my sword is made from lunar steel which has no actual weight" Midnight said.

He let her feel the weight of the sword." Wow if the canterlot guards had this they would-".

"No!" Midnight interrupted " I am the only one able to forge lunar steel and form it into armor and weapons plus its only found on the moon". He concentrated and summoned a portal "please follow me Twilight its no longer safe here" he said.

" Where does this portal lead to" Twilight asked.

" It leads to the alternate world the same place as the mirror in the crystal kingdom" Midnight explained.

" How do you know about the mirror"Twilight asked surprised.

" I'm Luna's son" Midnight said”.

" But Luna doesn't have any children she has been on the moon for one thousand years shes only been back for about twenty years now and you look about as old as me" Twilight said taken by surprise at his claim and blushing realizing he didn't look that bad.

" I'll explain when we get to my house" midnight said as he walked through the portal. Twilight hesitated for a second then followed him through.
