History of Midnight Slash

Midnight Slash looked in his closet and saw what he was looking for a locked box. He pulled it out and walked back into his room. He pulled the key from the hilt of his sword which was laying on his bed. He unlocked the box and pulled out a memory orb. He sat down and looked at it. Finally he enveloped it in his magic and was sucked into the memory.

Midnight felt the young colt turn his head and saw his reflection in a section of a shattered mirror. He was in the memory of his friend Bass Breaker. Bass Breaker had a coat that was solid black. His mane and tail were White and red and he was an Alicorn. He was looking upon the scene of his parents murder. They were both stabbed through the neck with a lance. The two Solar scouts that had killed them were approaching him with swords drawn.

" We have orders to kill you" the first one said. But he smiled but first lets have some fun. His horn lit up and Bass found himself pinned against the wall.

The second scout walked up to him and drew a knife. " First lets cut off his wings" he said laughing. " I heard they hurt the worst when injured" he said smiling insanely. He stepped up to the young Alicorn and began cutting through his right wing.

Bass Breaker screamed in agony. As the guard began cutting through his second wing Bass noticed a small point of light appeared in the back of the room. As the guard finished cutting through the second wing the point of light grew into a full sized portal to what appeared to be a castle made of dark blue stone. On the other side of the portal stood an Alicorn with a dark blue coat and a matching mane.

The guards noticed the portal and stepped back in surprise. The blue Alicorn colt drew a knife and charged the first guard impaling him before he had time to recover from the surprise entrance. However the second guard had time to recover and draw his sword. The colt and guard circled each other each looking for an opportunity to get inside the others guard. Bass realized the colt wasn't armored so he was at a disadvantage. Bass scooted forward and tripped the guard with his last bit of strength. Before he blacked out he saw the colt charge the stumbling guard and impaled him on his horn.

Bass woke up on his bed and thought it had all been a dream then he went to stretch his wings and realized he didn't have any all that was there were bandaged stumps. He looked around and noticed the blue Alicorn colt sitting by the door. Bass walked over to him. " What's your name" Bass Breaker asked.

The colt jumped slightly surprised to see the injured Alicorn up so soon. " My name is Midnight Slash" he said. He looked around the room noticing there were headphones, records, and DJ equipment all around the room. " So I'm guessing you're a DJ" Midnight said.

" Yep I'm a DJ" Bass said happily. " In fact I work the dance club here in canterlot" he said. " Or at least I did until Celestia closed it down about two days ago" he said sadly looking down. " So what do you do besides summon portals" Bass asked Midnight.

" Well I'm really good at forging weapons and armor" Midnight said. " In fact I made this knife myself it's my own design" he said showing Bass the curved leaf blade design. " It makes slicing and stabbing easier plus the curve allows me the ability to disarm my opponent" Midnight said. " I'm sorry I didn't come earlier if I had your parents might have survived" Midnight said sadly.

" It's okay I'll just move in with my aunt in Ponyville" Bass said. Celestia will never find me there.

" At least tell me where to find you so I can give you the wings I'm going to make too replace yours" Midnight said.

        " Okay my aunt is Vinyl Scratch she lives on the outskirts of Ponyville" Bass said. Midnight nodded and turned around and Bass watched him summon another portal and walk through. He turned around and smiled at Bass. And then the memory faded out.
