Cloudsdale

Jonathan used to laugh at how Scootaloo couldn't fly in the show. "You've had them your whole life, yet you can't use them?" He used to say as he watched the pathetic chickun. It was pathetic, right? Not being able to use her wings, the things that separated her from the other races!
Jonathan took back everything he ever said. Flying had been one of the worst experiences he had until then. Although he had experience with planes back home, he was completely unprepared for flying with his horse wings. He couldn't keep steady at all, crashing multiple times. After what felt like the hundredth time, he ended up taking a balloon ride to Cloudsdale.
Cloudsdale was one of the most beautiful places Jonathan had ever seen. The buildings were highly reminiscent of Greco-Roman architecture back home, its beauty nearly equal. Even the sky was amazing, clear as day. After soaking in the view, Jonathan came back to his senses. "Right, onto business." He said to himself as he entered the city.
Finding Twilight was unexpectedly easy. Dozens of pegasi had been gathered outside a factory, apparently on strike. Signs were being held up with slogans such as "Down with the Rainbow!" and "Free the Fillies!" Jonathan decided to ask a young colt who had been photographing the scene what was going on.
"The workers on strike!" He explained, his voice being drowned out by the shouts of the protestors. "Working conditions in the factory have gone down tremendously! They barely have any breaks, and yesterday it reached the tipping point when they announced that they'll have to work on Hearth's Warming!" Jonathan gave him a nod. "Is the Princess in there by any chance?" He asked. The colt snapped another picture as he replied. "Yes, actually. I actually took a photo of it if you'd like to get one!" He said. "Uh, no thanks." He declined. "I'll be going now. Thanks...uh..." "Featherweight!" The colt replied. "I'll see you around!"
Getting through the crowd had been a difficult task, but Jonathan managed to get into the factory. Unlike the exterior, interior had been surprisingly bleak. The lobby was a boring shade of grey with the only piece of color being the pony at the desk. "Welcome to the Rainbow Factory, the backbone of Cloudsdale. What can I do for you today?" The deskpony recited in a monotone voice. Rainbow Factory, huh? Sounds frilly. Jonathan, not being in the fandom, thought.
"Hello. I heard the Princess is here. Could I please see her?" He asked. "The Princess is with Ms. Dash down the hall. Have you scheduled an appointment?" "No. Is that a problem?" Jonathan replied. The deskpony eyed him in annoyance. "Is it a problem? You can't just come in here and talk to her?" She said in an offensive tone. "Well, it doesn't look like she'll be getting any visitors at this rate..." He muttered, looking back at the protestors outside. "Fine." She grumbled. "Go ahead."
Jonathan entered into the middle of an argument. "But we need the rainbows stockpiled!" Rainbow Dash argued. "I know, Rainbow, but come on! It isn't right to keep them in during Hearth's Warming!" She shouted. "And besides, they deserve a rest! I can't think of a reason Rainbow Dash herself isn't up for a break!" It was then the two of them noticed Jonathan in the doorway.
"Ahem!" Twilight cleared her throat. "Hello, what brings you here?" "Um, Your Majesty, I am Jonathan, and I'm here to request audience with you!" He stated, trying to appear refined. Dash chuckled. "Get a load of this stallion, Twi!" She guffawed. "Don't sweat the formalities, Jonathan. Twi here isn't a total stuck-up like the other princesses!" "Stuck-up isn't how I'd put it, but anyways, I'm afraid I can't help you right now. We're in a bit of a pinch here." Twilight told him. "That's another reason I'm here." Jonathan replied, smirking. "I think I have a solution to your guys' problem."
