Luna finds out that when she became Nightmare Moon, she was controlled by the mysterious Pokemon Darkrai. Luna comes to Adean, a pony who is a expert on Pokemon and ask her how Darkrai took control of her, although Adean has no clue at all.
Luna and Adean go into the Everfree forest where the ruins are to find Darkrai to get some answers out. In the middle of the search Darkrai appears and uses his dark void attack on Adean and puts her in a deep sleep. Adean starts having nightmares and wakes up cackling wickedly. The nightmare took control of Adean and turned her into Nightmare Adean, will Luna try to find help from Princess Twilight Sparkle before Darkrai makes Nightmare Adean take over Equstria with dark shadows and puts every pony in terrible nightmares.
