The 13th Doctor

The Golden Harvest...

Voooorpp....Voooorpp....Voooorpp---THUD

Another sunny day in Equestria. Birds chirping, sun shining, wind blowing. Everything was running as normal.

There was a mare, walking through the fields on a dirt trail to spare some time. Her name was Carrot Top. She liked going on walks, she felt that it gave her strength and kept her musical talent in sync. Carrot Top was one of the 'Lucky Ones', as I like to call them. She heard a loud crack in the sky. An Einstein-Rosen Bridge opened above her, and out came the TARDIS. With me in it. Holding onto my console, being through side to side as my ship crashed down into an unknown dimension. Carrot Top looked frightened as the TARDIS landed in front of her. She stood still with shock. I opened the doors and walked out. My clothes were singed, my hair was burnt, and my body covered in bruises.

"Hallo!" I said, panting. Still in my human form. "I'm the Doctor."

"D-d-doctor...Who?" Carrot Top asked.

"Good question." I said. From that moment, I passed out. Next thing I remember, I was being put on a bed in a small house. It seemed comparable to a human house from the Middle Ages, just the proportions were smaller. It was a bit hard to fit, but I believe I was fine. I woke up, laying on a bed, my shoes (or what was left of them) hanging off the side. I looked around and saw some eggs and a glass of water. Carrot Top was standing by my bed, balancing on three legs, while holding a tray with the food in it.

"Awake?" She asked.

"What's it look like?" I replied. I took the eggs and dropped them in the water and drunk it. She gave me a strange look. "What?"

"Nothing, I've just never heard of even a human eating like that before." Carrot Top said.

"Humans? Where are the humans? I'm most acquainted with that race." I said.

"They don't exist here...they're mythological beings." Carrot replied.

"Oh yes...different dimensions." I said to myself.

"You're a human aren't you?" She asked. I gave her an offended look, then started laughing loudly. A stallion walked in.

"Ey! You!" I shouted. He looked at me. "Yeah, you! She thinks I'm a human! HAHA!" I looked back at her. "You are one silly pony you know that?"

"Why?" Carrot asked.

"Because I only LOOK human!" I said. "I'm a TIMELORD. I'm 1,232 years old! And I'm dying."

"You're dying?" Carrot asked again.

"Yes I'm dying, a Timelord can only regenerate twelve times. Like a clock."

"Regenerate..." The stallion asked. I assumed he was a doctor or a nurse.

"Yes, nurse." I said.

"I'm a doctor..." He replied.

"I'm THE doctor." I said giving him a haha look. "Come with me." I got up and ran out of the room. My TARDIS was outside of the house being examined by a couple of construction workers I assume. I ran up to them and shooed them away.

"Sir, please, we are trying to---" One said before I interrupted him.

"Trying to break my TARDIS now get off!" I said pushing him back. I looked up and saw a crane on the top of it. "Really? REALLY?!" I shouted. I took out my screwdriver and took the crane off. I pointed it to the vehicle and malfunctioned it. "Better, now as I was saying, Timelords have a way of cheating death, which for me shouldn't work, but it goes a little bit like this!"

I threw back my head and began to regenerate. Everyone stood back as the blast forced it's way through me. My TARDIS began to rematerialize. I began to scream and shout as my most painful regeneration finished. I fell to the ground.


 “He changed…” said one of the stallions.

“Dear Celestia, it’s a changeling!” said another.

“No…” The doctor said, facing the opposite direction of me. I used this as an opportunity to look good. “Changelings use a green aura to hide their transformation. This thing was using—“

“It’s called a Regeneration Blast.” I said. “I regenerate decayed and diseased tissue via a series of self-replicating, biogenic molecules. The cells of my body were repaired, restored and re-organised, resulting in a wholly new physical form. My brain cells were also rearranged, though to a lesser extent; this new incarnation does retain the memories of the former incarnation, though my personality changed, funny that, the degree of this change depending upon me in question. I should only have twelve regenerative cycles to avoid decaying biogenic molecules. But, looks like I have something else to look into.” The doctor slowly turned back to face me. With astonishment, he left his jaw open. There I stood. Old species gone. I was something entirely different. To be honest, I was surprised I actually regenerated a thirteenth time. I had to know how. "Now if you'll excuse me, I have some consulting to do with my TARDIS! Off to chase the error stick!" Everyone looked at me confusedly. I don't even know why I said that. Whatever, I'll just keep going with the story. I walked into my TARDIS and set the location to temporal mid-shift. It puts the TARDIS in the midpoint of the time vortex so that it can stay present in a place that time doesn't exist.

"TARDIS, activate vocal response." I said.

"It's actually audiographic response, Doctor." The TARDIS said.

"Oh you know what I mean, anyway, what happened?" I asked.

"You should know, enter the mental interface, I'll show you." The TARDIS replied.

"Alright." I responded, doing as I was told. The TARDIS filled my mind with all of the information on the planet that was available to the recently updated TARDIS intelligence core.

"Do you see it now?" The TARDIS asked.

"I'm...Restarting my lifespan. The new doctor...in the new dimension." I said.

I stood in amazement, as I knew 1,200 years ahead...I would live to see the light of day. To explore a universe with no danger. No one to save, just adventure.

I set the TARDIS to travel to three minutes after I dematerialized. I put on some proper clothes (which the TARDIS found) and took my new sonic screwdriver. I opened the TARDIS door and popped out, looking at all of the ponies among me.

"Brace yourselves everyone!" I said.

"The New Doctor, Has Arrived!"

The Golden Harvest has occurred.
