The 13th Doctor
Chapter 6: Refreezing
Previous ChapterNext ChapterI'm missing something...what is it? Looking over these adventures...something was important! Something...the Golden Harvest is somewhere!
I sat in a room. It was nearly freezing. My companions were wrapped in blankets that the female alien had to offer. She apologized for the inconvenience, and walked into another room. I looked around the building. It was even more of a beauty on the inside. They used Particle-Retardent Luminosity Dischargers in a wiring system that closely resembled chandeliers. I could spot arches all around the building, with Magnetic Field Stabilizers for doors. Designs covering the walls were almost like that of Gallifreyan symbols. Their furniture was carved out of an element known has Hydrilicia. I knew I had found one of the most intelligent species in this universe, and I had to save them.
"What is this planet?" Carrot Top asked. I knew that one day she would stop asking questions so often, but for now I'd have to answer.
"It's called..." I thought hard. I actually didn't know. "Haha! Again I don't have any idea! I'm so happy." Healthy and Carrot gave me an odd look. Healthy was about to speak when the female came back in.
"We're referred to as Tetracortanians." she said. "My name is Urselatreyaenna. You can call me Ursela, if you like."
"And there goes that feeling..." I said to myself with a frown. I quickly smiled and looked up at Ursela. "I'm the Doctor, I'm a Timelord from the Planet Gallifrey, Constellation Kasterborous, Third Dimension."
"Doctor who?" Ursela asked with confusion.
"Just the Doctor." I said with a smile.
"And what is your doctrine in?" Ursela asked.
"Umm.." I said. I had never been asked this question before...oddly. "No doctrine. I'm just, the Doctor. I fought in a war, it was kind of a..thing...you know with...stuff and...well...things..." Ursela gave me an odd look and nodded.
"What about the Equusferuscaballus?" Ursela asked, pointing to my companions. They gave an odd look to each other, and then to me.
"Just companions, a doctor in biology and a singer." I said.
"What did she say?" the doctor asked. I was fixing to answer before Ursela interrupted me.
"I thought he was a doctor in biology?" She stated.
"Healthy," I said. "Equusferuscaballus is your species name." The doctor looked down to the floor, ashamed. He only knew the Equus part. I looked back up at Ursela. "So it seems the Tetracortonians are very intelligent, when did you gain this intelligence?"
"Three quarters ago." Ursela replied. She looked out the window, then back at me.
"Moon cycles?" I asked. Ursela nodded her head in confirmation. I could approximate they got their technology in just a month or two. This was astounding. Never once had I seen a race evolve so quickly. From primitive species to an R.T.S. Quite fascinating, I definitely wanted to stay and learn more. Ursela quickly turned her head to a door way. A large Tetracortanian walked out. He had a crown on, and a red robe. He resembled a stallion himself, but much larger and bright blue. Replacing a fur coat, was a substance similar to skin. Just from it's looks, I knew it lacked melanin.
"Who have you brought this time?" The Tetracortanian asked. HIs voice was very old and groggy. He showed a great disinterest in Urserla's idea. It was as if he had gone through this countless times before.
"Father," Ursela said. "It's a very intelligent being, he says he can help us!" The elder one sighed and looked at me.
"What is your name, son?" He asked. I knew he wasn't taking me seriously, so I stood up to him.
"Don't you call me son." I said darkly. "I'm the Doctor. I'm a Timelord from the Planet Gallifrey, Constellation Kasterbourus. I can save your race and destroy your planet if I please. Now you give me a chance and I can help you because I already know how Tetracortanians work." Both my companions, and Ursela stood, mouths agape. The elder gave me a mortified look.
"A timelord?" The elder one said slowly. "But they're...dead..."
"I killed them." I said. "...and I ran, because I'm a coward, but this is the day I prove myself wrong. I'm going to save your planet whether you like it or not. Now tell me what's happening."
"Well Doctor..." The elder said. "Our technology is failing...lack of power, and our bodies have been destabilized from equilibrium, causing a failure in our vital organs. The hotter it gets, the quicker we die, and the more strays can attack us."
"I can help that." I said. "In fact, your planet grows grass that will supply you infinite power!"
"What...you mean the Tetracore Fields?" The Elder said. "That's the planets energy! We would be invading the planet!"
"No..." I corrected. "You'd be adapting."
"Well then," The Elder said, smiling. "Let's get on with it!"
Just...Just a little more thinking...I almost have it.
