Discord's Hostage

"Fluttershy."

She groaned.

"Fluttershy, wake up."

Fluttershy opened one eye and was startled to see Rainbow Dash looming over her.

"Um, hey, Rainbow," she whispered.

Rainbow Dash grinned down at her. "Good morning, Flutters! I want to show you something!"

Fluttershy groaned. "What is it?"

"My new flying techniques! I need you to judge them and tell me how they are!" The excited blue pegasus started to jump up and down.

"Can't you just go ask, like, Twilight or something?" Fluttershy yawned and rolled over.

"Nah, remember, everypony else left for Canterlot the other day? They did say that we needed to watch over the skies, as usual."

"Well, okay, just give me a sec-"

Fluttershy never had time to finish her sentence, because Rainbow had already grabbed her hoof and yanked her out the door.

"Come on!" She yelled as she flew into the air, leaving a trail of rainbows.

Fluttershy followed behind her, but not as fast. Once they were at cloud level, Rainbow Dash stopped.

"Okay, now watch this!" Rainbow Dash screamed as she started flying towards the ground at full speed, creating a sonic rainboom. As she neared the ground, she swooped back up and destroyed a few clouds. Finally, she did a few backflips and struck a pose.

Fluttershy grinned. "Yay!" She whisper-cheered.

"Glad you like it!" Rainbow stuck her tongue out. "Now do you wanna come with me to get a coffee?"

"Of course!" Fluttershy said.

Rainbow bolted off towards the coffee shop on Sugarcube Corner. Fluttershy rolled her eyes and flew behind.

Fluttershy was almost at the coffee shop when -

A bolt of multicolored lightning shot the fountain in the middle of the square. It exploded and dyed everything around it pink. Then, the sky turned a bright green and the moon cake up, as well as the sun. This all happened in the matter of mere seconds. Fluttershy yelped and landed in the plaza, being careful to avoid the things stained pink in case they were toxic.

Ponies exploded out of the buildings and into the street.

"What happened?"

"Why is my house pink?!"

"Is everypony okay?"

Fluttershy saw Rainbow fly out of the pink coffee shop and into the air to think.

"Rainbow! There you are! Do you have any idea what happened?!" Fluttershy yelled.

"Well, I only know one pony who would do this, even though he's technically only part pony.
