Discord's Hostage

"No, this can't be him!" Fluttershy protested.

"Well, who else would do this?" Rainbow argued.

The two Pegasi were looking down upon Ponyville. It had begun to rain chocolate milk from the cotton candy clouds, and long-legged bunny-like creatures were running around everywhere. The roads were turned to soap and everypony was slipping on them.

"I don't know, but remember, he's re-" Fluttershy was interrupted by a voice.

"Hello, everypony," Discord said.

This just made everypony run faster and scream louder.

"My, I forgot how rude everypony in this town is." Discord yawned as he snapped his fingers. He was teleported to midair above the plaza with a plastic beach chair, some sunglasses, and a cup of lemonade. He snapped his fingers once more and everypony in the town, including Fluttershy and Rainbow Dash, was teleported below him on the ground. One more snap, and a force field had been set up around them.

Everypony just kept screaming.

"SILENCE!" Discord yelled.

Everypony went silent, but a few were still whimpering.

"I wanted to talk to you. Offer you a trade." He drawled.

"Do you like your town like this? Do you want your town to stay like this forever, or not?" He asked. Everypony shook their heads no. "Okay then, if you want me to put it back to normal, then you must give me a mare. She will never be able to come back, and nopony will be able to visit her ever again." Everypony gasped, and the crowd burst into murmurs.

"That is my offer. Just one mare for the whole town." He leaned back in his chair and took a long, drawn-out sip of lemonade.

Just one mare, Fluttershy was thinking. Just one... She took a deep breath and started to make her way towards Discord. Everypony stared up at her as she slowly began to fly upwards.

"Wait - Fluttershy!" She turned around and saw Rainbow Dash, her face white.

"You can't do this!!" Rainbow screamed. "No!" Discord eyed her lazily. His claw twitched and she was thrown backwards into the force field. "No! FLUTTERSHY! You can't do this! NO!!!" Rainbow Dash was screaming herself hoarse.

"I'm sorry, Dash, but it's for the greater good. Tell the others that I'm sorry," She said.

And with that, she flew over to Discord and said, "I volunteer as tribute."

"Okay, then. I will hold up my end of the bargain since you held up yours.

He snapped his fingers and Ponyville returned to normal.

"Say goodbye, Fluttershy," Discord said.

"Goodbye, Ponyville," Fluttershy said as she stared at Dash with a sad look on her face.
