Chapters Hi. My name is Singsia Shy-Pie. I love to sing, act, and draw. Unfortunately, I still don't have my cutie mark. I live with two moms. Pinkie Pie and Fluttershy. Its nice having two moms. I call Pinkie Pie mommy, and Fluttershy mom, to separate the two. They understand me more than a father would I guess. I'm 12 and 1/2- years- old. I also have braces and a jaw expander thingy. Stupid overbite and crooked teeth!
My best, best, best friends in all of Equestria are my cousins, Scootaloo, Apple Bloom, Sweetie Belle, and Snowdrop (Snowdrop is NOT my cousin.)
Some of my best friends, not best, best, best friends, are Derpy, Vinyl Scratch, Octavia, Miss Cheerlie, Aunt Twilight, Aunt Rainbow Dash, Aunt Applejack, Aunt Rarity, Uncle Spike, because he's Twilights brother technically, Lyra, Bon Bon, and Minuette. I'm also really good friends with Princess Luna. She visits me in my dreams. Everyone in Ponyville is my friend. My mommy has introduced me to every pony in Ponyville because she knows every pony. I'm in 8th grade. That's really my life so far.
First Day of School Pt. 1
*Beep. Beep. Beep. Beep. Beep. Beep.* I woke up to the sound of my alarm clock. I sat up in bed, pushed the off button, and rubbed my eyes with my hooves. I grabbed my glasses from my nightstand, and put them on. I looked at my clock. 6:30 am. Just then Mommy came into my room.
"Morning. Time to wake up!" she said, smiling. Her magenta mane as crazy as my black mane was.
"Is Mom awake?" I asked Mommy, stretching.
"Yup. She's downstairs making waffles. Your favorite!" I smiled at the thought of waffles. She bounced downstairs to see Mom.
I stretched and looked at Angel and Gummy, who were sleeping on their bed peacefully. I stretched some more, then got out of bed. I made my bed. It was a light pink sheet with microphones on it. My pillow case looked the same.
I walked downstairs.
"Good morning Singsia." Mom said, smiling at me, putting butter on my waffles. She walked over and kissed my cheek. Mommy hugged me. I started eating my waffles. Mommy and Mom sat down, eating their waffles, and drinking their coffee. I don't like coffee so I had milk.
"Hey Mom?" I asked the yellow pegasus.
"Yes?"
"Can I play with my friends after school?"
"As long as it's okay with Rainbow, Applejack, Rarity, and Primrose. What do you think Pinkie."
"Fine with me."
"I'll go call them." Mom said, getting up from the table.
"They all said yes." she said, smiling. I smiled. After breakfast, I went upstairs into the bathroom. I brushed my mane. I brushed my teeth and washed my face.
I packed my saddle bag with my school supplies and my lunch.
Mommy, Mom, and I walked to school, where we met my cousins, Apple Bloom, Sweetie Belle, Scootaloo, Aunt Applejack, Aunt Rainbow Dash, and Aunt Rarity. We also saw Snowdrop, and her mom, Primrose I ran up and hugged my friends, and cousins.
"Hey girls. How was your summer?" I asked, smiling.
"It was awesome! We did lots of crusading." Scootaloo said smiling.
"Sorry. I was in Manehatten."
"Did ya see Babs?!" Apple Bloom asked me hopefully.
"Yup. We talked about you. All good things."
"How have you been Snowdrop?"
"Good." she said, looking the other way. She was blind after all.
"I'm this way." She turned around.
"Oops. Sorry."
"It's okay. So did u have a good summer?"
"Yeah. I read some books."
"You use braille right?" Sweetie Belle asked.
"Yeah."
"I played Minecraft."
"I'm not surprised Sweetie Belle." I said, smiling.
"How cool is it that we graduate middle school this year?" Scoots asked smiling.
"Cool I guess. I'm really gonna miss Miss Cheerilee."
"Us too." Sweetie Belle said.
"Hey Singsia." said Aunt Dash.
"Hey Aunt Rainbow. Do any new stunts this summer?" I asked giving her a hoof bump.
"Yeah."
"Awesome!" She smiled at my compliment.
"We'll see y'all later." Aunt Applejack said walking away with Aunt Twilight, Dash, Rarity, Mom, Mommy, and Primrose.
"SCOOTALOO! YOU GOT YOUR CUTIE MARK?!"
"Yeah! I got it during the last week of school. You left for Manehatten a week before."
I looked at my blank flank.
"Don't worry Singsia. Youlk get your cutie mark." Apple Bloom said.
"Yeah. Eventually." I said, frowning. I saw a giant scar on Scootaloo's head.
"What happened to your head?" I asked her. She got a worried look in her face. Apple Bloom and Sweetie Belle looked worried as well. I think they were hiding something from me.
"I hit my head.... on a table corner." she said. I could tell she was lying. She was stubborn so I didn't ask again.
Just then a filly with a dark brown coat, caramel colored mane walked over to us. He was wearing a propeller hat. He looked shy. I'm shy, but I approached him.
"Hi. I'm Singsia. What's your name?"
"I'm Button Mash."
"Are you new?"
"Yeah."
"You can come hang out with us if you'd like."
"Sure." I walked him over to my friends and introduced him.
"Guys. This is Button Mash. Button Mash, this is Sweetie Belle, Scootaloo, Apple Bloom, and Snowdrop."
"Hi." my friends said together.
"Hello."
"Who's your teacher?" Apple Bloom asked.
"Miss Cheerilee."
"Awesome were all in the same class." I said happily.
"Let's go to class together." Snowdrop said. We all walked to class together.
The first pony to greet us was Miss Cheerilee.
"Good morning girls. Who's this?"
"This is Button Mash." I said.
"Welcome. Okay. Go find your seats."
"We made sure to sit as far away from Diamond Tiara and Silver Spoon as possible. Miss Cheerilee had set up tables this year, not desks. We sat at a table with seven chairs. Already there was purple-gray unicorn.
"Hello." she said to us, smiling.
"What's your name?" Sweetie Belle asked.
"Dinky. Dinky Hooves."
"Are you Derpy's daughter?" I asked. It felt like I'd seen her before.
"Yeah."
"Oh. I think I've seen you before. I'm Singsia."
"Oh yeah. I've seen you talk with my mom before."
"Yeah she's so nice. Your mom is wonderful."
"Thanks."
Just then Miss Double Meanie walked over, with her sidekick Miss Meanie.
"Hey Blank Flank." Diamond Tiara said. Ugh. She's so annoying!
"I see you found two more Blank Flanks to hang out with."
"Go away!" I said to her.
"You're friends are losers! You've got Chicken, Daughter of Cross Eyes, Country Girl, Minecraft Girl, Blind Eyes, and Propeller hat." Silver Spoon snickered. I felt my anger rising. Finally I couldn't help it. I stood up and spoke my mind.
"YEAH? WELL GUESS WHAT SISTER! THEY'RE BETTER FRIENDS THAN BOTH OF YOU COMBINED COULD EVER BE! NOW GO AWAY BEFORE I START GETTING VIOLENT DIAMOND AND SILVER!" I screamed. Miss Cheerilee walked in and stared at me.
"Singsia! Out here now!" A few ponies snickered. Great first day of school and I'm already in trouble. She closed the door and stared at me.
"What was that all about?"
"Diamond Tiara and Silver Spoon are picking on me and my friends!" I said, trying not to cry. I hated being in trouble. I also hated seeing my friends being insulted.
"Okay. I understand you're upset, but next time just ignore them."
"I tried."
"Relax. I'll make sure they don't sit near you."
"Thank you." I said. We both walked into class. Miss Cheerilee moved those two brats to the other side of the room. I sat down.
"Are you in big trouble?" Dinky asked, looking worried.
"No." I said, smiling weakly.
"Today we're going to learn about being kind." Miss Cheerilee said, staring at Diamond Tiara and Silver Spoon. The next three hours we learned about being good ponies and being kind. Mom should teach that lesson. She is the element of kindness after all.
*Rinnnnnnnggggggggg*
The bell rang and it was lunch time.
"Roll call." Apple Bloom called.
"I'm sure you'd know if we were all here." Scootaloo said.
"Too bad. We're doing roll call." Apple Bloom stated, as Scootaloo rolled her eyes.
"Apple Bloom. Here. Scootaloo."
"Here."
"Sweetie Belle."
"Here."
"Snowdrop."
"Here."
"Singsia."
"Here."
"Okay. So what are we going to do today?" Apple Bloom asked. I raised my hoof.
"Singsia."
"I want to know what Scootaloo did to her head."
"I jumped off a cliff because I was sick and tired of Diamond Tiara's teasing. It was too much."
"I'm so sorry you had to be put through that." I went and hugged her.
"It's okay. I'm fine now." she said, smiling.
"Okay." The rest of the time, we just talked about school and stuff. Girly and personal things.
Pain, Pain, and More Pain
I flew home from the clubhouse meeting.
(2 weeks later)
I could hear Mom and Mommy yelling at each other. They'd been fighting a lot lately. I went upstairs to the room Confetti and I shared. I shut the door of our room and we cried on our beds.
"Why do they fight?" Confetti asked me, wiping away some tears.
"I don't know."
I could hear Mommy stomping upstairs. She shouted something at Mom, but I didn't want to hear. I cried myself to sleep. I woke up to find Mom and Mommy standing by us. Mommy's hair was flat. That wasn't good.
"Morning."
"Morning."
"We have something we need to tell you girls." Mom said, sadly.
"What is it?" Confetti asked.
"Mommy and I are going to divorce."
"WHAT?! YOU CANT! YOU CANT DO THIS TO ME! DO YOU HAVE ANY IDEA HOW MUCH MORE PAIN THIS IS PUTTING ME THROUGH?! BEING BULLIED AND YOU GETTING DIVORCED IS- UGH! JUST FORGET IT!" I shouted, tears pouring out of my eyes. I ran out of the room and I flew to the clubhouse.
I started punching the ground, and I screamed at the top of my lungs. I sobbed and shouted. My hooves hurt from punching the ground, but I didn't care. Aunt Applejack came to see what was going on. I was angry and sad and hurt.
"Singsia?"
She grabbed me, and I kicked and screamed to get out of her grasp. She didn't let go.
"LET ME GO!" I screamed, at the top of my lungs. Aunt Rainbow came out here as well.
"Whoa! Whoa! Singsia calm down!" Aunt Rainbow shouted. Saddie and Mystery came running outside.
"Momma! What's wrong with her?" Saddie asked Aunt AJ.
"I don't know." Aunt Rainbow told her terrified daughters.
I eventually calmed down. Aunt AJ hugged me tightly, and I sobbed into her blonde mane. She stroked my mane.
"Shh. Singsia. Please calm down. Its okay."
"No it's not." I said into her mane.
I fell asleep in her arms. I woke up in the barn, to find a brown blanket covering me, and I saw Aunt Rainbow next to me. The clock by the wall said 12:30 am.
"You okay?" she asked me. I shook my head. I hugged her and cried into her mane. My throat was on fire, but I didn't care.
"Don't cry. Calm down and tell me what's wrong."
"Mom and Mommy are getting divorced." Her eyes widened at my words.
"Don't cry. They still love you."
"Bu.... but.... the.... they.... won't be to.... together anymore." I sobbed. Aunt AJ came into the room.
"What happened?"
"Can we talk outside please?" Rainbow asked Applejack. They went outside. I guess Aunt Rainbow told Aunt AJ they were getting divorced, because I heard a "WHAT" from outside.
"Let's get you home." Aunt AJ said to me. I flew home with Aunt Rainbow. She knocked on the door. Mommy came outside and she looked terrified. She hugged me.
"I was so worried. Thanks for bringing her home Rainbow. Actually, you need to bring her to Fluttershy's cottage. That's where she is. Confetti stays here with me and Singsia is gonna stay with Fluttershy."
"Okay."
"I CANT SEE MY SISTER EITHER?! WHAT DID I DO?! SOME PONY PLEASE TELL ME WHAT I DID TO DESERVE THIS! I WANT TO KNOW! WHAT DID I DO WRONG?!" I shouted.
"Singsia. Clam down." I flew ahead of Aunt Rainbow. I knew where the cottage was. When I got there, Mom came outside and hugged me tightly.
"Oh. I was so worried. Are you okay?" Did she seriously just ask that?!
"NO! IM NOT OKAY!" I shouted, tears pouring out of my eyes. I flew upstairs to the extra room Mom's cottage had. That was my room.
"Fluttershy. Please. Give her some time to cool down. If there's anything you or Pinkie need, I'm here for you." she said, then flew off. Mom came into the room, and sat on the edge of my bed.
"I'm sorry Singsia."
"Why? Just tell me why!"
"Your mother and I were fighting about money. It's tight now a days. She said I needed a job, and I said she needed to work more. I told her taking care of you girls was my job so she got mad and things just got out of hoof. I'm so sorry." I went and hugged her tightly.
"It's okay. You better get some sleep. You have school tomorrow."
"Okay." I layed down and shortly after, I fell asleep.
The next morning my friends and cousins said hi to me, happily. Confetti wasn't at school.
"Hi." I said, quietly with a sigh.
"Are you okay?" Shining Star asked me. I nodded my head. I didn't pay attention in class a lot.
I was sitting in class, when Miss Cheerilee called my name.
"Singsia."
"Huh?"
"Can you tell me what Celestia formed?" We were learning about the history of the Wonderbolts.
"E.U.P Guard." I said with a sigh.
"Are you okay?" I nodded my head.
"Alright then." she looked worried. Normally I was like Mommy. Happy, cheerful, and chatty. Lately, I was sad, depressed, and barely spoke.
"Come Singsia. Say something." Mystery begged me. She whispered of course, because we were still in class. The next minute the bell rang.
I wasn't hungry, so I didn't get my lunch from my locker. I left it there, and I went to lunch. I hadn't been very hungry lately. Ever since Mom and Mommy started fighting. The last time I had a full meal was like 2 weeks ago. I've had small snacks, because Mom forced me to eat, but I wasn't hungry. We sat down at the table.
"Aren't you gonna eat?" Banana Bread asked me. I shook my head.
"I'm not hungry." I laid my head down on the table.
"You haven't eaten for weeks."
"I'm just now hungry." Diamond the Bi- Nope can't use that language. Diamond the "female dog" walked over to me.
"I see you're not eating. Finally trying to lose weight I see."
"You've always been a little heavy." Silver Spoon said. I ran to the bathroom and cried. I heard my friends call my name. I had locked the door.
"Singsia please come out." I heard Saddie say.
"No!"
"Please."
"What's going on here?" I heard Miss Cheerilee ask.
"Singsia locked herself in the bathroom and won't come out." Button Mash said.
"Singsia. It's Miss Cheerilee. Can you please come out?"
"No. Not until every pony else leaves." Miss Cheerilee cleared every pony, until it was just her. In opened the door and came out.
"Can I please go somewhere for a while?" I asked Miss Cheerilee.
"Where?"
"To the clubhouse. That's where I express most of my feelings."
"Okay. Just this once, I'll let you leave early, but please be careful."
"I will."
I flew out of school, and went to the clubhouse, tears pouring out of my brown eyes.
First Day of School: Part 2
I went to my locker and got my brown lunch bag. I held it in my mouth and walked with my friends to the cafeteria. Too bad I can't levitate objects like a unicorn.
We sat down at the table. For lunch I had a daisy sandwich, grapes, and an apple juice box.
"So Button Mash. When did you move here?" Sweetie Belle asked him after taking a bite of her apple.
"I moved here last week."
"What do you like to do?" I asked him.
"I like playing video games."
I looked over at Sweetie Belle when he said this.
"Do you like MineCraft?" Sweetie Belle asked.
"Yeah."
"Me too!" she said, happily.
"So Scootaloo. How did you hit your head?" I asked, suspiciously.
"Oh. Uh. I don't really want to talk about it."
"Okay." I said, a little disappointed.
"Hey Blank Flank." Diamond Tiara said.
"Okay. That term is getting old. You need to pick a new one." I said, turning around. I turned back around and ate a grape.
"Whatever." After she said that, she walked away.
"Good job. You handled it well." Scootaloo said, smiling.
"Thanks."
"So what are we going to do after school?" Sweetie Belle asked.
"We could go to the clubhouse." Every pony agreed.
"You guys have a clubhouse?" Button asked.
"Uh huh. Hey! Maybe y'all could join us." Apple Bloom said, smiling.
"Sorry. I have a dentist appointment. Maybe next time."
"Okay." we said.
"So. How do you like it here so far?" Dinky asked Button.
"It's a really nice town."
"We're glad you like it." Snowdrop said, happily. I stared at my food and just moved it around a bit. I was pretty sad all of the sudden.
"What's wrong Singsia?" Dinky asked me.
"Huh? Oh sorry. I was just thinking."
"About what?" Scootaloo asked.
"I'll tell you when you tell me what really happened to your head."
"I told you. I hit on a table."
"Scoots. I'm not stupid. What really happened? You can tell me."
"No I can't."
"Why not? Why can't you trust me?" I asked, firmly.
"Because I don't want to hurt you."
"What do you mean?"
"If I tell you, you'll be heartbroken. I can't do that to a friend."
"You can tell me. I'll go first if you promise to tell me."
"Ok fine. I promise." she said, annoyed.
"Pinkie promise?" I asked.
"*sigh* Cross my heart and hope to fly. Stick a cupcake in my eye."
"Okay. It's not fair. I'm in 8th grade, and I still don't have my cutie mark."
"Don't worry. You'll get one." Sweetie Belle said.
"I know." I said, softly.
"Your turn." I said, looking at Scootaloo.
"Fine. I.... I jumped off a cliff."
"On purpose?" I asked, worriedly. She nodded her head.
"Why?!"
"I'll tell you at the clubhouse. Its a long story." she said, taking a sip of her orange juice.
"Okay." I said, drinking my apple juice. The bell rang a few minutes later.
The rest of the day was the same. Science, math, Diamond Tiara, the usual. I'm not sure why they put the first day of school on a Friday, but I'm pretty glad they did.
