Preparation for Nightmare Night and The Royal Wedding
Previous ChapterNext ChapterCHAPTER FIFTEEN: Preparation Nightmare Night and The Royal Wedding
I knocked on the door a few times. I was greeted by a surprised Silvermoon.
“Oh, wow!” She gasped.
I scratched the back of my head. “Yeah, we got ambushed by some of The Darkness. We really didn't see a point in taking it slow anymore seeing that they knew our plans.”
Silvermoon nodded her head. “Okay. Well, Solar's been a little angel! I had to go and pick up some things, so Fluttershy took care of him for an hour. She said he was the sweetest little guy she's ever seen!”
“She got it from you.” I said slyly.
Silvermoon blushed. “Come on in, you're letting in all the cold air.”
I kissed Silvermoon and looked around. “Where's Solar?”
“He's taking a nap on your side of the bed.”
I chuckled. “He's been sleeping with you ever since I was gone, hasn't he?”
Silvermoon blushed even more.
I swung my arm around her. “No problem. I'm tired, and need to take a nap as well. Might as well join him.”
I walked upstairs to sure enough, see Solar laying on his back sleeping peacefully on my side of the bed. I gently moved him over to Silvermoon's side, and laid on my back. I levitated Solar onto my chest before covering him up to his head so he could breath.
I felt Solar cuddle up into a little ball.
I smiled before closing my eyes. I loved the little guy, and I knew he loved me to.
When I woke up, Silvermoon had put her hooves on me and was shaking me slightly.
“What?” I asked.
“We just got an invitation to The Royal Wedding!”
My eyes widened. I looked to my chest to see Solar climbing off of me and sitting next to my legs. I got up.
“Really? That's awesome!” I said with a smile.
“I know, right? We have reserved seats in the front row with the others, you and the rest of the guys are also going to be joining Shining Armor for the Bachelor Party.”
I laughed. “Of course.”
“Thing is, Greg wasn't invited. I guess that's a good thing.”
I laughed again. “Of course it is! That guy knows how to party, but he can be a real pain in the a-”
Silvermoon faked a cough and pointed at Solar. He stared at her oddly.
“I mean... flank.”
Silvermoon rolled her eyes playfully, “I'll go and drop off Solar at Fluttershy's, and we can go out and get our dress clothes!”
“Oh joy...” I said.
Silvermoon dropped off Solar at Fluttershy's, and we went off to Rarity's house. Peter greeted us with a smile.
“S'up D! Haven't seen you an awhile! Hey Silvermoon!”
“Hey.” I said. Silvermoon waved her hoof.
“Where's Rarity?” I asked.
“Just getting some stuff prepared, including Lance's Nightmare Night costume.”
“He's getting it now? When The Royal Wedding is only a few weeks away?”
I rubbed my chin, stroking my goatee. “Maybe seeing as The Royal Wedding and Nightmare is so close together, we should probably be working towards getting our costumes and dress clothes done first.”
Silvermoon smiled, "Perfect!"
Rarity walked out of the curtains of her work place, waving.
“Bye Lance!” She said.
When Rarity turned around she gasped when she saw me and Silvermoon.
“Dorchester! Silvermoon! So good to see you two after such a long time!”
“Hey, think you could help me and Silvermoon with our Nightmare Night costumes and dress clothes for the royal wedding?” I asked.
“Oh, sure! No problem! Just tell me what you want, and I'll get on it straight away!”
I motioned my hoof over to Silvermoon so she could decide first.
What a gentlecolt you are!
Nah, I just haven't thought of anything to wear yet!
Ha!
“Oh, well... I'll just go as a clown I guess. Something foal friendly, because I know whatever you've got stormed up in that head of yours won't be.” Silvermoon glared at me.
I grinned.
“Give me a piece of paper and a pencil. I want to draw out what I want.” I said.
Rarity levitated a piece of paper and a pencil to me. David got up from the couch and looked over my shoulder as I drew my costume.
“Your kidding!” He gasped.
“Oh my...” Silvermoon said.
When I finished, I levitated the piece of paper to Rarity who then took it in her magic.
“Oh my! This is terribly simple, yet somewhat horrifying!” Rarity gasped.
“You are seriously going as him?” David asked.
I laughed. “Of course I am! Just don't mention it to the other guys okay? I want it to be a surprise.”
David chuckled. “But wait, isn't your Xaxas form like... really, really hot to the touch?”
I looked over to Rarity. “Think you can put a heat proof charm onto my costume?” I asked.
Rarity waved her hoof. “Oh, yeah sure! No problem!”
“Thanks, come on Silvermoon. Let's go and get our Royal Wedding Attire while we're out.”
Meanwhile...
“At least we gave it a shot.”
“That's the spirit!”
“Nightmare... have I... grown soft?” Luce watched as Annabel and Discord lay back to back on the barrier. Still separated by the glass, but their backs would be leaning up against each other if the barrier wasn't there.
“Of course not!” Nightmare said.
“I guess you're right. I've just grown bored of waiting, that's all.” Luce said.
Yeah... that's all... just growing impatient. Luce thought. He glanced down at Nightmare who was sitting, watching the bored Annabel and Discord.
Luce chuckled. “Might as well add to their little punishment.”
There was a sudden snap, and hundreds of red, biting ants began to pour through a portal in both Annabel's and Discord's cages. The ants began to snap at their skin, making the two cry out in agony as hundreds of ants climbed on their bodies.
“Now, hold each other! For each passing moment will be the last your souls will ever witness!” Luce hissed.
The barrier vanished, Discord and Annabel hugged each other.
“Oh my god, Discord!” Annabel gasped. The two embraced each other, forgetting all about the ants.
“Annabel! I thought I would never see yo- MMPH!”
Discord was caught off guard as Annabel kissed him on the lips.
Luce smirked. He enjoyed watching the couple show their affection for each other.
“It will only make the parting hurt more...” Luce growled.
When Annabel released her mouth from Discord, his mouth was gaping.
“I love you, Discord.” Annabel said.
“I love you to, Annabel.” Discord said.
“Oh, such love! Such affection for one another! How grand! How great! How pleasing it is to have someone who CARES FOR YOU!” Luce roared. He made it so the two could hear him, and he could hear them.
“You have no love Luce! That's the one major thing you lack!” Discord said.
“There is no love! There is no light! There is only darkness and power!”
“Dorchester will stop you!” Annabel challenged.
“Ha! It was pure luck that saved him! Nothing else! He got his chance, now there is nothing to stop him! He threw away his past feelings for Luna! He redeemed himself! He cannot do it again!”
“He'll find a way! He has so far...” Discord said.
“He can run all he likes, thinking he has weakened me in any way. It will all amount to his hopes, and then it will all be washed down as he realizes that all he did, everything everyone thought he was...”
Luce paused.
“Everything everyone thought he was... was nothing.”
