PROLOGUE

“To whom it may concern, I speak to you at an urgent time. If you are seeing this message, it means the ancient beasts the people of my world knew as Titans have awakened on your world.

My name is Eren Jaeger. I am, or rather was, as I will most likely be dead by the time you see this, a member of an organization known as the Survey Corps, dedicated to the extermination of the Titans, a species of uninteligent carnivorous humanoids. When we realized the Titans were too numerous to wipe out completely, we, along with a man named Simon and his friends, sealed them away deep within the heart of this world.

But, we knew this would not be a permanent solution, so we stored along with them a weapon of incredible power. Known simply as Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann, it is a mechanical suit of armor 10 million light-years tall that requires at least five pilots. Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann can separate into smaller mechanical suits called Gunmen, each with their own unique weapons and abilities.

If the Titans are attacking when you see this, know that you have a fighting chance, and put your faith in the Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann. The first nine intelligent life forms to see this message shall become the new Team Dai Gurren, the pilots of Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann.
