Jeremiah, is a serial killer. according to the papers, he slaughtered 32,000 people across 48 states for 18 years. he can use anything as a weapon, and is bat-shit crazy. he despises everything that has to do with harmony. he kills purely for the enjoyment of killing.

so he gets caught, and as a way to get out of 1 of his 999 lifetimes in jail, he volunteers to be a test subject for a new device, which could open a portal to a different dimension. armed with an arsenal of weapons, he enters and all communications taper off.

he wakes up in a hospital, with several multicolored ponies looming over him.

this is my interpretation of HiE fics. i find it ridiculous that every human who ends up in equestria ends up as a prisoner or a test subject, and they don't do crap.
