Jay walked down the hall to the rooms his new students were sleeping in. Under one arm was a box of brand new flash bang grenades. He was in his uniform and had a twisted smile on his face as he opened the first door. Then the next then the next. Until all six where opened the regular night guard in charge of watching the girls looked on puzzled. He handed him a set of ear plugs. "Put them in this will be loud."

He then pulled out some grenades, and started pulling the pins tossing the grenades in. After a few seconds six load bangs echoed in the room causing the thestral pony to lay his ears back, even with the plugs it hurt his ears. The next sound was screams and panicked shrieks as the girls stumble out of the rooms in a panic.

"Rise and shine grunts! Welcome to the first day of your new life! From now on your to be have gotten up, used the bathroom, showered, and dressed in uniform by oh fivehundred hours every morning! Those that fail to do this will get a flash bang revelry every time they sleep in! Am I clear you grunts!" Shouted Captain Johnson with a sinister smile on his face.

The reply he got was a set moans and complaining. He chuckled as he walked by "Breakfast is in five minutes! Your not down there by then you don't get any!" he shouted again.

He walked by the guard and whispers "Keep the plugs if your going to be here every morning." The guard nodded and looked back at the young mares feeling a lot more sorry for them then he first did.

Canterlot dinning hall 5:04 AM

The girls in there matching school uniforms, consisting of a pearl white t-shirt and knee socks, with a midnight blue neck-kerchief and skirt, with black hoof shoes and beret. Celestia smirked as they ran in barely making it in time to get food.

Luna smiled and spoke "Welcome students. I take it the good captain has informed you of you new wake up time." The death glares aimed at the captain eating a stack of pancakes made Luna giggle.

Celestia smiled "It seems they are not happy about his methods of rousing them. Come girls sit and eat with us." said Celestia.

"Oh yes do join us. I made sure Jay put the flash bangs away. Specially cause he wouldn't share them with me." said Discord from a table on the ceiling.

"I told you Discord you want to play with our toys, you have the past the test." Said Jay with a I got you where I want you smile.

The girls sat at the table as there plates were brought out. "Wait we don't get to pick our meal?" asked Diamond.

"Nope you eat what your given and all of it." The girls start with pancakes but only Scootaloo ate the mystery food on there plates. It looked like hay bacon but was red not tan as well as brown rolls of something that they could not identify.

"Hey Scoots, what is the other thing on our plate besides eggs and pancakes?" asked Sweetie Belle

"That's meat, bacon and sausage. Rainbow started eating it after having breakfast with May one day. I tried it at her house since I ate fish anyway so figured it wouldn't hurt and if Rainbow liked it..." said Scootaloo.

"Ewww I'm not eating meat. It's barbaric." said Diamond

"Yeah." added Silver.

"What kind of meat is it?" Asked Babs as she took a bite. And made a show of eating it with her mouth open in front of Diamond.

"Bacon is pork, pig meat, the sausage is turkey less greasy and healthier." said Jay. "And chew with your mouth closed Babs. Just cause I don't mind crude language doesn't mean I tolerate bad table manners. So mouth closed as you eat. Diamond Tiara Silver Spoon stop whining and eat what your given. If you ever deployed to other nations or wilderness areas. You might have to eat what's available and not what you like to eat. And if complain again I'll make snake and spider stew for lunch."

Even Discord recoiled at that idea of lunch.

Celestia cleared her throat. "After breakfast you have thirty minutes to your selves before your morning classes with me start during this time I recommend writing your families and friends. Also inform them that any gift packages are restricted to food and/or hygiene products. Now finish eating." said Celestia.

I will be starting my first day soon. They gave us cute uniforms to wear and we have 30 minutes ever morning to write to our families and friends. But right now there is not much to say. Well the captain is a jerk he tossed grenades in our room to wake us up this morning... Not the dangerous ones I saw the box it said training flash bangs. My ears where ringing and those where just the training ones! The real thing would take out some ponies hearing for good. He also said he will keep doing it to any pony that sleeps in. I have a feeling Diamond will get it the most, hopefully. Well tell mom and dad I love them and tell Fritz I will try and send him a pic of me and the rest of us in uniform soon.

Well I can now say there is a worse wake up call then Mr. Rooster. The captain had found it. I am never sleeping past 4:30 AM ever again. I had meat for the first time. It was different not bad just different. I could get used to but what the captain said he would make for lunch scares me. Snake and spider stew. I hope that Diamond doesn't complain about the food from now on or we will have to eat stranger things. Then pig or turkey meat. I now know why Fritz never talks about when the captain cooks. He is one of the humans that are princess Twilight Sparkle's new guards. He was knocked out and foalnapped by school bullies. Long story short the bullies and us crusaders have all been arrested. Thankfully we got of light with just having to go through a special guard training and two years of service. Lot better then the alternatives. Any way you can send me food and hygiene supplies. I'll see if I can send you a picture of me in my new uniform. I'll probably be stationed in Ponyville given the drill instructor is from the harmony guard. Twilight was excited to be presiding over a herd union for the first time. Equestrian military tradition had that ether the highest ranking officer or one of the princesses do so. Most of the time it was Cadence or Celestia. Now she got to do one herself.

To her right stood the groom, Pierre in his formula uniform, and full set of of magic manacles and chains being maintained by Sunset and Trixie sitting with most of his unit and Twilight's friends so Pierre had some support on his side of the aisle. Big Tom was standing by Pierre's side holding a set of rings on pillow in one hand the other resting on his side arm.

Twilight remembered what he had told to Pierre early to... encourage him for this moment. "Pierre if you say anything or do anything to ruin this and brake those poor mares hearts I will Personally blow your brains out of that thick skull of yours. We clear?"

Twilight was eighty percent sure he was joking at least she hoped so. But this was a happy day. Besides she'd skin him alive herself before he can shoot him... she blinked and shook her head. She was hanging around the humans too much.

The music started and the brides started down one by one. First was Cloud Kicker. She looked grate in the dress Rarity had made. She looked as nervous as Pierre did. Next came Roseluck smiling wide enough to rival Pinkie Pie' s last to appear was Lovestruck a unicorn that looked way to much like Twilight making her look at Pierre with a raised brow.

The mares took there places and Twilight cleared her throat and spoke. "We are gathered here today to official unite this herd. Before the sun and moon. In love and harmony. "I do!" They all said as one though it was clear by the tones in there voices one was nervous and another sounded like she was in a fantasy.

May sitting in the first row with a French to English dictionary smiled. "He said he dose." she called out.

With that said Sunset and Trixie cut Pierre free of there spell in time for them to tackle him and kiss him. Tom set the rings down as each put one on before they slipped one on Pierre's finger.

The six student's where board. They now all understood why Twilight would slip in to a lecture so easily.....

Because that was how she was taught. Celestia was a nice pony, a fair kind ruler, and vary a attractive. But her way of teaching was... Well talk it into your skull or let you figure it our by experience. And that is what the first half of there first day was. Celestia talking, and talking, and talking, and talking. She would ask questions from time to time but she mostly just ran her mouth. All six mares had the same thought. This was how Twilight learned most everything she new before going to Ponyville. No wounder she talks in dictionary.

"Now who knows what is the difference between the Pony's body and that of a Griffin's? Yes Scootaloo."said Celestia.

"Ponies body tho evolved from a herbivore species can ingest meat as well as most plants. Cause we had a evolutionary stage as scavenger gathers in which we evolved hands to grasp and use tools. While griffins have a diet of meat and fruits because the evolved from a predator race." Said Scootaloo surprising everypony.

"How did you learn that? You sleep thorough most of our classes!" asked Sweetie Belle

"Rainbow was talking about it with May last week." said Scootaloo

The rest of the crusaders facepalmed in sync and groan. "Of course it had to do with Rainbow Dash." said Babs.

Celestia giggled at this before going back to her lecture.

"Ok now I know where Twilight gets her lectures from." Said Scootaloo as they walked in.

"Y'ah ba'tween Celestia and all them books she reads. How can she not do that?" Agree Apple Bloom as the group took there seats.

"Wonder what for lunch? Hope the captain didn't make good on that threat of stew." said Babs.

"Well at lest he is not making me cook." said Sweets.

"Yeah." They all agreed.

Diamond Sat pouting Silver looked at worried.

She leaned over and whispered "What's wrong Diamond?"

She sighed and looked at her friend. "I don't understand why daddy hasn't got us out yet. I'm sure he has the money to." She whispered back

The trays placed in front of her with a lid spooked her she looked up to see the captain next to a cart and a feeling of dread washed over her about the mystery lunch.

"Your daddy's money can't get you out of this girl, no amount of bits can. Something money can't buy. You have to earn them your self through hard work." He said be for taking the last try and sitting at the end of the table with in arms reach of both Diamond and Babs. "Ok girls eat up."

Everyone hesitated about uncovering there lunch. The captain had a sandwich of some kind but the smell of cooked food under there tray covers told them he had different lunch then they did. Scootaloo was the first to open hers she sighs to see a fried fish with broccoli tops smothered in cheese. Every one opened there trays to find the same thing.

"Thanks for not making that stew captain." said Babs.

"Just eat you got twenty minutes before I get your flanks for three hours." He said between mouth fills of his lunch. That prompted them all to start eating.

"I can't believe the good captain was so rough with them." said Rarity.

"That's not rough my drill instructor turned the fire hose on any one that slept in. I thought my bones where damp after the first time he did it." Said Fritz.

Sofie chuckled, "Mine fired blanks from a machine gun in to our bunk. I think five of us shit ourselves."

"Buck and I thought we had it bad when mine used a bullhorn." said Flash.

"Well at lest Apple bloom is taking it well." Said AJ

"Hey fritz, there is something in Scootaloo's letter you should see." Said Rainbow Dash with a lecherous grin as she handed him the letter.

He read over letter then went so red that he got a nose bleed.

"Yeah I thought you would like to hear that." Said Rainbow Dash with a amused tone.

"I'm going to go run some drills in the simulators, Flash you too. Your scores have a long way to go, if you want to get a Mobile Suit before their little sisters do." Said Fritz as he walked off holding his nose.

Flash moaned "Yes sir chief." As he followed along.

Sofie looked at Dash and asked "What is in that letter?"

"Scoots just said she was going to send him a few personnel pics of herself when she can." explains Dash.

"Ohhhh." Said everyone.

"My word that girl has taken to being adventurous hasn't she." said Rarity.

"Ok, ok, that's enough. You three have you own lesson to get back to. Remember unlike your siblings you just need to be able to defend yourselves. In a mobile suit. Well except you Rainbow Dash as the only wonder bolt getting Suit training you are going have to be combat capable and performance capable. So back to our lesson." said Sofie

Guard training grounds.

Many of the regular guards off duty have gathered to watch the training methods of the human. Some have all ready heard of the special diet and wake up the mares now running laps have been getting. But all agree that they are thankful the never had him as a drill instructor.

"Come on! Lift those hooves Grunts! I've seen turtles run faster! Tiara! Spoon! Get the lead out of your hooves! Your earth ponies show that strength your suposed to have! Scoots I thought you said you where fast! I'm Running backwards and you can't keep up!" Shouted Jay through a bullhorn. As he ran backwards around the track in full plate ahead of the six mares.

Scootaloo was in front huffing and puffing her lungs out. A few steps behind her was Apple Bloom her life on the farm allowing her to keep up. Then was Babs and Sweetie both out of shape but still used to a good amount of running. Last where Diamond and Silver both in vary poor shape.

Five laps latter the six mares collapse on the grass. Jay smiles, and spoke "Good now that your all on the ground give me. Fifty sit ups." ordered Jay

The girls groaned as they began to do there sit ups.

"Buck that human is a slave driver. Did he tell the princesses he was going to put them through?" said one guard nearby

"Which one? Celestia, Luna or Twilight? I want to know why they do those exercises when they got those giant magic armors?" said the other

Jay looked right at the two guards. "Simple a mobile suit can't clear a building, or disarm traps and bombs. Every pilot has to be able to fight on foot. Or on Hoof in this case. They also have to withstand high G-forces. So fat slackers like you two defiantly aren't going to get to pilot one." said Jay

The two guard growled at him. But did nothing cause he out ranked them.

After another hour of PT the girls could barely move he gave them a rest as he set up for the next part. "Ok Grunts time to learn how to use a gun I blocked of the range so only a idiot would cross it. That said if you see Blueblood just keep shooting." Said The captain. Many of the Guards still around chuckled.

He laid out six rifles and pistols. "These are the basic automatic rifle and pistol. Later I will show you how to load field strip and maintain them. But to day we will just work on shooting. Step up and pick up a pistol. That's the smaller one." said the captain.

The girls did as they where told.

The captain spoke again. "Now rule one never point a gun at someone or something unless your willing to shoot. Rule two don't point it at your self. Rule three treat any gun like it's loaded." said Captain Johnson.

The rest of the day till dinner was the constant sound of gun shots as he taught them to shoot.

The girls more laid then sat at the table waiting for the food.

"No wonder his unit are so epic. They make the wonder bolts training Dash told me about look light." said Scootaloo

Diamond groaned "I think I would rather been banished."

"Dungeon sounds like a five start hotel right now." said Silver.

The clicking of trays in front of them singled there food was there. It was soup rice and some soft dough buns of some kind. All easy to eat. None of them asked what the food was and ate it quickly before taking there remaining dinner time to sleep or rest, before Luna's lessons.

Their first day is nearly done.

Luna stood at the door with Jay and Celestia. "Should I get the grenades?" asked Jay

"Neigh I shell wake them when it's time. You two go relax."

"Thank you sister." said Celestia

"Sure thing saves me some for tomorrow.... let me know if they have nightmares of me." Said Jay as he left a few steps behind Celestia.

"Captain Johnson. Would you care to join me for some tea. I have finished with court and would like some company." Celestia asked.

"I'm not much for tea. But I'm always one for good company. Especially when there a good kisser." Said Jay with a grin.

Celestia giggled "Your awful forward Captain."

"Ma Pappy always said, Better to be forward then to look back and regret it." said Jay.

"I see. So that's why you have so much confidence. You pick a direction in life and follow it till you goal is reached." Said Celestia who had slowed so that she was walking next to him.

"When I was young I wanted to take over the family farm despite my small size I worked hard. Then the federation took that from me along with ma' family. So I set my sights on ending it, and eventually joined the Zeon." he said.

Celestia set a wing over him as act of comfort. "And your goal now?" she asked.

"Hehe, long run. To help Equestria reach the stars. Short term whip those kids in to respectable adults. Right now..." He moved closer wrapping a arm around her waist. Her swaying stride making her gently bump his side with her hip. "Enjoy your lovely company." He said winking at her.

Celestia blushed at this but her height keep it hidden from him. She had kissed him the day they met on stage. It was only a joke to bug the stuck up nobles. But it felt so good. She hadn't kiss any pony like that seance the time of Star Swirl and his mirror... she felt the firm yet gentle arm around her waist and the bump she made with her hip every other step. This closeness, she hadn't had it in a long time. She tightened her wing around him. "Jay lets have tea in my room the balcony has a wonderful view of my sisters moon rise." said Celestia

"That sounds like lovely idea, Celly." he said.

This time she could not hid the blush. She rested her hand on his shoulder his arm slid a little lower on her just so her swaying hips rubbed along it.

Guards watching them as they walked by, had to use all there willpower not to brake composure. It was clear when her room door magically locked behind them that the big topic among the guard tomorrow was not going to be Captain Johnson's training methods.

The one guard looked at the other. "Did princess Celestia just lock herself in her room with the Knight Captain of her former student?"

The other guard looked at him. "I'm just happy she picked a guard rather then a noble. Even if he is not a pony he will at lest treat her as she needs to be. And he strikes me as somepony that is a leader by necessity not choice."

The first guard then asked "That makes a difference?"

"As big a difference as there is between Prince Blueblood and General Firefly." Said the other guard before returning to his stoic posture.

"I see. Thank you sergeant. I hope when I have served as long as you have, I can help new guards like you helped me." Said the first guard.

"Well said private. Your on your way to be a great guard." Said the older one before both fell back in there duty.

Back with the Luna and the girls.

Luna took a deep breath. "WAKE UP YOU SILLY FOALS YOU STILL HAVE MUCH TO DO BEFORE THY CAN REST!" she blared in her royal Equestria voice. Make them stumbled out of chairs.

"Ok I'm not sure what is worse. Luna waking us or Captain Johnson doing it." Mumbled Babs to her self as hers and every pony else's ears where ringing. Luna giggled as she waited for them to recover and line up.

Once that was done she spoke. "Greetings fillies from now till nine o'clock I will teach you how to use your magics and how to defend your selves. From what I understand Apple Bloom has some training in the latter field all ready. Now let us begin follow me please."

The rest of the day was spent with Luna first explaining how each tribe's magic works then her teaching the them basics of the guard's hand to hand techniques. By the time nine o'clock rolled around the girls where all to happy to go to bed given Luna raised the moon during there training.
