Assassin at Heart
Chapter 2: Found out? Part 2
Previous ChapterNext ChapterFluttershy was on top of a fairly high building in Manehatten, a smile upon her yellow face. After a short period of fiddling with her hidden blade, she crouched down, as if ready to pounce, and proceeded to creep to the edge of the building. Narrowing her eyes, she glanced around the street below trying to see each and every face, until her eyes landed upon her target, a light blue unicorn reading a scroll, smug expression on his face. She figured that was the scroll she needed and that he was the unicorn needed to be killed killed. He was reading over evidence of the Assassins Creed, she wasn't sure what kind of evidence though. There location? The identities of her brothers and sisters? Either way, he was to be killed.
A small grin was still present on the yellow mares face, as she quickly crept away from the edge and proceeded to follow the stallion from the rooftops. Jumping from roof to roof, using her wings to keep her steady as she did so. she couldn't fly as she would be seen very easily. Once the blue stallion was close enough to the building Fluttershy had waited on after jumping ahead of the stallion, she quickly leaped off the structure, assuming an almost bipedal stance in mid-air, her hoofs to her side, pointed outward with blades protruding out from under her cloaks sleeves. She had her wings out as to not descend down to the crowded streets to quickly. She slowly tilted her body forward to assume a position better for the job. At a moments notice, her duel hidden blades dug deep into the stallions neck, followed by his gurgled screams of pain, blood sprayed over Fluttershys forelegs and face. She was now dimly aware of ponies screaming out for the guards. Ruining the moment, she heard a shrill scream behind her, a very loud, window shattering scream. Her ears flattened against her head and she took the scroll, shoving it into a pouch around her waist. Licking blood from her lips, she turned her head around to try and see who had nearly deafened her and as her hood fell off from around her head. she looked back at her friend, Rarity, wide eyed. Rarity seemed to have tears in her eyes at that moment.
Fluttershy stumbled back with wide eyes. Rarity seemed to attempt to piece together a sentence, but only managed to mumbled Fluttershys name in disbelieve, staring at her friend in shock. Fluttershy quickly beat her wings up and down, shooting into the air and gliding over to a three story building, and sprinting off towards the opposite end of said building just as guards arrived at the scene of the assassination. Fluttershy had a steady stream of tears flowing from her eyes, as she ran off towards the train station. Just as it began to snow, she had reached the station. After a quick glance and she chose to enter a red painted, empty ,train car. After entering, she closed the large metal door, and sighed in relief.
"Dammit, dammit, dammit." The pink-maned mare mumbled to herself. " Of all ponies, why did it have to be Rarity?" She tried to think on the bright side. "Maybe she didn't notice my face? Maybe, she was just looking at the body of that noble scum? Uhg, no... of course she wasn't." She hung her head in self defeat.
She was going to go to the creeds hideout to get her payment, but just decided to do what most did, and wait until the creed heard news that the target was assassinated and send money to the assassin sent to kill them. The scroll was to be burned once home in ponyville. Speaking of, would she be like most of her brothers and sisters of the creed? Found out? On the lamb? Would she lose her friends? She was never really shy, but just tried to seem as though she was because making friends outside of the creed could mean bad things. She didn't ever find out how she was even the element of kindness. If anything, she enjoyed killing ponies. She winced as the train began to move, the sound of the train moving assaulting her sensitive ears. She just sighed, smiled, and let the soft thumps of the train lull her to sleep. She would cross that bridge when it came to it. Or burn it. Her smile turned into a wide grin. That was her 500th kill, at least objective wise, there was always bystanders who got in the way, or guards.
Fluttershy woke up and scrunched up her face, before yawning cutely. She frowned as she felt the blood around her face had clotted and was dry. She tried to rub off some of the sticky flakes of red, but failed to do so. She slowly got up to her hooves and opened the cart door, slowly slipping out of the train car. She made her way to her cottage quickly as possible, at least as quickly as she could since she still had some sleep left in her eyes. She landed in the backyard of her cottage after almost being seen by multiple ponies on the way.
She calmly walked into the small home as she removed her cloak, and lazily walked through her cottage to the cleaning area. She removed the small sacks from her cloak, before using a special soap she made to clean out the blood from the white cloak. After hanging it up to dry, she walked over to a small couch, and sat next to her bunny, angel, and began to think in more detail about what happened, but before she could, she fell right back to sleep on the soft couch.
