Chapter 3: The Third One

Previous Chapter

Fluttershy wakes to the feeling of prodding at her side. Cracking her eyes open, she smiles warmly at the sight of Angel Bunny holding a letter in his mouth. The letter bulged and Angel seemed to have trouble holding it up. He grumpily drops the letter onto the couch before hopping off of the couch. Fluttershy moves the letter in front of her and begins to pry it open. Fluttershy was please to see about ten golden bits tumble out of the envelope. She liked surprises, though not the kind that would startle her. She wasn't a scared, but she had to give an almost physical effort not to lash out and, well, hurt someone. She would go into a sort of 'battle' mode and, full of adrenaline, she would quickly move behind something for safety, though a lot of the time she would be a bit more 'dramatic' for the sake of the facade she always kept up.

Digging a little deeper into the envelope, she pulled out a piece of parchment folded in two. She unfolded it and began to read the letter, the words seemed to written by a type writer, most likely for ultimate anonymity.

Fluttershy skimmed the letter after realizing the writer was most likely young. They enjoyed attention and would write letters detailing the reason why they wanted someone dead a little too much. Digging into the envelope again she pulled out a small square picture of a pony. He was young, maybe fourteen to sixteen. He was dressed in a generic 'jock' jacket. His mane was dark blue and his coat was a very light gray. His cutie mark was an (American, just in case you know of the OTHER football) football with air streaks behind it as if it was flying through the sky. His sinister smile seemed to emit 'I will mess you up and take your girl'. Fluttershy was almost giddy on her hooves that she was hired to kill someone would grow up to do horrible things. Though, she would not admit that, not that she had anyone to admit that to. The creed wasn't what it used to be a few hundred years ago. Heck, it was mostly only called a 'Creed' because it was just what is was called. The long and short of it was that the world became nicer. The creed grew apart. It almost didn't exist and the only reason she said she was part of the creed was because of her bloodline. She was one of few, but at least the guard were HORRIBLE at their job. The amour they wore provided no protection, and was only for show. The biggest lead they ever got was how to contact her. They sent letters pretending to be people who wanted her services. Asking her to meet them places, which she never complied to, or putting a hit on a guard and guarding that guard to catch her. They stopped after she killed the guard. She thought their stupidity was on a whole new level. She thought they would at least attempt to follow the letter when they sent it. Maybe they had, she did have very good ponies redirecting all the letters sent to 666ASNTN to her home.

She guessed he wanted it done by Monday after he said he was waiting for the weekly paper. Since it was Tuesday, she would think of some kind of excuse to leave by Wednesday to Neigh York. But now, she just got up off the couch and went on with her day.
