Princess Celestia rose the sun, to let Equestria greet another beautiful day.
Not too far from Canterlot, sat a quaint little town, known as Ponyville.
It was a lovely little town, with the beautiful views of farmland, known as Sweet Apple Acres on one side of town,
Carousel Boutique near town square, and more beautiful houses, even City Hall right in the center of town.
Just right on the outskirts of town, sat a beautiful cottage.
It had two stories on the inside, so it was perfect for a view of the forest.
And on the outside, it sat near a stone way path, on the two trees near the front entrance, hung a couple of birdhouses on each branch.
There was also, an open field in the backyard, so animals, birds, even reptiles and bugs, can live in the little home.
On the rooftops, was grass growing near the windows, which were big enough for a squirrel, or a bird to say good morning.
The owner of the lovely house, was a beautiful Pegasus mare, with a coat, as bright as the morning sun, mane and tail, pink like a rose in bloom, pink butterflies on both sides of her flank for her cutie mark, and eyes like the calm and peaceful sea,which were soft and gentle to anypony who would meet her.
They were a bright greenish blue. And her name was Fluttershy.
On this fine morning, she was in the chicken coop, feeding the hens their morning breakfast.
When she had put the bag away in the pantry inside, a small white rabbit came hopping to her from behind It was her pet, Angel .
Hearing the sound of his tiny paws ,Fluttershy turned around, and said, in her soft voice, "Oh, good morning Angel."
When the bell in the clock tower began to ring, Fluttershy and Angel went to the front window, to see what time it was.
The clock struck seven am. "It's time to go to the Butterfly Grove, Angel."
Fluttershy, and Angel walked out of the cottage, and into town.
Fluttershy had always loved the Butterfly Grove, it was a beautiful field with all different colors of butterflies, flying by.
She even added a beautiful couch, with magenta velvet on the golden wood, to relax while she watches them fly.
She always wanted to have some company with her, so they can feel the same inspiration she feels, that's why Angel came along with her.
They were passing through a lovely gingerbread house like bakery, called Sugarcube Corner, where the Cakes baked their most yummy treats.
Fluttershy had decided to stop there for vanilla cupcakes for her, and a carrot cake for Angel.
She walked inside, when something caught her eye.
It was a yellow Earth pony filly, sitting at a nearby table, with a pink bow on her red mane, and no cutie mark on her flank.
She was sobbing uncontrollably.
Knowing the look on the pony's face, Fluttershy walked up to her and asked, "Apple Bloom, what's wrong?"
Hearing the sound of Fluttershy calling her name, Apple Bloom looked up to her, and said with a sniffle, "Fluttershy, I'm not a special somepony."
"Why would you say that?"
"Because I don't have my cutie mark".
Seeing this as an opportunity to comfort her, Fluttershy put a wing around Apple Bloom, and with the wing, softly stroked her.
"Hey why don't you come with me and Angel? And along the way, why don't you tell me who keeps telling you you're not special?"
"Okay Fluttershy."
Fluttershy and Apple Bloom, got up from the table, bought their treats, and walked out of the bakery.
"Well you see, it all started yesterday, after school. Diamond Tiara and Sliver Spoon walked right up to me when I was walking home."
"What did they tell you?"
"They told me that I'm just a pony with no special talent, that I can't do anything right, and I may never earn my cutie mark."
"But your sister told me that you did a good job rebuilding her old clubhouse."
"She did?"
"And Twilight told me that Scootaloo is a great dancer, and Sweetie Belle is a great singer and songwriter."
"Really?"
"Trust me, I know what it's like when bullies pick on you, and tell you you're not special, and you may never find your talent".
"You do?"
"Oh yes, when I was your age, I was very shy, and bullies picked on me all the time."
"I bet they called you a blank flank."
" Yes, and they also told me I'll never be able to fly. And it was true, at flight camp, I couldn't get my wings off the clouds."
"Who stood up for you?"
"Rainbow Dash, of course. Up until recently, she was the only friend I had."
"That sounds sad."
"It did at first, but I got used to it. One day at camp, I tripped on the ring trying to fly, and crashed landed. The other two Pegasus colts laughed at me. Rainbow Dash defended me. The colts challenged her to a race, and I got to start it. When I waved the flag, telling them to go, they flew right passed me, and I fell of the cloud."
"And then you were rescued by butterflies."
"That's right, I had never seen the ground, or the creatures who make it their home. I opened my wings and I began to fly. When I heard an explosion in the sky, the animals began to scatter. I calmed them down by talking to them, that's how I discovered my talent, and my cutie mark appeared. And as an animal caretaker, it's my job to check on the butterflies from time to time."
Fluttershy, Apple Bloom, and Angel turned a corner near a meadow, and there, was the Butterfly Grove
"It's beautiful, Fluttershy".
"Isn't it though?" "There are thousands of butterflies here, and each one is different, you might say they're special."
"Just like me?"
"Of course you're special, Apple Bloom."
Fluttershy and Apple Bloom, and Angel, enjoyed the day watching butterflies flying by them, and eating treats.
They also played games with the butterflies.
As soon as the clock struck noon, Fluttershy, and Angel, walked Apple Bloom home.
"I had a good day with you and Angel, Fluttershy."
"Please come with us again sometime."
After they went back to the cottage, Fluttershy, fixed lunch for her, the animals, and of course, Angel.
