"Well Night,your vitals are stabalized which means you can be discharged this afternoon."Said Doctor Scalpel.

Twilight,Twilight Velvet and Night Light breathe a breath of relief.It had been over a month since Night Light was hospitalized.Twilight and Shining Armor had visited their father three times a week.All of the nursing and tender loving care had paid off and Night Light made a quick recovery.

Doctor Scalpel's face turned serious."But beware,rapid and irregular heart rhythm can happen anytime.So,it is vital to take your medicine on time and not to skip it."

"Thank you,Scalpel.I'll start working tomorrow."Said Night Light to his old friend.

Velvet lightly hit his husband on the hoof."You'll do no such thing.Work and stress won't help a bit in your recovery."

"She's right,Night.Work won't help.Take a long vacation to ease your tension."

"It's just that tomorrow me and Blueblood ar going to perform the first operation to cure a flightless pegasus.His never done this without me.He might need me."

"He'll be fine on his own.You said it yourself that he's one of the skilled surgeon you've ever encountered.He even discovered the cure with you.Don't worry."Night Light was still unsure."Now,if you'll excusee me I have to visit another patient."With that Doctor Scalpel exited the room.

Twilight was a little bit shocked that Blueblood had discovered the cure with her father.Maybe,there's more to him then meets the eye.

She turned her attention towards her father.She gave him a warm nuzzle."I'm so glad your going to be alright dad."

"That means I can escort you down the aisle."Said Night Light cheerfully.

Twilight mood became sour at the mention at the wedding but she still put on a fake smile."Yeah."

"Ah..I just remembered I have some notes about the syrgery that Blueblood will be doing on my desk.Can you give it to him.I think he's at the pediatric wing.You might find him in the playroom.If you can't find him then,ask one of the doctor's to put the notes on his desk."

"Sure."

"Oh and remember sweety you and Blueblood will meet your friends at the castle to discuss about the wedding preperations."Said Twilight Velvet.Twilight had asked her friends to take on the role that they had take during her brother's wedding.

Twilight couldn't hold it in anymore."I KNOW."Said Twilight as she slammed the door.

Being the daughter of the hospital's director.She knew her way around the hospital from all her visits during when she was a filly.After grabbing her father's notebook,she head towards the playroom in the pediatric wing.

She reached in front of the door but she didn't open it.Instead,she went in front of the window and saw Blueblood sitting in front of a group of fillies and foals and showing them a strange device.The children all were amazed at the metal contraption that looked like a dog.Blueblood had explained earlier that it was called a 'robot.'

He pushed a button on the robot dog's side and it moved foward while wagging its tail and barking.That was nice of Blueblood,Twilight thought.Blueblood smiled as the fillies and colts marveled at his invention.She then noticed his eyes darted at a pegasus filly with a red coat and blue mane.She wasn't paying attention to the robot like the other children but instead she was looking at the floor with a frown on her face.

Blueblood went to her and put a hoof on her shoulder."Butter Jelly,what's wrong?"

Butter Jelly faced Blueblood."Nothing."

"Hey,don't be like that tell me what's wrong.Are you afraid of the surgery tomorrow."

"No,I'm actually afraid that...the surgery won't cure me and if it did will I be as great at flying as the other pegasi."

Blueblood stared at her for a moment and suddenly a thought came to his head."Everypony gather around the piano."Instructed Blueblood to the children.

The fillies and colts gathered around the piano in the corner.Butter Jelly sat in the front row as told by Blueblood.

"You see,children.When I was small I like to invent stuff.There was one invention that didn't go the way I hoped.I tried dozens of times but it still didn't work.So,I gave up but...that was until I heard a very inspirational song.Do you want to here it? "

The children including Butter Jelly nodded.

"Okay,Melody Song come here."

The filly went to Blueblood.His whispered something to her ear and she immediately nodded her head and played a tune on the piano.

Blueblood finished the song and was greeted by an applauding audience.Butter Jelly was espacially clapping loudly.

"What I'm trying to say is that if you have a dream don't let the fear of failing get in your way.Dreams won't come true if you stop believing.Each day you get another chance to make dreams into reality.To tell you the truth,the secret to achieving your dreams is hard work,faith and determanation.Do you understand kids...Chaser...Bouncy..Butter Jelly?"

Butter Jelly nodded with a smile.She felt more reassured.

"We understand,Doctor Blueblood."Said all the children simultaneously,

Twilight shook her head,she had been enthralled by Blueblood's singing and words.She opened the door and made her way into the playroom.All of the occupants  of the room turned their heads towards the alicorn princess.The children including Blueblood bowed to their monarch.Twilight blushed and told them to stop.

Blueblood stood quickly and made sure his mane was neat.Twilight hated when he did that.It always makes his mane more messier.

"Twilight,what brings you here."

"My dad told me to give you the notes about the surgery you'll be doing tomorrow."She passed over the notebook to Blueblood with her magic.

"Thank you."Twilight nodded and turned around and made her way out.

Alright,now or never Blueblood thought.He went over to Twilight.

"My shifts over,so....uh do you wannt t-to go to the castle together."

"I don't see why we should go together?"

"Well..for one we are getting married.So,we...should..you know, act like a c-couple."

"Look,Blueblood...."Twilight didn't get to finish her sentence as Butter Jelly suddenly came in between them.

"Wow you're getting married to Princess Twilight.That's wonderful,Doctor Blue."said Butter Jelly excitedly.

Twilight looked a little annoyed whereas Blueblood chuckled while scratching his head."It sure is."

"Doctor Blue is right Princess.You two should act more like a couple."She pushed the two out of the playroom."Have fun but not to much fun."With that Butter Jelly closed the door.

"So,are we going together."

Twilight glanced at Butter Jelly who was  observing through the window with a big smile.She didn't have a choice in this."Fine,let's go."

The entire walk to the castle was akaward.Blueblood had tried to make a conversation with Twilight but she would just replay in short answers.After a few failed tries,he thought it was best to just keep quiet.

Finally,they had reached the doors to the castle meeting room.As soon as Twilight entered the room,she was pulled by Rarity who had a measuring tape wrapped around her neck.

"Finally,you're here."

Blueblood went off to greet the rest of the mane five or at least tried too.Pinkie Pie was busy choosing conffeti,Applejack was planning the menu,Fluttershy was training her bird choir and Rainbow Dash was up in the air practising her stunts.With nothing to do,he just watched Twilight fidgeting while Rarity was taking her measurements.

"Oh,darling please do stay still.Don't you want your wedding dress to be spectacular."

"It dosen't have to be that spectacular.It's just a small wedding not many ponies are invited.Not many ponies are going to see my dress."Earlier,Twilight had disagreed to hold a grand wedding fitting for a princess much to her friends and parents dismay.

"Well,grand wedding or not.I'm not letting my friend's wedding dress be a disaster.So,just stand still aleready."Twilight stoped her fidgeting and let Rarity do her work.

"Uhmm...do you need me to do anything?"Blueblood wanted to have some part in the wedding preperations.

"There is one thing."Said a regal voice.

Blueblood knew quite well who owned that voice.He turned his towards the door and smiled at his Aunt Tia.

"Princess Celestia,I didn't expect to see you here."Said the lavender alicorn.

"I'm just checking on the wedding preperation.It seems that everything is going splendidly.Also,I want to call Blueblood to try on his suit."She began to exit the meeting room with Blueblood in tow."Keep up the good work everypony."

Celestia led Blueblood to his old quaters where he onced lived in the castle as a little colt.On the bed, he saw the ivory tunic of the ceremonial outfit of the prince of Equestria that was emboirded with Celestia's sun and Luna's moon on the collar and the blue sash of the most noble order of the pheonix.His heart sank when he saw the medal of valor.The medal is awarded to those who had done brave deeds in the fields of battle.

He sighed."Aunt Tia,do I really have to wear that."

"Of course,it's compulsory as a prince of Equestria to wear the ceremonial uniform."

"It's bad enought that the outfit looks like an officer's uniform to add the medal of valor,every glare will be on me on my wedding day."

Celestia sighed."Dear nephew,have you still not let go of the past.It's been years.Everypony has surely forgiven you by now."

Blueblood scoffed."Not Shining Armor.How can I let it go when I was responsible for the death of those who had served alongside me."He turned his back away from Celestia.

The griffon war which happend eight years ago was the result of the griffon kingdom who wanted to expand their borders.They had conquered Saddle Arabia and Prance.Princess Celestia at first did not want Equestria to get involve but when the griffon air force attacked Fillydelphia,that's when Equestria joined the war.Blueblood had joined the army and was sent to the front lines.During that time Blueblood was promoted to the the rank of lieutennant.One night,he was given the order to lead his team to patrol the area.On the patrol they saw two griffin soldiers.Blueblood thought that his team could take them down.He was wrong.Turns out the two griffons were with a whole section.That night,Blueblood's whole team was killed.He was injured but he managed to survive.

"Blueblood,look at me."He didn't listen."Look at me when I'm talking to you."Said Celeatia,this time with a more commanding voice.

He finally faced her.Celestia gentally stroked his mane."That tragedy was your fault but also it wasn't.Death is not something we can control.Even if you are in a fort high above the mountains death will come for you.They died because it was their time."

"But..."

Celestia sushed him."Blueblood,I love you.You are like a son to me.I don't want you to feel like this espacially at a time when you are about to be a husband.A husband needs to be brave so he can comfort his wife at times of distress and protect her at any cirumstances but how can you be brave when you are still haunted by your past.You must let it go.Do you understand me,Blueblood?"

He looked at his aunt in the eyes."Yes,auntie."

Celestia smiled and nuzzled Blueblood."Good.Now,go try on your suit."

Twilight stared blankly at the wedding invitation in front of her.

'You are cordially invited to the wedding of Her Royal Highness Princess Twilight Sparkle and His Grace Prince Blueblood.

It's clearly not right.Her groom wasn't  supposed to be Blueblood but Flash Sentry.Her Flash.Why did she have to go throught this wedding.Why?To make her dad happy.Sometimes,she just wish that she can magically heal her father but even magic has its limitations.

"Twilight,Twilight.TWILIGHT!"Shouted Applejack as she waved her hoof in front of Twilight's face.

Twilight left her trance."Oh,sorry Applejack."

Applejack looked at her friend concerned."What's wong,sugarcube?"

"Oh,leave her alone,Applejack.She's probably having some pre-wedding gitters."Chidded Rarity

"That's not it Rarity.I think I'm making a big mistake."

"About marrying Blueblood?"Said Flutershy.

"Yes."She sighed."Of course I am making the right choice for my parents espacially my dad but is it the right choice for me."

"Well,you two are super-duper smart.You two have probably loads to talk about the stuff that we don't know."Said Pinkie Pie.

"Oh please he can't even do magic.I'm sure he dosen't know half of Starswirl the bearded's theory.I don't know much about medical stuff and me and technology do not mix."She crossed her forelegs.

Applejack put her hoof on her shoulders."Sure he can't do magic but that's the only thing you know about the guy.If you just get to know him,you might find something that suprises you.There's more to that stallion than meets the eye."

"Just give him a chance darling,you saw him at your father's birthday party.He was quite the gentelcolt.Marriage can sometimes bring the best out of  ponies."

"And..if you just can't take it.You could always divorce him."Said Rainbow Dash bluntly."Twilight's ear sprang up.Rainbow was right there is always the option to divorce.

"Rainbow Dash!Watch your tounge.We shouldn't say that.We should hope for their hapiness.A divorce will be hard on everypony."Said Fluttershy.

"But it's still a possibility.I'm just saying the truth."

"Don't mind Rainbow Dash Twilight.I'm sure your marriage will be a happy one.Now,let's get back to planning the wedding,shall we."

As Ratity dragged her to Fluttershy's songbirds,Twilight thought about the possibility of a divorce.She could marry him for a few years and divorce him after her dad gets better.
